After a recent visit to Japan, we decided that we wanted to replace all three of our toilets with the "smart" Japanese bidet toilets. This would require a power outlet near each of the toilets. Given that M&M did the original wiring of the house during its construction a few years ago, I contacted them about this project. Anthony quickly scheduled Shane to come evaluate the project, and he returned a few days later to start. He warned us that he might need to make several holes to accommodate the wiring. We also had him wire and install a Ring security camera we had purchased. It took him 1 1/2 days to complete the entire project, and he was able to complete the outlet wiring with only one small hole in the garage ceiling! He carefully replaced and reattached the section of drywall that he removed, so we only need to do some small work with putty to seal it up! He also did a great job with the camera, and we now have a great view of the driveway and front of the home. Given that it was such a big job, I was pleasantly surprised with the total cost which was basically exactly what I was quoted for the three outlets plus a small amount additional for the camera wiring and install. Wanted to hire someone from M&M to come out and install some switches for us since they wired our home, but they were very difficult to get a hold of. I kept getting told someone would call me back to schedule something, but this hasn't happened. Meanwhile I've been without light in my kitchen for four days. Will be hiring someone else. read more

Firstly, I was having some work done (a new outlet installed and a ethernet cable ran to a room) and I called M&M to come and do the work. It made sense, as they were the electricians that wired my house when it was built. I made the appointment, got a quote and thought everything was golden. When the guys came out to do the work they charged me DOUBLE from what they initially quoted me. Apparently, they "forgot" to mention that the price that they quoted was for EACH person on the job. So if two people come out, it's the price times two...ha, funny they forgot to mention that...whoops just slipped the old mind eh? After calling back and clearing that up and paying the guys, I go upstairs and look at the work after they finished and started loading up and needless to say, it wasn't anywhere near professional. The installers put a hole in my wall and messed up the drywall pretty good. The funny thing about this, is that the installer saw me looking at the wall and when I asked him "how do we fix this?" he was literally like "all you need to do is get some wood and some paint..." and proceeds to explain to me how to fix the wall he messed up and he was dead serious. No man, I'm not fixing a hole that you made and that I essentially paid you double to make. To be fair, I called back and sent pics of the job and M&M sent out their guy to come and fix my drywall. Yes that made it better, but you don't expect someone to have to come and fix the errors of the first guys that you thought were the professionals (who charged professional rates). Maybe I caught the guys on a bad day, maybe they did a rookie mistake, or maybe they just weren't paying attention. Either way, make sure you explicitly ask about the pricing before (so it doesn't skip their mind again) you agree to anything and make sure you check their work closely (sounds like common sense...) before they leave. read more

They did our pre wire with Woodside homes. Everything seems to be in order but to save money, I asked CAT5 cables ran through front side and back of the house because I'm installing POE camera system. Only complaint is that when I opened the plates, the wires weren't finished. It didn't have connectors. I would've have been more upset if I had to hire people to do it for me. It's just an inconvenience to finish it up instead of it being ready to be plugged in. read more

We just built a brand new home in Summerlin with Woodside Homes. Woodside uses M&M electric to do all of the electric in their homes. Working with M&M Electric ruined our entire home buying experience, by the time we closed on our dream home we were so upset that we weren't even excited to move in. After we moved in we continued to encounter problems, which M&M Electric would not assist with. At our initial meeting with M&M Electric we met at the model home to do a walk through and discuss what we wanted to add to the home. We had four main concerns; central vacuum, security, lights and home automation. We were told by the technician/sales person not to purchase the entire system until after we close, he said it would be more beneficial to do a pre wire now and purchase the system later. He seemed very nice so we trusted him and chose to do the prewire now and wait on the technology itself. We spent $12,000 in prewiring for the house including lights, fan prewires, camera prewires, security pre wires, home automation prewires, speaker prewires, central vac prewires and more. They sent us a long and confusing itemized list, ensuing us that everything we discussed in our meeting was on there. We moved forward excited for everything we choose. We were already planning on purchasing the speakers, cameras, wifi hot spots, security system and central vac from M&M Electric. Through the home building process we asked several times about the central vac kick plate, missing plugs and security system. We were assured that everything we discussed would be there. As the house was almost finished we brought up these points again, since they were discussed in detail during our meeting with the electrician and were assured they would be there. However the central vac kick plate was never put in, plugs were missing and the security system wires were not put through any of the windows. They added the plug, told us the wires were in the wall and they would not pull them through, and that the kick plate was never included in our package. This was very upsetting to us because we spoke in detail for 15 minutes about how the kick plate in the kitchen was the most important part of the entire central vacuum system to us, and at this point it would need major construction to add. They told us they did not remember, did not write it down and would not do anything about it. This was really upsetting because we were planning on using them for the system, a system they just made useless to us by not including a key function we really wanted. They said we did not pay for it, but we were more than willing to pay for it and were told it was included. The security system was a whole new nightmare. Since we are so unhappy with M&M we decided to do our security system through ADT. When the technician arrived he could not find the wires for most of the windows and it was an extremely lengthy and messy project to get the wires out of the wall. The electric company had assured me that the wires were easily accessible and the security company would have dealt with this before. They lied on both accounts. After working on it for 4 hours, I called the contractor and asked him to send over an M&M Electric Low Voltage Electrician to pull the wires from the wall for us so we could actually get this done. The electrician came, listen to the issues, complained about the ADT technician and blamed everyone in the room for the issue rather than taking any responsibility. He then fixed one of the wires by cutting a giant hole in our wall, then disappeared before addressing any of the other wires, damaged wires or other issues. I have no idea where he went or if he thought we were done. It was very clear he had no interest in helping us with the issues. My husband and ADT had to work very hard to drill and pull wires through the wall to make the system work. And now my brand new beautiful home needs to be patched, spackled, painting and cleaned. But that isn't the end of the issues; the location of our electrical box is placed directly next to an outlet, too close for the security box to be fit into the space without being cut apart. ADT said they had not dealt with this issue. Upon further investigation we discovered we would have the same problem installing our Wifi hot spots because they are placed too close to air vents. We have not done anything with our home automation system yet, but I can't wait to see how that works out. I do not recommend this company; they ruined my entire home experience and refused to take any responsibility. read more

AMAZING electrical company! I have lived in Las Vegas for more than 30 years and I have to say that there is not another electrical company in town that I would trust with my electrical needs. And before I go on...let me be clear---I am not related to anyone over at M&M and had not met any of their employees prior to the building of my Woodside home. This is an amazing family-owned and operated company! I purchased a new home with Woodside Homes in Las Vegas last year and was under contract to only use their electrical company for the wiring and installation of my home. While I initially hated being told which company I "had to hire," I am SO THANKFUL that M&M contracted with Woodside because I might not have ever used them -and they are FANTASTIC! I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about them. From Camron and David on the front end of things to Anthony and Jonathan for the hands-on stuff, I was thoroughly impressed. Their prices are reasonable and they are willing to work with their clients to get the tasks completed. Even when I had small electrical issues pop up during the building of the home (I moved in at the end of February of this year), I only had to make one quick phone call and M&M was out there to assist. Camron was in charge of our electrical package and getting the diagrams created. He sat down with me on multiple occasions to make sure that he understood exactly what I wanted. He never made me feel rushed or that my sometimes stupid questions were wasting his time. My mom even came with me for a couple of our meetings and she was so impressed with their company that she and my dad hired them to do some electrical work at their house! I can attest that my parents (who have lived in Las Vegas since the 1970s) are extremely happy clients as well! I am not writing this review having only ordered a handful of electrical outlets from M&M (although I am confident they would have done a terrific job with even a small package like that!). My electrical package was quite extensive so I was able to see the quality of their work throughout the time they spent in my house. I had recessed cans in every single bedroom, a structured wiring system, ceiling fan pre-wires in every room, an alarm system wired and installed, surround sound wiring throughout the house, extra lights in the common areas including the stairs and the closets, pool pre-wiring, wireless access points, etc. etc. etc. I was more than pleased with EVERYTHING! I saw one particular review on this website and I have to say that I was quite shocked by it. My experience with M&M was completely, 100% different than what was described by the reviewer. Perhaps there is more to the story than what was described...I have no idea...but the experience that my entire family has had with M&M has been a positive one--from beginning to end. M&M Electric really demonstrates what a family-owned company is all about. I have no complaints whatsoever. Their willingness to work with customers is unmatched. If I so much as need an extra outlet installed somewhere in my home or need to purchase a speaker or a light bulb, I will be contacting M&M first! :) I PROMISE that you will not regret hiring this company! They wired my house originally. After we moved-in we had them install additional lights on our balcony, over the pool table (which was complicated by airducts), and a fan. They were helpful and explained what they did and why. I will definitely use them in the future. read more
