Joe was amazing. I had my tub done about 2 weeks ago (I waited to see if it would stick). It looks amazing. he explained everything he was doing and more. I called him on a thursday; sent him pictures via text and he gave me a price. I said OK he showed up Sunday on time. It took him about 3-4 hours and my tub looks amazing. Seriously don't buy a new tub but hire Joe. read more

Started well, ended with being ghosted I hired Correa Custom Coatings to fix a crack. Joe came out on May 30th and did the repair -- looked great at first. By mid-June, the same crack came back, so I called him and he came out again on July 8th to fix it, saying that if this fix didn't hold, he'd do a permanent "patch" to take care of it for good. The crack was back by July 9th. I contacted him again, and he scheduled a visit for July 20th -- but never showed up. I made every effort to get this resolved, reaching out multiple times by both text and voicemail. I made a bold effort to pay extra too -- I never expected the third fix to be free and said so clearly in my messages. I just wanted the crack permanently fixed, and was willing to pay for it. Despite all that, I got no response at all. It's been over a month with nothing. I really wanted to like this company -- Joe seemed professional, the work looked solid initially, and he did come back the first time without hassle. But ultimately being ghosted after being told he'd make it right, even when I offered to pay, is a dealbreaker. Can't recommend based on how this ended. read more

******LADIES BEWARE!!!******** I really hate to make such a negative review so I want to begin on a positive note. My job was completed however it was only satisfactory... I found these guys off of yelp and had them come out and work... I wasn't aware that I should not have been alone being a single woman, but these guys seem very professional over the phone.. completed my job. Several derogatory comments were made and I received several different looks and expressions made me very uncomfortable. I initially had on workout clothes so I went to go and change however the inappropriate energy did not end so I called my nephew (who just left) to come back to my house until the job was completed. my best suggestion for all women is to not have this guy Joe come out to your home and you're single and alone He didn't not physically make a move on me, but he is very inappropriate and flirtatious and I'm not sure how far he's willing to go if he has the proper time and space read more

About a year after Correa glazed our tub and shower, both started to peel (see photos). We appreciated that he honored his warranty and fixed both up for free. They look like new now. read more

Joe came to our house to reglaze 2 tubs and my kitchen sink. When he arrived at looked at the project, he said that none needed reglazing and he just repaired a few nicks in the sink and one tub. He was so honest and helpful. He said there was no charge. My husband couldn't believe it. Not even a trip charge. He was also kind and courteous. Do not hesitate to call him if you need his services. read more

After reading all of these stellar Yelp reviews, I am disappointed to report that I did not have a good experience while hiring Joe Correa. Without getting into too much painstaking detail, I found that he frequently contradicted himself (as well as the advice I received from my plumber and other bathroom professionals) regarding the overall process, order of operations, drying downtime, and our previously agreed upon appointment / arrival times. He did not properly ventilate the area despite having the tools to do so, and after three different work sessions in my tenants' apartment (when it was originally supposed to be only one), the end product is far from a professional job. He did not follow my requests, or the requests of my long time plumber, despite saying that it was 'no problem' - that it would all be done properly / in line with the basic asks... but on top of all that, he made plenty of mistakes on his own accord. When it was time to make a decision on how to fix those mistakes, he placed the full judgement call on me regarding best practices. Considering I am not the refinishing expert and hired him to be exactly that, this did not inspire confidence. The final result, after three appointments and three major headaches, is a sloppily refinished tub that will be redone by another company. read more

Correa Custom Coatings - Beautiful job! - Refinishing Services Near Me

I called Joe Correa at 9 pm and received a return call the next morning just before 8 am. I was remodeling a basement bath/laundry room and wanted to keep the old porcelain utility sink that had been in the house for at least 47 years. There was a crack in the base and several small chips. Joe and one of his assistants arrived at my home the following morning and after a few minutes getting to know each other (turns out we both like to talk) agreed on a price and date for completion of the restoration of the utility sink. The sink was returned one week later and looked brand new. I couldn't be happier. I know the sink in the before photo doesn't look that bad but the crack at the bottom of the sink worried me. No leaks but without restoration I didn't want to keep it. You can't purchase these sinks any more. Have you seen the plastic utility sinks they sell today, one year of use and they go into the trash. Anyway, Joe Correa, was prompt, explained the whole process, gave me a fair price and completed the job as promised. I do not imagine I will need his services in the near future but highly recommend his business. read more

Joseph and his crew were awesome! We contacted Joseph to get an estimate. He gave us an estimate. We accepted and scheduled for him to come refinish our tub. They showed up on time. Did the refinished within a few hours. It turned out beautiful. After about a week of settling Joseph came back and installed a permanent non slip bath mat. Our bathtub is beautiful again! Looks like new! I would definitely use Joseph and Correa Custom Coatings if the need arises again and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Great job & service! I actually waited a few months before writing this review, wanted to make sure the tub was not going to start peeling a week later, but nothing happen and still.looks like new. I found them here on yelp and I called Joe. Since this was the first time I was having this done and installing new vinyl surrounding I was not sure how to tackle this, Joe basically guided me on this. Once I was ready for the tub, I called Joe and he showed up on time as scheduled. He explained the process of refinishing the tub and finished the job on time. Nice guy to chat with. It's been about a year and a half since my tub was done. It's held up ok. The rating is more of a 3.5. I didn't give it a 4 or a 5 because I have two complaints: 1) I don't like that there was something put in the corner where the tub and tile wall meet before the tub was painted. That meant that there was gaps in what was painted. That is starting to show again. I'd rather had them spray then add that so when it's time to replace it there would be none of the old tub showing. When the caulk started to peel and I noticed this he did come back and recaulk. So that was a plus. 2) I was told the grout would be scarped before being coated and it wasn't. That has been an annoyance for me. The paint makes it not visible from afar but when up on it trying to clean I can tell. We got the nonslip coating at the bottom of the tub. That works well. In all it looks nice. I'm hoping it's stands up until we guy rehab it in the coming years. Side note: I have noticed a nic in the paint on the rim of the tub. Is there any way to fix it or prevent it from getting worse?? read more

Seriously, By far one of the most amazing things I've ever done to my home. I'm so sorry I waited so long BUT it was meant because this guy is amazing. A real artist and progressional. He's by far one of the neatest and meticulous workers I've ever had. This changed our bathroom 1,000 percent. Best part. He was substantially more affordable than ALL other companies. Don't delay. Joe did a great job making my old tub look like new again. I have recommended him to several others and will continue to.

Joe did a great job. Scheduled appointment over the phone for 2 tubs. One needed to just be touched up and the second redone. He explained the process and did exactly what he said. In addition he told me what to expect as one of the tubs was long gone and needs to be replaced. Not sure why anyone would say he contradicts himself. Plumbers want to rip out tubs and Joe is completely upfront with his services. They also use high quality epoxy from Blackhawk that is known to be the best in the industry. Plan on using him for bathroom walls next. He's also just a really nice guy. read more

Joe was super. Starting with quoting, he was incredibly quick to respond, shared info to confirm with others quoting, and was very price-competitive. He fit us in to reglaze our tub and tile surround, and he and his brother did an incredible job. It doesn't even look like the same bathroom anymore, and it's entirely due to Joe's skill and attention to detail. I've used other reglazing services before, but Correa is my new go-to. read more

Joe was so kind and efficient!! I reached out to him since a previous tenant had left the bathtub with heavy stains. No matter how much bleach, dish soap, degreaser I used - it wouldn't get it out. He did in 10 minutes!! He also noticed my little one and put in a bathmat so she doesn't slip and fall. Who does that now a days?! Joe does!! I highly recommend! read more

I wrote a review for Joe back in 2016 after being very pleased with his work on the tub in my condo, and I'm back in 2018 to say that he's done it again! I bought an old house a month ago and have been renovating the kitchen and master bath. The guest bath however was not in terrible condition, but I knew what a difference a tub reglaze would make, so I called up Joe. He made time in his very busy schedule to get the job done for me. As was my previous experience, I'm so impressed with the care he took to prep and clean everything first to ensure a beautiful end result. I can't really say enough about how good the tub and the tile surround looks -- completely like new! Even with all of the other reno projects going on in this house, it's easily been the best money I've spent! read more

Joe was nothing short of amazing to work with. I have an older 2 flat and the basement bathroom really needed a refresh. Joe quoted me a great price and uses quality materials, not the acrylic that can peel in a few years. He examined the tile work and found rotting wood on a ledge under the window from years of water saturation. He cleaned it all out and created a cement ledge that he slanted toward the tub for draining, then insulated the wall. He did this for no extra charge, just materials. He was responsive, punctual, pleasant and careful about COVID. Can't recommend him enough. Photos to come! read more
