YES.. that's correct a Post Office and Marissa is very helpful & friendly. All the staff here is well disposed, personable and eager to help. In the era of big box, mega hardware stores it's nice to find a neighborhood version where you can probably get 90% of what you need without the hassle of (probably) navigating a freeway exit, large road, difficult exit, and long parking lot walk. This Ace H/W store is conveniently located near the busy Bay Area Blvd. and Space Center Blvd. intersection, but far enough off it's not a major inconvenience to get in and out. It's a manageable store with all your needs for sure. Within walking distance of my work and located near many other frequently frequented establishments (restaurants, pharmacy, pet store, auto parts place, running store, pool store, haircuts, lots) it's a great place to squeeze in what you want for a quick pick up for convenience without the hassle of a bigger store. As with most hardware stores, great customer service. You'll likely be greeted as you come in the door and there are plenty of staff walking the aisles to help if you need attention. There's also a Post Office here, pretty much full service (although don't expect more than one attendant). Overall, this is your convenience hardware store for those one-sy, two-sy items you need while you are out and about. read more

Was my GO TO Z store. Ever since the reset the store has declined. Out of stock on key items, but stick boxes in the isle. Drill bits for $22? requires an unlock. Same with cordless drills. We're not in San Francisco. Price for the same drill I purchased 6 mos ago for 79 was 129 today. Went across the lake to Kilgore's and the drill was 79 and I could actually purchase the drill, but set al without an assist. M&D relegated to nuts and bolts... read more

I've had nothing but great experiences at this Ace. While it may not be as massive and overwhelming as the big box stores, I literally get asked as soon as I walk through the door if I need any help, the people always know where to find the stuff I need, and are friendly, and patient. I mean its honestly refreshing how helpful the staff are at this store compared to others where you have to beg someone sprinting from one place to another for help. The inventory and selection have been exactly what I need, and overall its just a super pleasant experience for someone like me who is somewhat handy but honestly needs some guidance with most new projects. read more

This is a friendly Ace hardware with basically anything you could need to be a home warrior. If you are sick of meandering through giant aisles at Home Depot or Lowe's, this is the place for you. The store is well organized, and you buy specific quantities of a lot of fasteners! this is unheard of at your big-box home improvement places. This Ace offers a myriad of services, including: a paint counter, a key counter (including chip keys), propane refilling, screen making (in-house), and a post office. yes. you heard me right, a full-service U.S. post office (which is open M-F 8am-6:30pm and Sat 8am-3:00pm). They also have a small selection of plants. There are usually some fantastic monthly deals going on, so make sure you get an Ace Rewards card to get in on those. I knocked it down a star because prices are slightly higher here. but in my opinion, it is worth the mark up. I don't frequent this side of 45 often but I had to travel a bit today as I needed to send a package and return equipment to AT&T (nope it's not the end yet, gonna see how things work with the new equipment first). This Ace Hardware has a post office which mostly ships items and they are so friendly and quick to offer assistance to insure you are using the proper shipping items. Service was quick and friendly. There were several customers but the wait wasn't long and no one was bothered by waiting in the organized line as we all received prompt assistance. Full Service USPS locations should take lessons from this small hub... then again it may not help because the Full Service USPS are all filled with people who have worked there since before I was born and instead being thankful that they are still healthy and employeed goodness they are rude and mean to customers like we know all the answers about shipping and receiving if we did we would not ask a question of you or stand in the long line to have you be so rude we'd use the self service, but hey we need you so smile once awhile like the great staff at this USPS satellite inside Ace Hardware! Ace also has nice finds on their sale end of season area I didn't browse around as much as I wanted too because there was a stomach bothering smell inside the store that I couldn't tolerate but a few things caught my eye so I'll be back read more

I just left the store. Santa had EXTRA help restocking. Busy busy tidying the store for ALL Ur XMAS shopping needs. Not sure why y'all gave them just 3 stars? I was in and out with what I needed in 7-10 minutes. I even rounded up my bill to donate to The Women's Home charity they're supporting this year. I guess it rotates to diff charities each year. They had a list of previous ones. Everyone was friendly and offered to help if I needed it. Got a price check on Traeger pellets, etc. They got FOUR STARS because unless they're carrying my stuff around and giving me a personal assistant, NO ONE gets five stars-ha ha! I hope the surrounding neighborhood supports them "BIG LEAGUE"? It's a good sized store with LOTS of the handy items U just don't need to go to Lowe's or Home Depot for. Thank You! This location is really close to our house. We've always had good service at this location, plus there is a post office inside that is super convenient for us. It's a typically laid out Ace, the bathroom was clean. They either have what we need or we have to go the extra 3 miles to Lowe's or Home Depot. read more

Best hardware store in town! Great prices. I like how the store isn't a giant maze and i'm trapped inside. It's nice and quite. They have so many odds and ends for many types of projects. I love the fact that they have tons of trays of various nuts and bolts. I like being able to just buy the exact quantity of nuts and bolts that I need for a project as opposed to buying a pack of them at Home Depot for wwwaaayyy too much. The prices are very good here. I'd much rather come here then the larger chains. I feel far more comfortable in there. Perhaps its the fact that its not a huge ugly warehouse full of crap. Rather is a nice little hardware store like the good ol' days with friendly and helpful people. read more

Arranged for an electrician to come out. They set the time as 7:45 AM. It's 10:56 AM now. We called at 8:20 find out if they were coming and the boss said they'd be here shortly. 2.5 hours later they are still a no show and no call. Ace really is the place with the amazing hardware man. Love this ace. If I need something quick i don't ave to wander around Home Depot or Lowe's. There is always some there to help me and find what I need with out having to track someone down. Even if it's only a few nuts and bolts that cost 50 cents they will take their time and find everything you need. Real mom and pop store type feel. Absolutely wonderful service. When the Sears Hardware drove the Armand Hardware our of business by opening next door and undercutting their prices, it was horrible. They didn't carry any of the air filters sizes the nearby neighborhoods needed and felt they could raise prices. They went out of business fairly promptly. The ACE hardware that opened immediately started carrying products we want and when asked for something they don't have, they ordered for me then started carrying it. Responsive, helpful and they hire young adults from the neighborhood. read more

This place is a joke. They hire bunch of teenage kids with no work experience. Most people work there has no idea about anything. One guy that knows some thing is never available. This is a country club not a hardware store. If I have another choice I will avoid this place. read more

After calling and driving almost 45 minutes to get there and having someone actually go to the shelf and confirm that yes indeed they did have a 2 foot long 1/2 " brushed nickel downrod for a ceiling fan imagine my surprise when it was actually a bronze color. I ask an associate if this was all they had and he said yes. He said "were you the person who called" and I said yes. He said "here it is" and I said this is bronze and showed him on the label. He said nothing as he turned away and walked off. What a !@#$%^&* I said to myself as I left before saying anything to anyone. I guess it shows that there are some businesses that will hire ANYONE !!! Do not believe anything these !@#$%^ people say to you and go to a competent store like Lowes or Home Depot. read more

Lost my screen and lied about it! On 1/31/2017 I dropped off 3 screens to be replaced with pet-proof screen. I was told the frames would have to be replaced to accommodate the thicker material. I paid in advance and was told it would be a couple of weeks. Marco V said the screen person was on vacation. Got a call later from Marco and he said they didn't have pet screen anymore but offered me solar which is pretty tough so I said ok. Two weeks later I picked them up. When I unwrapped them at home I discovered that all 3 were oriented 90° off. Tabs and springs where on the sides of each rather than top and bottom. They had the originals to copy and just didn't. I returned them and was told to come back the next day. I did but they still weren't ready. Went back today and was given 2 screens. No third. I asked Marco V. and he told me I only brought back 2?!?!?! Wow!!!! The manager refunded me for all 3 but now I'm out a screen. WTF?!?!? And this Marco lied to my face. Good luck Ace. You'll end up firing this guy soon, I'm sure. And you've lost a faithful customer. read more
