Unfortunately after my 3rd time giving this salon a try I will not be returning. The first time as you can read on my previous review Cindy did a great job doing a powder dip, however a week later I started to notice how my dip was beginning to raise up meaning there was a void under my nail and my hair started to get caught on these areas where it was no longer attached to my nail. I also noticed how thick the powder dip was and that made my nails look obviously not as natural. I came back 3 weeks later after all my powder dip nails were able to be removed easily to have a new dip powder done by Cindy again, she asked why I removed it instead of coming back here to have them remove them and I explained they literally were coming off on their own and causing issues getting caught so I couldn't wait to see her (this was over the holidays) I told her if she can also make them a bit less thick so it doesn't look like a fat short fake nail. She said yes of course and she did, a week later my nails were already coming off again which is when I decided to come back and show her and have them completely remove them and do gel instead. She began to tell me the reason why they're coming off is because I wanted them so thins that this is what would happen! I understand what she is saying and it would make sense if what I had asked for was an unrealistic expectation... don't we go to the nail salon to get nails that look as natural as possible? My co worker also gets dip powder here and is how I was referred to in the first place, her nails do not look bulky and fat at all and she is the one who told me that I should ask for thinner because that is what she gets and most clients expect work that looks natural otherwise it would look obviously fake and a bad job. Regardless I decided to do gel, I thought a simple resolution, Cindy had a guy removed my powder dip nails and do my gel, I showed the staff Cindy and the man working on my nails the design I wanted, I believe he tried to do a good job however it wasn't good enough. In the pictures you can see how he did not bother to complete cover my nail, he only painted what was in front of him, I go to the professional nail salon so they can do a good job, otherwise I would do this myself at home and miss all the edges of my nail. So at the end I ended up paying $68 dollars to have them remove my dip powder (what was left since it was coming off) a bad gel and nail art. Seems like some customers they do a good job and perhaps others they don't care. read more

The stars Im giving are because there is sometimes a cute puppy there and the staff is generally kind, but there's a lot of staff so it's a hit or miss. I have found myself at M&M 3 times because of its convenient location, but since my last time I definitely won't be returning. The manicurist literally made every single one of my fingers bleed when doing my cuticles. She didn't once slow down or apologize or ask if it hurt. It was the most uncomfortable experience because I had to advocate for myself while the manicurist could clearly see that they were cutting me. I have been going to M&M Nails regularly for 17 months and was initially very satisfied. However, I no longer feel that way. There is a huge turnover of nail technicians, I never see the same people working there; I have only had the same tech once, in spite of asking for a previous person I was happy with. Once the owner insisted that they don't have a person working there with that name. The last two nail techs cut my nails shorter than I requested. Time to look for a new salon. read more

It's located right next to the Food for Thought. The outdoor sign is small but you can see it if you look for the red lettering. Price for 2 pedicures (1of which had no polish) and 1 manicure was $125. They got our nails it done faster than the usual salon does. 10/10 aesthetic. They play the nicest music and everything is SPARKLING clean. Plus they have a nice, non-basic front desk snacks. They do NOT honor reservations because they are so nice to walk in customers. Super nice people, the woman who works there is particularly kind and considerate. They are hospitable and offer beverages to everyone waiting. Very welcoming to walk in customers. read more

I've been getting acrylic nails for about 10 years now and I've never had an experience like this. Firstly, they charged me extra for putting gel color on the nails, which usually comes with acrylic fills. Reluctantly I paid up. In the first morning I saw small chips and 3 days later they look horrendous. I haven't done anything unusual. This combination is normally bullet proof anyway. The gel on my feet held up better but the overpriced Pedicure that was supposed to come with a 15 minute massage was not good. She touched my caffs for about two minutes and it was so bad that when she stopped after 2 minutes I was glad it w was over and didn't say anything about it being advertised as 30 min. I've been getting acrylic nails done for over 25 years . I went last Sunday and an young man did my nails and applied gel polish . I noticed he did not use a base coat but I didn't think anything of it as I've had them done without that before. he applied the polish to the tip of my nail as well. next day they started peeling off ! the entire three coats of polish all in on sweep. I should have returned to show them later that day or first thing Tuesday but I was busy . went in today and quietly told the lady what had happened ... I asked to get them re polished . I didn't say anything about getting them done for free. she was with a client and told me to sit down and she'd be a few minutes . she said it again a few minutes later so I waited . once she was done with the client she walked away and then wondered back to tell me she had appointments and she could do for free another time ! it would have taken her all of ten minutes to re polish my nails ! I got up and left . they just lost a customer . very poor business practice rather than spend 10 minutes to make it right and have me return she chose the appointment . Terrible experience. I ordered two color chrome and got orange then the man tried to convince me it was right. After getting upset with me because I spoke up he was very rude! During my first trip to M&M Nails, I got a dip manicure and it chipped within 2 days. I have never had dip powder chip from any other salon prior to this experience. I always go to M&M nails when I visit my mother. I recently had a acrylic infill which wasn't very good but put it down to a one off. Today i went for pédicure with my 10 year old daughter. They charged me $30 instead of $20 for a kids pédicure. When I asked why they informed me it was based on "height not age"!!! My daughter is tall and they just wanted am excuse to charge me more. I was with my 87 year old Mom and they gave us two teenage boys to do our mani and pedi. They didn't speak to us. No water. The hot stones weren't hot and when I said that he didn't understand so he dipped them in cold water! The leg massage consisted of him moving his hands on my legs and feet as he starred at the 10 minute clock. Then they kept my Mom sitting in her pedicure chair for a manicure and then just left her there and moved on the other people. Not pleasant, just irritated to be working.
