M&J are amazing! I've used them three times this year so far--for steam cleaning my couch, my hallway carpet (twice), and a bedroom carpet. They're always quick to respond, great with communication and scheduling, and incredibly friendly. Their work is thorough, and they're happy to provide helpful suggestions. They've even been able to remove some really tough stains that I didn't think would come out! I've compared their prices with other companies around San Francisco, and they're very reasonable. I'm so thankful for the great work they do and will definitely be using them again soon. Highly recommend M&J! read more

I called last night because of an emergency... and the son came this morning at 9 and was done by 10... He was very sweet and did a really good job getting most the mess out in all the places that got gross....but still some stains and extremely wet carpet ! I let them know. There were a couple spots and they told me let it completely dry, and if it was a problem, they completely stand behind their work they would take care of it. I called them today to let them know. I do have two spots that are still noticeable and they tell me in order for them to come out and clean the spots. I have to pay $125 which is half of what I paid them to come to begin with so they don't stand behind their work cause now they want me to double pay them to come do the two spots. I call that a little shady and they don't stand behind their work, shame on you. I have 3 dogs, never asked for a mattress to be cleaned... only the front of the chair... I also knew that the spots affected would be more wet than the rest of the carpet and when Jordan called me back, I was told half of what I paid. I paid 250 and half of that is 125 one spot he did in my bedroom. I didn't even see before and after he did it, it's surfaced. read more

Easy to communicate with, quick, and very efficient. I have a very narrow spiral staircase up to my second floor and they were able to handle it with no problem using a long hose. My hunting cat left us some nasty surprises on the carpet, and there was also a significant amount of rat poop which I was hesitant to clean myself because bleach would stain the carpet, and they took care of it all! See before/after photos for the stains they removed. The price was quite reasonable. One thing to note is that they did raise the price by about $50 compared to the initial quote when they arrived, which I found still to be very reasonable given the state of my carpet, but worth keeping in mind when you get an estimate. They also did not initially clean the area under a small couch, which other cleaners have cleaned in the past (it's quite a light couch, you can push it to the side easily). When I called about it though they came back right away the next day to get that area. Overall great service and value, just make sure to double check ahead of time if you need cleaning under furniture and keep in mind the quote is just an estimate! read more

I had such a great experience with this carpet cleaning service! They arrived early, were very punctual, and got the job done quickly without sacrificing the quality of the work. My carpets look AMAZING and honestly look brand new again! I also really appreciated that they took the time to give me some helpful tips on how to keep my carpet clean in case my dog has another accident. It's those little extra touches that really stood out to me. They were professional, efficient, and did a great job from start to finish. I'm very happy with the results and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have their carpets cleaned. read more

Technicians arrived on time and did an awesome job on a crummy carpet. Very please with the service and highly recommend.

Father and son team. They arrived the day after I posted the request promptly at the time they said they would. They did a great job and I would definitely hire them again and I'm going to. I really like their service and attitude. read more

They were quick to respond and available on the weekends. Reasonably priced and did a wonderful job. I highly recommend M & J any day.

Soledad and Miguel were great communicators and arrived promptly. They identified the spots with stains and gave me a realistic idea of the end result. They were quick and efficient, I would definitely hire them again! read more

They came late, past the scheduled time but were quick & effective. They removed all the stains & smell. They were done in 30 mins. I would recommend and hire for future projects. read more

Needed a same day appointment and they were able to accommodate it. I highly recommend them.

Could not be happier! Miguel, Soledad AND MIA! are amazing. I sent a message asking for a quote and Soledad responded immediately. Quote was fair and inexpensive compared to others. We spoke on the phone and scheduled for my house cleaning which consisted of three rooms. They arrived on time for the appointment and came inside first to see how we were going to set up. This was the first time having my carpets professionally cleaned as I have a home cleaner that I usually clean them myself. Since their cleaning unit is out of their van, we needed to figure out the logistics since I'm on the 2nd floor of a condo building. (I did speak to Soledad about this over the phone in preparation.) We were able to hook up the water line to my water source near my washing machine. From arrival to finish was only about an hour! My carpets look great and smell good too! I will definitely be using them again! read more

I had a great experience with M&J Cleaners. They responded to my online inquiry almost immediately and were able to schedule me for the very next day. My husband met them at the house, but he didn't point out a few areas that I had been especially concerned about. When I messaged them afterward, they responded right away without any hesitation and came back the very next day to take care of those areas. I really appreciated how responsive and professional they were, and their work was excellent. Their pricing was very fair as well. It's rare to find a company that stands behind their work and is so committed to making sure the customer is happy. I would definitely use M&J Cleaners again and highly recommend them! read more

Very fast to respond and help you with your service options. Great customer care and support. They try to bend over backwards and help even with scheduling conflicts- they somehow try and make it work. Great folks. read more

In my experience, this company was responsive, efficient, and does great work. I inquired via Yelp for a cleaning service for the next day or two, and they responded pretty quickly. At first, they couldn't come at a time that was ideal for me, but after a quick phone call, they agreed to come at the time I needed. They arrived early, answered all of our questions, quickly set up, and did a wonderful job of cleaning our old, patchy, pet-stained carpet. It was a smooth and easy process. I would definitely recommend and use their services again. read more

M & J Carpet Cleaning - The carpet looks much better after the cleaning. - Carpet Cleaning Near Me

Two guys came to clean my sofa/ottoman and rug. They were very professional and timely. They gave me a quote ahead of time and communicated any potential concerns about stains and types of fabrics beforehand. We will definitely have them back for future cleaning needs. read more

Really bad experience with this company. I have a two bed apartment and they spent an hour cleaning. It initially looked ok but as it dried the stains started coming back. Dabbed at the stains with a paper towel and was able to pull up lots of dirt on multiple spots. Additionally they didn't extract almost any water and my apartment is still damp after two days. I did exactly what they said and it didn't work in terms of drying it. Also in many areas it feels as if there is still soap in the carpet as it is very tacky. I reached out explaining what happened and they refused to come back and fix it. They only spent 1hr in my apartment and charged me $400. They did not tell me any potential risks of cleaning in my apartment. I have hired steam cleaners before and have never had this issue, additionally if I had issues with persistent stains they had come back with no additional charges. Overall, they did the absolute bare minimum and I would not recommend them. read more

M & J Carpet Cleaning - This is me dabbing my carpet after they left and pulling up stains. - Carpet Cleaning Near Me

The M&J team arrived early and were efficient and friendly. The hose from the street to the carpet was long enough - that had been a concern. It took over 24 hours to dry which was ok, but I was hoping it would have been quicker. Now I know for next time. read more

Excellent; both the service and product! Product being the final result. Thanks guys! read more

Extremely unprofessional and frustrating experience. My appointment was canceled before the technician even arrived, with the explanation that there was "no parking." However, I had clearly communicated in advance that the garage has a height restriction, but guest parking is available, and there is also street parking directly in front of the building that can accommodate a cleaning truck. Despite being provided with these details ahead of time, they still refused to proceed with the service. This points to poor communication and a lack of willingness to follow through on scheduled appointments. At no point during booking was I informed that parking limitations would prevent service. Canceling last-minute -- even after confirming viable parking options -- shows a lack of professionalism and respect for the customer's time. I had already arranged my schedule around this appointment, so this was a complete waste of time. I would not recommend this company based on reliability and communication. I expect a clear explanation and an appropriate resolution for this inconvenience. read more

I can't thank M&J enough. We had a disaster at our house and needed a cleaning STAT. They came out quickly and cleaned 5 rooms very well. Our carpet smelled great and the stains are gone. Thanks again! read more

Friendly good people. On time. Reasonable rates. They were open to large and small cleaning requests.

They were excellent! Excellent! Arrived on time and did a thorough job. I will absolutely call on them again to steam cleaned my sofas!!

I had them clean my sofas and my living room carpet and they were really professional. I noticed a huge difference in my sofas and the living room carpet. They do an excellent job and I will definitely hire them again. A great company and their prices we're really acceptable. Thank you so much. You guys did a great job. read more

I don't enjoy leaving a bad review, but I will do it to encourage honesty and accountability. I had a sofa cleaned and they ripped a hole in it. I have before and after pictures. They refuse to claim fault or offer any reimbursement. Even if the cleaners were not aware, there's a picture before and after. I don't really think any discussion is needed. I'd take your business elsewhere. read more

Communication was fine but then there was a last minute price adjustment which did not feel warranted.

Overall, great service. The communication is professional and prompt. However, to echo some of the prior comments, they do add on costs to the initial quote. They do let you know about these costs ahead of time (one was following the initial quote and the other was on the day of service). While their initial quote is one of the lower if not lowest of Bay Area local options, the final price ends up being similar if not higher than some others, so would recommend keeping this in mind as you compare quotes. For example, if you live in an apartment complex that does not have parking in close proximity to your unit, as of mid 2023, there is an additional $30 charge for use of a portable device. There was also an extra $30 charge for use of pet cleaning products. read more

Do not hire this company!!! Extremely unprofessional. They booked our cleaning appointment for 9am on a Monday and cancelled at 11pm the Sunday before, leaving us no time to make other arrangements. Just "so sorry" and left us completely hanging. Avoid. read more

I used this company a week ago to clean my large area rug. They came out, set up, sprayed the rug, did a pass with the vacuum, and was done in about 10-15 minutes. They told me to run my ceiling fans and leave my door open and the rug should be dry by the next morning. Unfortunately, it was not dry and began to mildew. The smell permiated my entire home. I reached back out and they came back to do a "light" cleaning of the front and back of the rug. This time I was told it needed to hang on my fence outside overnight. Well, I brought it in this morning and left to run a few errands. Came back and that musty, mildew smell is back throughout my house. I just rolled up the rug and threw it on my porch. It's ruined and now I have to buy a new one. I'm really disappointed that this is the outcome but now I know to not use another service again. Gave two stars as they did come back out. read more

Great service. Quick to get appointment and quick to do the job. Helpful in scheduling.

They did an excellent job making our rug look SO much better! very thankful and would gladly recommend. Will call them again.

I reached out to M&J after a strong nesting urge to clean my couch hit me yesterday. As my baby is due later this week, I wanted to make sure that my couch, where we will likely spend most of our time home, is as clean as possible and free from pet hair and other yucky stuff. Miguel and his son came by first thing in the morning and were in and out in an hour. Couch looks clean and they were very kind and communicative. The price was very reasonable and I'll definitely reach out in the future for another cleaning. Thank you! read more

You spend a lot of time in your bed - if not, prioritize getting better acquainted - but when you start feeling gross about the sheets, or the cover, you simply wash it. The couch probably comes in second in terms of Most-Utilized-Piece-Of-Furniture but sadly it's not easy to clean thoroughly. Spot clean? Sure. Febreze to conceal the smell? Yeah. But probably disinfect and scrub down? Well, that requires an expert(s). This is where M&J comes in! I received a super fast response to my quote request ($99 for couch cleaning + $30 fee for the portable equipment) and a same day availability! They were $50 cheaper than other service providers. In the end, I'm super happy. They showed up on time, did the job within 30 minutes or so, left no mess behind, and were courteous and transparent throughout the process (some stains are like scars, they're here to stay). Solid company! read more

My pup got sick on a Saturday night, and unfortunately my area rug needed immediate attention and cleaning to mitigate staining and odor. M & J Carpet Cleaning responded with a quote immediately and sent a team over first thing Sunday morning. Miguel and his son consulted on everything, including how far I was willing to go to fully restore the rug. Photo below shows the excellence of their work, and further, that they went so far as to remove the rug for cleaning and hang it outside for drying. Highly recommend this business and will definitely return should I need service again! read more
