Driving 5 1/2 hours to our home, her car had been running poorly the entire time. I only found out later that she had been living with this running problem for several months and had taken the car to two different shops near her apartment for repair. Also, the engine gauge was running "near the red zone" as my daughter said. I called Palumbo's and Steve kindly explained that they were extremely busy and if I was not in a rush they would be happy to work the job in. Two days later I received a call from Kyle with the report that the (newer) spark plugs were of the incorrect type and an ignition coil was bad. The running hot problem, Kyle explained, was believed to be from a cooling system hose leak. I gave Kyle authorization to fix the car. He did say the car may have other issues but this is a good place to start. They had also found and repaired a tire that my daughter had been topping off for six months. Six months! Missy says her car is running great. My wife and I are expecting that her ride home next week will be trouble-free (for her), but bittersweet (for us). Thanks to the entire Palumbo team.

So I called Mavis Tires & Brakes and made a appointment to bring my car in to have the tire looked at. Maybe an hour later, when I left home to go to Mavis, the tire was completely flat. Had to call AAA to tow my car to Mavis. It took Mavis less than an hour to get me going. They found the culprit and only charged me $30 to plug up my tire. They didn't try to tell me that I need to replace my tire or upsell me anything. They just plugged up my tire and I was good to go. Mike and Luis at the front desk were couple of good guys. I would definitely recommend them and go back if I need tires or brakes work done again.

During that visit, I was told additional repairs could cost up to $2,244.76, depending on further parts or services. I declined and requested that the original issue be properly repaired without additional charges, as that was the purpose of the initial service. I was later informed that no further repairs would be performed on my vehicle. I am requesting a proper repair or a full refund for the work that was paid for but not completed. We scheduled the appointment ahead a few days and I was able to get my car in. Their technicians knocked out the short laundry list of stuff on my car quickly and at a good price. I didn't lose my transportation for more than a couple hours and they even told me about a future problem they'd be happy to take care of another day.
