Two bathtubs in my 75-year-old home were badly in need of a makeover. One tub in particular was an embarrassment with the obvious signs of a previous poorly executed reglaze. Further, every time I looked at this same time, I was reminded of the damage I inflicted with a power saw (long story). I would never consider the option of fitting a pre-fabricated tub over an otherwise great bathtub. In less than one day, Henry made both our tubs look brand new. Even fixing the power saw wound I had inflicted on one tub. He was very professional and thorough. I particularly admired the finishing touches of superior caulking. (I'm even more dangerous with a caulk gun than I am with a power saw.) Very clean and every effort was made to ventilate in a way that minimized the fumes while not compromising the quality of the finished product. Henry also took the time to discuss options for reglazing/refinishing the wall and floor tile to complete the makeover of my bathrooms. When it's time for this project, I will certainly contact Aarco. In short, reglazing our bathtubs, and potentially the existing wall and floor tile, is an economic and aesthetic alternative to a full bathroom renovation. I booked an appointment 2 weeks ago and had an 11am-1pm window for a tub refinish. I waited until 1pm, but nobody showed. I called 5x and finally was able to leave a voicemail on my 5th try. I received a text msg, not a callback at 1:36pm. It said the tech had a family emergency and I would have to reschedule. While I understand that things happen, it's so unprofessional not to contact me ahead of time and tell me. I took half the day off of work for this. A complete waste of my time. I will be giving someone else the opportunity to fix my tub. read more

Just got gone having AARCO re-do my vintage bathtub. The old finish was peeling and flaking off. I spoke to and emailed with Kerry, the owner, who was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and professional. On the date of the appointment, his son, arrived promptly. I left him alone and came home and was pleased with the way he left everything (clean). Their prices were comparable to another competitor and I decided to go with AARCO because they sold me on their product being a better option. Expect a strong odor for a day (give or take) after they complete their work. They were pretty busy, so schedule your appointment at least a couple of weeks before you need it done. Had a tiny little dimple (like a popped air bubble) that I noticed when they were done. It didn't really bother me cosmetically but Kerry was happy to send out a touch-up kit to cover the spot. read more

I had used another tub refinishing company who did an absolutely awful job and did not stand behind their product. The tub began to peel and look awful after only a few short months, and I had only used it twice. I feared that the refinish had ruined my beautiful cast iron tub. Thank goodness for the team at Aarco Baths... I scheduled a technician to assess the situation and re-do the damage done. I feared that it would be a fortune and I was screwed. 3 years later and our tub still looks great. They took our classic pink 1950's tub to a sparkling white 2015 version of the same. The young man that did the job was tidy and efficient. The fumes were well vented. No mess left behind. We would definitely use them again. read more

We hired this company to paint our tile and tub. They never came out to access the job. They merely requested we text them a picture. The tech had a problem with the paint running on the side of the tub and said he would come back to fix it, which he did.........We had a flower pattern on 4 pieces of the tile which the tech didn't seem to think was an issue, however when done, the pedals on the flowers were apparently raised just enough and it now looks like the paint ran there. He never mentioned this prior to starting the job. My husband could have sanded the area to make it smooth before starting the job. Also, the edge of the tub has many little tiny holes in it. At one point when we called the company to ask if someone with more experience could come out and look, we were told no, that the techs have to correct their own mistakes. I don't believe that's the way to run a company. Maybe the tech that did our job didn't have enough experience. He was a nice guy, but didn't do a great job. I would not recommend this compan. read more

Had these guys come out to re-glaze my bath tub about a week ago. Great job, tub looks almost like new. Came in and went right to work, outside of the odor, which does dissipate, very nice work. A bit more expensive than some of the other "tub re finishers" , but that is comparing an apple to an orange. Have used the "Cheaper" guys and very disappointed. Aarco baths refinished our bathtub on 03/24/2016 they did not do a thorough job and my wife called them back the following day to come out a second time to touchup spots that they had missed. They returned but the job was still not satisfactory. However we decided we could live with it. During the first week of June less than 90 days after aarco performed the work a bubble formed under the material used to refinish the tub. My wife called Aarco and they told us they would come out today to look at it. After inspecting the area the worker told us that it was caused by a chip and that their guarantee does not apply to chips. There is no way to definitley come to this conclusion. It was not caused by a chip It was caused by poor workmanship on the part aarco and shoddy work that had been performed on our tub. We paid $750 for the work which lasted less than 90 days and Aarco will not stand behind their work. I would not recommend this company to refinish your bathtub and consumer beware. read more

First of all, getting in touch with a live person at Aarco is difficult but also getting a call back after leaving messages is almost unheard of. We scheduled an appointment for 2 weeks out and they no-showed - no call, no apology, no anything. I think the finish on bathtub and tile is great. Their response to call backs is terrible. I have been told someone will come and then no one calls or shows up. I should not have to fix bubbles that appeared on a new installation. They should come and complete the job. read more
