Updating my review of this location as it has been over 4 years since my last review. I tried to get my oil changed and the guy came out almost right away and wanted to talk to me. He then stated that he is refusing to service my car.. for an oil change, nothing else.. because it's making a "noise" which I didn't hear anything out of the ordinary, I've had my car for 12 years. He said he won't change the oil cuz something else could be wrong with it and he didn't want me coming back and saying they did something to it. He spoke to me like a bully just because I was a women by myself. I had never seen this guy before so he must be newer since my last oil. change. I was so absolutely flabbergasted. Never has anyone there ever spoken to me in that way. He was so rude and condescending, definitely NOT the type of person you want working with the public. My husband just so happened to get his oil changed the next day at a different location and relayed the situation to them, they couldn't believe it either and said they were going to look into it. Whether they do or not makes no difference, as I will not be returning to the Elkton location again. As a follow up, I did take my car to my regular, local, reliable mechanic and he looked at it and could not find anything wrong, or hear any odd noise. Smh. Completed my routine oil change in 11/22 preparing for my road trip to Canada. I was about 3hours into my drive, and my vehicle indicated that my oil levels needs to be reduced and check my vehicle manual. I was in a safe place to pull over. I reviewed my vehicle and manual to see what I needed to do and it stated I needed to get the oil reduced before it caused damage to my engine system. I had to google where I could find a place to go, mind you!! I'm on a road trip to Canada and the route I was going was in the deep mountains let's just say (Red State). I was able to find just a few miles from where I was locate, it was called Take 5 Oil Change these two gentlemen were absolutely amazing and helpful to me. I explained what my vehicle stated, and they pulled my vehicle to check, the smaller guy, got my hood opened and proceeded to check when the larger guy was asking me in a nice manner what are you doing here in this part of town. I explained and he was amazed. just a few minutes later the smaller guy called for the larger guy and showed him my dip stick and they cleaned it off and completed it two more times to be sure. while they had to drain out 2 quarts of oil, and they showed me the process and how it worked. well, the first outpouring of oil was dirty, and that meant my oil change from from Jiffy Lube store 537 in Elkton. was not done correctly!! So, after completing yet another oil change service that I've already paid for the day before and it wasn't done properly and could have caused major damage to my vehicle. I then proceeded with my road trip. Fast forward to my return home. I completed my survey and asked to speak with someone about my experience and the next morning about 7:30am I received a phone call from the manager Michael Galford store #537. He proceeded to state how I'm a loyal customer and he reviewed the camera and the service tech was an experienced technician of 16 years (blah blah). He watched the video and he see him letting all my oil be drained, and he wouldn't even stop long enough to fully understand or listen to what I was saying about my vehicle, he was talking too much to not even hear me. I stated to him, so my vehicl, and the guys at Take 5 are wrong he just kept saying you can come and look at the cameras, and he will give me a coupon for my next visit . I was in disbelief of how unprofessional he was. First off you're calling me early morning, the lack of respect. you've already made up your own mind about my questioning my experience after you seen my survey, you never asked me for any paperwork, from the other place to show that I received services from them just 24 hours of my regular routine oil change from your place. You never asked me about what my vehicle, you just wanted to tell me how much experience the guy had and look at your cameras and here's a coupon. I proceeded to say to him. I'm not coming and my vehicle again was over 2quarts, and I'd watched them drain it out, and we will agree to disagree. The arrogance and lack of listening to obtain the full story as a manage, and being in customer service. It wasn't like I was asking for a refund. I just wanting to acknowledge what happened and the damage it could have caused my vehicle, and I've been a loyal customer for years. Not anymore!! We must do better. Dear Dave, I'm sorry you work there but they didn't stand behind their work. I guess they do when it's only good work. The old oil filter as you called it only had 5,000 miles on it and shouldn't have a problem getting it off. How do you find out that they over tightened it without trying to take it off. So no manager took care of it and I still paid full price. Doesn't matter cause I'm NEVER coming back. Or anybody I know or can tell my story to. Thank you. read more

Just desired an oil change along with tire rotation. What a scam joint this Elkton road place is. First I was told that I needed differential rear service, after I declined that they attempted similar sales pressure about needing radiator service; then of course right into why I need to allow them to charge me $39.99 to replace the cabin air filter which costs about $6.00 on Amazon and takes all of two minutes. I almost lost my patience when he jumped right into why it is critical that I should replace a perfectly good set of wiper blades which just about any auto parts store will gladly step outside and install the ones purchased for a third of the cost. I could see if I was driving some beater, but the vehicle is my wife's 2018 Acura with 14,000 miles on the odometer and is brought to a different location for regular service every three months. I do not appreciate the upsell on every single item possible on their menu, especially when you come in a state exactly what it is you want and you're not interested in anything else. I can only imagine if my wife took the vehicle to this location. Considering the high pressure I was getting, they surely would have roped her for at least $5-600 bucks. Guess it's time for me to go back to doing oil changes myself. I feel so sorry for the unknowledgeable or unsuspecting customers. ...What a bunch of shysters. read more

Like everyone else, I went in for an oil change. Immediately they start trying to sell the expensive oil (at nearly $30/quart!), and talking about new air filters. They don't treat you with respect, they talk down to you. They expect you to know nothing of the services they provide so that they can rip you off. Complete scam. Oh, and they over-tightened the oil drip pan plug. It's supposed to be tightened to 14nm on my car. The rubber seal under the head of the bolt was crushed and broken. Avoid this place. During the recent snowstorm the splash guard/air dam on my car came loose and began dragging, making a horrible noise. I couldn't remove it myself; I simply didn't know how. On a whim I drove into the Elkton Jiffy Lube to see if they could remove it. Jon greeted me with kindness and professionalism and said he'd take it off within 5 minutes. He pulled my car in, promptly removed the part and pulled it back out to the parking lot with a smile and a "thumbs up". Great guy; made my day. read more

This place is convenient to my house as it's not too far from me. I think the prices here are pretty expensive and they don't do everything like a Midas or a Mineke (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) but they are fast. They will vacuum your car and do checks on everything like washer fluid and antifreeze. It's part of the oil change. In all the people here are very friendly and they usually have a coupon online for 10 bucks off for oil change. I'll be back read more

This used to be my favorite place for an oil change. I went out of my way to come to this location. The last service I had here and it was the last, they damaged the wheel speed sensor harness when they rotated my tires. When I pointed out the damage wires and dash board ABS light to the manager he said "I DONT KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU BUD". read more

Wow! They were fast!! I usually take my car to Midas down the street but decided to change it up today. Glad I did. They were much faster, customer service was fantastic, the quality of service in my opinion was much better than Midas, and they were reasonably priced. For a synthetic oil change I paid the exact same thing I usually do at Midas, so to me it was worth it to get better customer service and quality for the same price. read more

Stay away. I came in for an oil change. They wanted to replace my air filter. They didn't have it in stock so went to auto zone to get it. My car was in the service bay waiting for the air filter. Then other cars showed up. They started my car and drove it out of the service bay with no air filter into a dusty, dirty, pollen filled part of the parking lot. When I noticed, I ran out and told them to turn off the car, it had no air filter. They said it was no problem. Really, look in your car's maintenance manual about driving your car with no airfilter. They said it was not harmful. You might as well throw sand into your engine directly. These guys are totally clueless and obviously don't car about the customer or the damage they cause to your car. This jiffy lube is absolutely amazing! I cannot express it in any other words bc they blew my mind with amazing customer service! They were very fast and effiecent. They check out everything on the car for you. All your fluids, your engine air filter, your cabin air filter, fuel filter, wiper blades, all of your lights, tire pressure and the condition of your tires all for free. My transmission fluid was 2 quarts low and they filled it up for free. Not only do they do all of this stuff for FREE they also provide you with other services like fluid flushes, engine/cabin/fuel filter replacement, fuel system cleanings and various other services. And not only do they offer all the things I had mentioned above say you get the signature service which is the oil change and all the FREE stuff I previously mentioned and it only takes them about 10-15 minutes bc these guys are amazing!!
