I was getting an oil change- they asked me my mileage preference for reminders, type of oil, etc. Never once did they try to add anything extra. The oil change was quick and they also replaced my filters (which I know needed replacement). They honored my coupon and were very polite. I spoke to about 3 different mechanics in my short time there and they were all professional and polite. They even walked me to the car at the end and opened the door for me. This may seem small, but I've never gotten this treatment at any other car place before. Afterwards, my car was making a weird sputtering sound and I brought it back. The manager took a look and saw there was some dirt left on the filter sensor. He personally blew out the dirt and had others deep clean the filter area. Would it have been nice to have it cleaned this well the first time? Yes. But I appreciate the time they took in making it right and they were again professional and polite throughout the experience and did not try to tell me something else was wrong with my car. So I called Mavis Tires & Brakes and made a appointment to bring my car in to have the tire looked at. Maybe an hour later, when I left home to go to Mavis, the tire was completely flat. Had to call AAA to tow my car to Mavis. It took Mavis less than an hour to get me going. They found the culprit and only charged me $30 to plug up my tire. They didn't try to tell me that I need to replace my tire or upsell me anything. They just plugged up my tire and I was good to go. Mike and Luis at the front desk were couple of good guys. I would definitely recommend them and go back if I need tires or brakes work done again.

We had been 3 hours into a 3,000 mile road trip (began in NYC) and started breaking down on the interstate. We pulled off the next exit and yelped the nearest auto repair shop (Midas). Despite being busy with many other cars, they were VERY kind to squeeze us in. Not only did they diagnose the issues quickly, but they fixed it promptly and for a reasonable price. They also showed us everything under the hood, all the bad parts, and explained why they needed to be replaced... which, for me, was wonderful because I generally don't understand cars. Rather than simply having to take their word for it, they physically showed us every bad part in comparison to a good part. Unfortunately, we live in NYC, but if we were nearby this would be our new place. THANK YOU to everyone here. I called around 5:45 PM, explained what was going on with my vehicle, and was told that if I could get there by 6:00 PM, they would be happy to help. Unfortunately, just minutes before arriving, I got caught at a red light, and my car suddenly wouldn't accelerate even though it was still in drive. I had to put my hazards on, turn the car off and back on a few times, and thankfully, I was eventually able to get it moving again. At 5:57 PM, I called the shop back to explain what had just happened. Honestly, I was already prepared to tell them that I completely understood if they could no longer help me because of the time. However, Rick still came outside, scanned my vehicle, and went above and beyond to help me. During the inspection, he noticed that my car was completely out of oil, which appeared to be one of the immediate concerns, especially with the possibility of an oil leak. He even went as far as giving me 5 quarts of oil to help me out. Rick's willingness to help didn't just mean getting answers about my car. By taking the time to assist me, he helped me get home from work safely and still make it to my sibling's birthday celebration. Those were two things I genuinely didn't know if I would be able to do after what happened with my vehicle. What really stood out to me was that Rick didn't leave until approximately 6:35 PM, well after closing time. He absolutely did not have to stay that long, but he chose to take the extra time to help someone who needed it. It's not every day you come across someone who is willing to go out of their way like that, especially when their workday is already over. Rick, if you ever get to see this, THANK YOU! Your kindness, patience, generosity, and willingness to help meant more than you probably realize. Extremely Disappointing Experience - Beware of the Final Bill! In the middle of the day, they called to tell me the cleaning had not completely resolved the issue and recommended replacing the spark plugs and ignition coils. I agreed to the additional work, but at no point during that phone call did they tell me what it would cost. Imagine my shock when I arrived to pick up my car and was handed a bill for $1,600! Going from a service that was supposed to cost less than $300 to a $1,600 bill without clearly communicating the additional cost beforehand is absolutely unacceptable.
