My AC wasn't working properly. Both Honda & another auto shop were wanting to charge me for inspections i didn't need and just quoting me high. ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! Look, I want to gush for a minute because finding a kind and honest mechanic is so rare. My kid got their first car and it was leaking oil a TON. The previous owners said they had taken it somewhere and there was a crack in the engine. We took it to another place and they said the entire oil pan needed to be replaced. We took it to John at M&M and they proved that it was just the oil plug. While others wanted to charge 1000s, John gave my kid a new oil plug and oil change for only $50. On top of that, he cleaned a spot in the garage, drove the car for a bit, and parked it over the weekend in the cleaned spot just to prove that it was fixed. Absolutely incredible. I've been taking my car here since 2016 after being referred here by a friend. They have never let me down. I once went to Brake Plus because I had a coupon for a $20 oil change and it turned into a $500 repair. I said: never again. John and the crew at M and M Automotive are very honest and reasonable. I never ever have to worry when they're working on my car. Whenever I've ended up going somewhere else--it's been awful. But at M and M, it's always been a great experience. They were nice enough to leave me some notes on my receipt for potential fixes I may want to make in the future. Which I appreciate. I realize my brake pads are going and they caught that too. 08/2019 My radiator or transmission (? I don't remember) busted while I was coming home from Walmart. Got it towed to M and M. Signed up for some credit of some place they recommended and accept. Got my repair done and paid off the credit no prob. My car also needed to pass emissions testing so I could renew my registration. They got the emissions done for me after they did the repair for me!!! That was really nice of them imo. I wasn't expecting that either. I got referred to John by another reputable auto repair shop, and John has been GREAT. I've taken several of our vehicles to John's shop over the last year and a half or so. John helped me troubleshoot a very complex ABS issue, ultimately saving me $1,500+ by resolving the problem (that the new ABS would not have solved). John's pricing is excellent, in my opinion. I take Uber to and from John's shop, I live about 15-20 minutes away - honesty, reliability, fair pricing are all important to me and I don't mind spending a few bucks getting to and from this place. read more

I have to find a ride to see Gary and John at my favorite mechanic but it's very worth it. I have s 99 souped-up VW Jetta and run the best straight synthetic oil I can find and provide a high quality German oil filter and not only does he do a great job removing my custom aluminum skid plate but he does about a 30 point inspection check and this time found a cracked right CV boot and fixed it for Jess than half of that the VW dealer ( or my old mechanic) would charge. Had the AC go out on my Lincoln MKX on a Saturday night and called around and couldn't find a place to have it fixed. M&M was able to get it in the next day! Done in a couple of hours and the staff was great with explaining what they repaired and even followed up with a phone call a couple of weeks later to make sure there wasn't any problems. I needed an oil change - irritated by ads for $19.99 that had in small print 'disposal fee' and 'shop fee' (???) i liked that M&M gave me the total price, all inclusive up front. Good clean shop, feels like all that work there know what they're doing.. only negative thing is location - real sketchy area of grimy light industrial, and M&M's shop sets back far from the street enough that I passed it a few times. Otherwise - great shop that i'll be coming back to soon for preventive work! --added 2/17/16 M&M has repaired my AC, changed timing belt, tuned up, etc. and has given my PT Cruiser a second life! I think I found M&M in 2010 and I went there because I read a review from a lady whom said she "really trusted" these guys, well I went and 7 years later I live 5 hours away and I still go all the way to M&M (even for oil changes) because I KNOW John the owner and Gary and Matthew (A + certified techs) will not rush things and do thorough work. Anyway, let me tell you how fabulous these guys are, and I am not easily impressed at all. I came from one of the larger chains and had been being overcharged for years, which i knew, but sometimes the devil you know...and yada, yada, if you know the saying. I almost didn't come here due to not being open on weekends. Don't care. All of our cars go here now. I live real close, but my mom brings her car from 107th ave and Camelback now. They stand by their work, it is done right the first time, and the prices are amazing, and let me tell you, i've been to a slew of mechanics. The well known shop i was going to, i had to keep taking the cars back because the repairs weren't done right, and they were failing to diagnose things. I had had it! My sister swore by their work but I was skeptical. But we brought in her car because of a check engine light and he reset it, explained that it was a slight fuel vapor leak, probably the gas cap and sent her on her way for no charge. I was referred to M & M by a friend who had been going here for years and I can't say enough good things. As an automotive novice, I was frantic when my car started having issues and had no idea where to go for honest, quality and reasonably priced work. John and his team were so courteous and professional about getting my problem solved and had my car in and out in a matter of hours, running perfectly. Just fair and honest work completed in timely and convenient manner. After being so incredibly pleased with M & M and the work they did on my vehicle, my boyfriend took his car in for an alignment where they actually diagnosed the problem was in his tires themselves, not the alignment. They rotated his tires, put on his spare and invited him to come back if that didn't solve the problem and they didn't charge him A DIME.
