The 5.4 ft 125 lbs. (estimated description) staff was very rude to me yesterday (10/3/2024). I went in for a tire change (my first visit) and was asked to park my car in the garage. To politely tell me which way he expected me to park, the small fellow screamed at me like am a kid. I remained quiet. When they were done, he told me to go and make payment. I informed him that I did. He ran to the office like he knows me to be a liar, and came out smiling with shame, while I stayed there waiting to give him my receipt. I did not smile back then he shut the gate with force as so as I came out. I am not sure about the others working there but this guy exhibited poor customer service and racist behaviors. read more

The rudest customer service ever! I've been a customer for several years and suffered through the horrendous customer service because they were cheaper than other places. Whoever the person is who always answers the phone is truly unpleasant and acts like you are bothering him. No more. I would not recommend this place. read more

Customer service not a strong point here - but they are to the point and efficient. Fixed my tire leak very quickly , late on a Saturday afternoon close to closing time. Both the guy at the desk and the tech who fixed the tire had very few words - not rude at all, but just no customer skills or people skills. I may even go back if I need them again! read more

These guys are amazing and patient! My car is currently being worked on and I'm just pleased at their level of professionalism. Sometimes these types of places can be stressful just in terms of cost. Just bought a set of General Grabber AT2's for my truck from the guys at 3 Js. As always I am pleased with my purchase from them. They always give me great recommendations with a good price. Service was quick, I waited while they mounted my tires and was there for no more than 90 minutes. I have sent my mom to 3 Js as well as work vehicles and can honestly say. Two weeks ago I had 4 new Michelin tires put on my car. I was originally happy with the quick service but a week later while on my way to New England, the tire pressure light went on. It was the middle of the night so I had to wait and have the tires checked in the morning. The pressure on my front tires should be 33 but one tire was 37 and the other 35. The back tires should be 30 but were 33 and 35. I had to have the pressure corrected before resuming my trip. I'm sad the time and effort wasn't taken to ensure the correct pressure wasn't put in the tires when they were installed. read more

Reasonably priced tires and fast service. HOWEVER, guy who runs the front desk on the weekends could benefit from some customer service training. Today, I overheard him speak very sharply and rudely on the phone to a customer, saw and heard him hang up on the customer mid -conversation and use the f word within earshot of other patrons. Plus, he didn't bother to say thank after we dropped almost a grand there. If you're a delicate flower or if you want to feel like a valued customer , you might want to go elsewhere. read more

Back here again for the second time for a flat tire--love these guys! First time I had a crack in my wheel well that they fixed by welding and it has been holding for the last three months without issue. This fix cost me $80 versus a new wheel which would be likely four times more expensive. I'm here now for a nail in the tire. They fixed in less than fifteen minutes. I went to get my lugs checked after switching to a spare, when the man who looked at my tires told me my tread was too low, that I needed new tires to pass car inspection. I went to my dealer for a second opinion, where they have digital screening of tread as it enters the shop. The tread was ok. So they were trying to sell me tires when it was not necessary. Not cool. Further more, the man put on the lugs too hard that one lug is stuck on my car that one can't change the tire- so if it messes up when it is forced off, I may have to pay for replacing the stud. Very deceived and disappointed by this business. read more

The shop in claymont put my duel tires on wrong stripped my lugs I took it back to show him the tires wobble he was like what do you want me to do about it. So all I got was a bunch of smart mouth from him.he wanted to know if I came there to tell him he don't know his job. No I didn't but he should have seen it with his own eyes. Jay is always up front with cost. Never an issue when I buy tires from them or have them plug a hole. I tried Pep Boys last year with a coupon, but took them 3 hrs instead of the 1hr quoted and the final price was $60 above the coupon, (they didn't disclose other fees, etc. upfront). Definitely recommend. Eric is great! Had to get towed here when my tire blew out and he discounted me since he knew I also had to pay for the tow. Cheaper than any other tire shop I called in the area. Only $95.00 for a tire that competitors quoted me $170-$200. They had the tire in stock which came as a surprise because most tire shops do not. The product I purchased was dry rotted and became flat quickly. When I went back, with a receipt and for a new tire instead or a refund, the gentleman behind the counter yelled at me, accused me of putting the tire on incorrectly, pointed his finger in my face, and then waved me out of the store. Absolutely horrible experience. I went there to purchase 4 new tires total cost over 700.00. I asked owner can we negotiate the tire price. He stated after 30 years when someone asks me that I usually never do it and I give them three tries. I stated price is always negotiable if you say no that's okay. He stated now that's your second time. He became very rude and awfully disrespectful. He stated that a third time would get me booted from his tire shop. I advised him that in no way would I continue with this and removed myself from this horrible experience. I am saddened that a owner with over 30 years experience treats any customer like that.
