We weren't exactly satisfied with the move. They weren't horrible but I would not use them again. A ton of this were damaged in our move. Not enough to report back to the owner. I'm just not that kind of person but enough so where I wouldn't use them or recommend them. My mom is moving and we are going with another company. The owner is very nice and I think if he was with his crew, they would've done a better job. Half of his crew was great. Then, we packed like crazy! On the selected date, they were running 30 minutes late and called me. I appreciated the call and it gave me more time to pack boxes. We are doing a partial move into a Unit to move some now and will pack the rest of our house in a few weeks. The 4 men were so efficient. They packed our house in no time flat! So great! I can't believe how they listened to our concerns for what stayed and what was packed, incredibly careful packing our expensive living room, dining room furnishings and made sure we were happy with their work. Not only was M&M the most competitively priced, everyone I spoke to was incredibly helpful and took the time to understand my needs and explain the nuances of the price breakdown with me, which other movers didn't. The move itself went perfectly -- they were clearly pros. They loaded and unloaded quickly and got everything up my narrow stairs and into the apartment with apparent ease (though it certainly was challenging). If you want your belonging damaged hire this company. They packed my trailer (ABF Trailer) for shipment to Florida when it arrived the company on the other end (Florida) Could not believe how bad they packed the trailer TV broken, furniture all scratched , couch full of grease and lamp broken. Then to top that off items marked fragile were put on the bottom so many dishes and other household item broken. Just Be Ware they need to learn how to pack properly. Also don't count on them to show up on time 2hrs late. Would not hire them again or refer them to anybody. read more

We have moved over 10 times in the last 20 years, including abroad and back. We wanted 4 movers and really we only got 3. The one driving didn't do much, but stand at the truck and play with his phone. He brought his 15 year old son not sure why. Of the 3 other guys only one really hustled and knew what he was doing. The other 2 were new and being trained. We moved 8 miles and it cost 2400 including tip which in the long run, I shouldn't have given. Plus we bought them pizza, water and coke. They charged 9% for gas, which ended up being $170. Ridiculous, trip was 8 miles! Not up to expectations and they seriously didn't know how to pack the truck. We moved from Bay Area a year ago with the same amount of things, same size truck and it all fit in one trip, we paid 2100 including tip. It took them 2 hours from Bay Area to Elk Grove and we still paid less. These guys from M&M movers had to do 2 trips because they didn't know how to properly pack the truck. They refused to take any plants, any open boxes or any lamps! They weren't flexible and worked so slow for the time to drag on. I could have hired 4 guys, rented a truck and spent less money. We used M&M to move from Modesto to Sonora, CA. We had a great experience with JR and his crew. They worked efficiently and carefully with our belongings. Our furniture was all protected with moving blankets and wrapped in plastic. They helped us disassemble and re-assemble items too large to fit through some of our narrow internal doorways. There was no damage to any of our stuff at all. JR and his crew were friendly and good tempered through the whole process, despite working on a very hot day, late into the evening. We had a team of three move us from Sacramento to West Sacramento. Our new home had just had the carpet replaced on the stairs and upstairs so I messaged M&M to let them know and to ask if they had runners or floor covers because we did not want any shoes on our new, white carpet. They replied that they had runners. On moving day they packed quickly. It took about three hours for them to load our 3 bedroom, 1175 sq ft home. When they arrived at the new home I asked about the carpet runner and they said it would be $80 for a plastic runner to just cover the stairs!!!! I was upset as that charge had not been mentioned previously. Had I been told that, I would have gone out and bought floor coverings myself for less. I told them I was not happy about it, and they brought in some other runners for parts of the upstairs. But when my husband went upstairs at one point, he noticed they were still walking into all the rooms with their shoes on. He asked them to take their shoes off if they were going to walk on the carpet and they refused. We asked if they had shoe covers and they did not so my husband went out and bought shoe covers for them. We were not pleased. They finished up several hours later. Our total bill was around $1400. If it had not been for the issue with the carpet and the movers disregard for our new carpet, they would have gotten 5 stars. But I feel like it was deceptive that they did not tell us they were going to charge for runners. read more
