I've used their services four times now. They do an excellent job, even with spots I didn't expect would come out. I don't like cleaning agents so they've even done it with plain water for me in the past. Updated to add they are reimbursing me for the rug. We used them for the third time last week. They cleaned a jute rug by accident and an old red wine stain that was not visible is now on the surface. I asked them to come back to fix it and that's when I was told they cleaned it by accident. They tried a second time- the carpet became misshapen and when I contacted them to ask how we can resolve it they just told me it was permanent damage and there is nothing that can be done. I asked if I should file an insurance claim since they are insured but haven't heard back at the very least I would expect a refund for the cost of cleaning that carpet.

Pictures don't do it justice. The carpet has seen a lot of foot traffic & dogs & dinner parties... and it looks AMAZING now.

They ruined my sofa. Please do not hire this business for upholstery cleaning. They are carpet cleaners. Because I read one review for cleaning fine upholstery in the past, I decided to hire them to clean my large Gold+Williams velvet sofa, two velvet chairs, 1 loveseat, and 1 vanity chair. When I spoke with Carlos, he assured me they had experience with fine upholstery like mine. Reina called me the day before, asking for more money because it was an over an hour trip, which I declined since it was a 30-minute trip and her son knew the address in advance. I should have cancelled the service right then. They ruined my fine sofa; it was left with vertical stripes and fabric scratches, damage from the machine they used. When I called her about it, she said the marks would go away if I passed a damp towel on them, which I did, and nothing happened. Then she said that if we sat on it, the lines would go away. I asked if they had used metal blades on my sofa, and she said yes, that it was a professional machine. Finally, she offered to take care of the problem if I paid her an extra $200, which I declined. She also told me they couldn't remove a "mark" from the loveseat (it was dry food, I removed it after they left). The vanity chair, stained with makeup, was left as dirty as it was found. She said they couldn't clean it. I paid $400 for the service, a waste of money. I give them 2 stars for the carpet cleaning, which they do well. They cleaned the carpet in the stair-hallway, and that job was done very well. read more

Kind people and great service, amazing how fast they were able to schedule and very quick communication. My review is based on not getting what we intended out of the job...which was to remove the pee odor from our rug. I was encouraged after what seemed like a thorough clean from their industrial machine, but unfortunately as the rug dried the smell is still there. UPDATE: Updating this after they were kind enough to reach out immediately upon seeing my review. They came back and recleaned the rug free of charge. The smell remains unfortunately though, so I'm assuming it was a tough stain and an older rug. read more

I called them for scheduling availability on a Thursday and they were at my home performing a detailed service on Saturday morning! When I called I spoke to Reyna who is also the actual person that came out along with another crew member. She quoted me on the spot for the work described and that's how much it was at the end - very straightforward and fair pricing. I had been doing the same type of service with another national company and decided to switch and give a smaller business a try - very glad I did. The service was great, they showed up on time, did a DETAILED job all while protecting the floors while they did the work. I had them do my bathroom tile (floors and walls) and it was night/day. The previous company didn't have the same results. They also cleaned my sofa and ottoman and they did all the heavy lifting to move it in and back into place. The dry time was also quicker than others and still looked, felt, and smelled just as clean. I recommend giving them a call and supporting this small local family owned and operated business! read more

To be honest, I was a little put off by the price of the quote. I'm used to Groupon prices. However, I am telling you it was worth what I paid. It was also nice to not be sold a bunch of "extras." The guys who came out were very nice, and even came back to replace the window screen when they saw I was struggling with it. I will definitely use them again and recommend them. read more

A seamless and satisfactory experience! Arrived, had his shoe booties prepared (which I always super appreciate!), and got straight to it! Took less than two hours (one-man-job) to get our white couch looking brand new again! I love the fact that our pillows / cushions are also completely fluffed up and look brand new from that perspective! Friendly to boot! Quick payment transaction and Venmo for tip at the end. This is my second time using Oscar's. They are very professional, on time, got the job done quickly and, honestly, miraculously! I really didn't think the carpet was cleanable - I thought I was going to have to replace it but figured I'd at least try to have it cleaned. They were honest about the spots (paint) that they didn't think they could get out but the rest was really done well! Plus they were able to clean a rug and some chairs also. Will definitely use them again!! read more

Called on a Saturday, came on the same day. Other than showing up 1 hour early (fortunately I was able to get home), they were polite, friendly and professional. So this type of deep cleaning is way better than previous steam cleaning I've had done. This actually removed all the stains and even what I thought was wear on carpets and effectively they look brand new now. It wasn't cheap but they took their time and did a thorough job and I'll be hiring them again. read more

My original quote was for $280 and then they texted that the price was going to be $440?? They did tell this beforehand and asked my approval. This was surprising. Extremely impressed with Oscar's Carpet Cleaning service! They came out within 48 hours. We have two young kids who have not been kind to our couches and carpet. I was certain that some of my carpet was beyond hope, they managed to remove 100% of the spots. Their work on my couches was equally good, and the couches look and smell fresh now. [UPDATE] Unfortunately the smell has not been removed from any of my carpets. The carpets look nice, but since I hired them to get rid of the smell, I am a little disappointed, especially given the $200 price. I don't know if maybe it is impossible to remove the smell, so maybe there was nothing they could have done. I am going to leave the 5 stars since they clearly did the best they could, were very friendly, and super responsive, and I don't know if they could have fixed the smell. ---------------- [INITIAL] Super friendly, came within 30 minutes of me calling, did a beautiful job on my carpet. Were very concerned that my dogs were happy and were out of the way of the shampoo (even though it is non-toxic don't want to make them sneeze). I called them because I could no longer stand the smell of puppy urine (I got a new puppy and he was not potty trained), and I realized I couldn't fight it myself anymore with Rug Doctor. I needed a major clean. Unfortunately, there are still areas of the rug that have a urine smell when I put my face right up to it, but it's possible that maybe I can't expect it to go away entirely. Room smells great. As long as I don't smell urine when I'm not putting my head straight to the floor, I'll consider it a success. I just don't want it to have any smell in my day to day living (when I don't normally have my nose to the floor). Anyway, they were absolutely lovely, and extremely fast too. I think it took them 30 minutes to do the whole job--2 rooms. If I don't update this review again, it means that the smell went away and everything was perfect. read more

Another great experience with Oscar's. This is my 3rd time using them, and they are honestly miracle workers. I typically wore shoes in the house before, but after seeing the before and after results, I've converted to a shoes-off household. It took about an hour and a half to clean my living room and hallway/entryway and the guy who came was totally independent and did his thing. I've been using Oscar's Carpet Cleaning for 3 years now and I can honestly say that they are the best in San Francisco. Why you ask? Well...I have a carpet. I have a dog. They come over every three months and do my whole apartment efficiently with care to get all the "hot spots". And fast too! It dries quickly. I always have full confidence in Oscar's carpet cleaning. So we had setup a cleaning around 10 days hence. On the day of the service 4 team members arrived for cleaning within the one hour window that was described. Unfortunately, they were wholly unprepared. The team only brought microfiber towels and a vacuum. They did not even bring a garbage bag. They picked up a half filled garbage bag and asked to use it and said they can just reuse it the whole day as they dumped all the debris into the dumpster we had setup outside. This should have been an obvious red flag! Then even though I had spent many emails and phone calls describing the scope of the work to the back office, none of the notes were captured and the team asked me for non-stop instructions and clarifications for 2 hours at the beginning of the day until I have to leave. Quality. Extremely Dissatisfy! I normally paid my normal cleaning team $200 for a team of 3 to clean a 2500sqft house. It takes them 1.5 hours (1.5*3 =4.5 man hours) They get all the bathrooms, kitchen and floors sparkling clean and dustless. So for 20 man hours, I had expected at minimal the same cleanliness and beyond since they charged me a little south of 25 hours. Nope! PCS team for the very costly 25 hours accomplished 1. Removing some garbage, 2. Removing some plastic off the windows, 3. Rough cleaning of some bathrooms, 4. Vacuum up some dust off the protective floor covering, and 5. Dusted the two kitchen sinks. I am extremely disappointed as I distinctly expected the walls to be dusted, floors to be cleaned and floor polish to be applied, and none of it was done. Communication. As I stated, the initial communications were good when they wanted to make a sale. After their extremely unprofessional job, PCS became extremely curt and uncommunicative. I had reached to them to give the feedback. They had sent another team of 2 for 4 hours to do what they can, but they were only able to clean one room at that time. Then they tried to blame us for dirtying the place the cleaned. It's just not true since they didn't remove the construction paper protecting the hardwood floors. How could they have possibly mop the floors.

We were ready to hire a cleaning crew so I could unpack some things. After some back and forth via Yelp message they seemed to fit the bill. We booked them for a Saturday with a window between 1-2pm. The day of, the crew was nowhere to be found at 2pm. I called at 2:11pm to see if someone was going to be sent. The previous crew (a team of 2) had an emergency so they sent over a cleaning crew of 3 closer to 2:30pm which we were already frustrated about since they were late. I was also not informed the crew was running late and had to call to get an update. The crew was Spanish-speaking and I was able to get by with my limited Spanish. Towards 4pm the crew mentioned that they were told they were only supposed to be there 2 hours so I had to called PCCP to let them know the job was nowhere done. There was a lot of weird back and forth with the crew and no one seemed to know what was going on honestly. I had asked for a full construction post clean so I found it a little odd that the crew thought they were done after 2 hours. They ended up leaving around 5:30pm and it was good but not excellent. We actually had to jump in and help them at times to make sure the job was done in time since they seemed in a rush. After further inspection it looks like they missed the inside of a lot of our cabinets which still had some cement dust in it. They got MOST things which was great but if the homeowner has to jump in and help clean that's a problem. I received the invoice of Thursday the following week with a few weird discrepancies: - the start time said 2:00pm and I know for a fact the crew came closer to 2:30. I had a signature there for the start time but looking back I don't remember if I saw a time (was this written in after the fact? the lady didn't explain to me what I was signing and there was a language barrier) and I was so flustered they came late so I just signed it so they could start - the end time had my signature on it but both my partner and I remember saying out loud when the crew left -- "were we supposed to sign something?" So not sure if the crew forgot to ask me for a signature and maybe forged it............ It was an overall weird and frustrating experience. The crew was very kind but it would help if they could get by with some English, as I was not informed of what I would be signing when the crew got there. It was also hard to let them know they either missed spots or we'd like our "walls cleaned" (the cleaner seemed surprised when we had to remind him to please dust down the walls since it was post construction). Willing to give another chance and maybe it was just a bad day for everyone overall but you need to pay attention when hiring this company.

Love them! I hadn't been able to really clean my home for almost 7 weeks due to an injury, so it was really ready for a cleaning. What a great team they are. Let me count the ways: 1) Flexible & punctual: I called them last Thursday--- not expecting that they'd be able to work me in so soon. They came the following Saturday morning right when they said they would. 2) Pleasant & kind: They're just really chill and friendly. 3) Thorough & fast! Did I say THOROUGH?!? I don't have a big place (an in-law), but the dust build-up was really getting to me. They did a great job dusting and vacuuming. And not one of those dusting jobs whereby you're not completely sure if the cleaners REALLY dusted, so you start checking all the surfaces and then you're aghast at what you find. No, Oscar and Reyna really dust all the surfaces. And my bathtub---including the tiles---are white and sparkly. Reyna put the scrub down for REAL! 4) If you notice that they miss something or its not to your liking, they'll return and clean or redo it: They had overlooked the baseboards in some areas of my apartment. So when I called and told them about this, they said they'd come the same day and take care of it. No questions asked. 5) Green products: Your place won't smell like a chemical factory afterwards. 6) And of course their good rates. You might pay a little more than some of the other outfits, but it's worth it and not unreasonable. They also shampoo furniture and carpets...which I don't need right now. But if I ever do, I will use their service. And yes, they also go to the East Bay for cleaning jobs. read more

I found Oscar and Reyna Cleaning Service on Yelp and for that reason, I feel compelled to write a review because I could not have been more frustrated or disappointed with their carpet cleaning service. Oscar picks up the telephone, which is good. What isn't good is that he says "yes" when he apparently doesn't understand what you are saying. I thought everything was set but when the day arrived for the cleaning, he called several times asking me where he should clean the carpets. I had arranged for access to the space but he then refused to do the cleaning until I went to the property myself. This went back and forth several times and I lost time and patience. They don't speak very good English and I don't speak Spanish, which is a problem, if we are not on the same page as to what is to be done, etc. And when I returned to check the cleaning job, not only had the carpet in a small area not been cleaned at all, the rest of the carpet did not look very clean either. He says he steam cleans but I don't think he does steam cleaning. I had people moving into the property and they asked if the carpets had been cleaned (as that is what we agreed to). I don't know how this company is getting so many 5 star ratings. Poor service all around. When I called to let them know the carpet in the small room had not been cleaned, it appears that Oscar hung up on me. I I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE FOR CARPET CLEANING NOR WOULD I EVER USE THEM AGAIN! read more

Oscar's carpet and cleaning is a great service and value and the dynamo duo of husband and wife team Oscar and Reyna is as Mom and Pop as it gets. I love to support the underdog small businesses, especially when the quality and value is there. I have used Oscar's for a few years now at my home and have recommended them to several friends and businesses with nothing but praises for their professional service and quality work. From general cleaning of our home, which is a 3 story monster, to doing steam/carpet cleaning on carpets & upholstery at my office and for my friends shop, I have nothing but praises.
