Wife went in for a routine oil change, and they stripped the oil pan threads then blamed it on normal wear and tear. Quoted $800 to replace the oil pan after they stripped the threads. Wife brought the car home, and i got the car up and the plug is clearly rounded and chewed up. Someone took vise-grips to it. Before you blame it on the previous shop, Joe's performed the last three oil changes on this car. Wont be back. read more

first pulled up to Joes Auto in a corvette. Walked in to meet Mark the manager. Explained my situation that I had a 2009 Ford fusion and something was wrong with the clutch or the sleeve something? Gave me his his guys towing number. I used his tow guy to move it from literally a parking lot across the street into his driveway for 100 bucks. Then got a phone call that the repairs would be over $2500 as it was the whole clutch and he would have to remove the transmission etc.. to even get to it. My husband said the car isn't worth enough to fix. This is my son's car who also is a mechanic, can fix anything just didn't have the equipment to do it. My son then went to Joes/Marks shop. Started car played around with it in Joe's back parking lot called me and said mom I know you really thought Mark was a nice guy, but he's completely taken advantage of you. It's not the whole clutch, It's just a slave cylinder. Had the car towed from Joe's back to my sons house. My son spent $87 on the part and $20 on the fluid that needed to go in and it's up and running great. I really thought this guy was nice as he seemed to be very trustworthy (did look at the floor quite a bit tho) but he almost had my over $2500 and would have been completely fine doing that to me. Before he released the car, I had to pay $94.50 for the diagnosis and to close out the work order?? Oh my God for anybody that does not know parts labor and mechanics as a whole get a second opinion watch out for this guy. And my husbands an Atty lol wouldn't be worth the fee to file to get any money back. Just don't ever take Joe's/Marks auto Opinion as your first one. read more

Terrible. Took my VW GTI in for a radiator replacement and ended up not having a car for 3 months. They "misdiagnosed" my car and had to replace my motor. Terrible communication. They would tell me it would be done one day then i would show up with an uber just for them to tell me it will be done the following week. Week after week. Waste of money and waste of time. I had to end up taking my car to the dealership to repair all the damage caused by Joe's Auto. I called them after explaining to them how bad the damage my car, they did not want to be responsible for their poor service and lack of experienced mechanics... As a former employee of this crooked father and son duo I had seen enough in a short period of time to not want to be a part of this so called company. From parts that customers were charged for and never were installed on vehicles, later to be all found in the back room on a shelf which were later sold again, to padding estimates by upping the labor time by saying components have to come out of the way in order to access another. Store manager at the west union hills location I personally will nesses several times will call the dealer for a part, get the OEM part number and dealer list price only to to turn around and order the cheapest Autozone or Oreillys part and install that. Customers are thinking their paying for a OEM and it's even typed out on the repair order as a OEM. All of the Joes Auto repair facilities purchase their parts from Autozone or Oreillys for dirt cheap and marked up at least 150%, I've seen many parts marked up 300%. The list goes on and on unfortunately for the public which isn't aware. At the end of the day if you don't mind getting scammed and ripped off then go to any Joes auto repair in Arizona, they can definitely assist you with this. read more
