I recently did pretty much a gut rehab of my bathrooms and was contemplating completely removing the old tub but the costs associated with it (plus the risk of unseen problems and costs coming up once it comes out) were just too much for this gal. So after a little research, i decided to try refinishing. At first I was just going to repair a tiny chip in the floor of the tub, but at the last minute decided to just do the whole thing. So glad I did. The tub looks like brand new, so shiny white and perfect with a new no-slip floor. So I freaked out a little bit the other day when I saw a greyish spot that wouldn't come off. Ruh ro. The 5 year guaranty said it didn't cover stains or the like, so I was a bit afraid when I called on Tuesday to ask them if they could come fix it. They could not have been nicer and said "how about Friday?". Awesome! The worker showed up right on time, said he hadn't seen anything like that before, but applied a little solvent, and in about 1 minute it was perfect again. Easy peasy! I said I felt bad he had come all that way for that, and what should I do next time. He said it is no big deal, just call them and they will come out. Fabulous!
The only hitch was with the original scheduling, there was some kind of mixup and I was moved from morning to late afternoon. However, when I said I had to get to an appointment, the refinisher worked industriously and finished faster than usual to help me get out the door. Everything in the bathroom was covered and kept clean which was great, too.
Seriously so glad I chose to refinish the tub, and glad I picked Arlington. read more
