Finally!!!! A hardware store on the west side of League City. It's been a long time coming!!!!…read more Located on the southeast corner of Hobbs and League City Parkway (Hwy 96), this Ace Hardware is a huge plus to those of us who live west of the Gulf Freeway. I've utilized them a few times now. The staff has been extremely helpful. They know the whole store, not just the department. They aren't experts in everything DIY but I've found them to be more than willing to help or at least try to figure it out. The owners are on-sight most of the time and are extremely friendly. Like any Ace Hardware, some items are slightly more expensive than Lowe's and Home Depot. However, they also have things that those stores don't have, like loose nuts and bolts for instance. Honestly, is there anything more annoying than having to buy pre-packaged nuts and bolts? The project I was doing today required 4 bolts, nuts, and fender washers. I went to Ace and bought 4 bolts, nuts, and washers. I wasn't forced to buy packs that are pre-packaged with numbers that NEVER align. There's always 6 bolts, 4 nuts, and 7 washers. Its like buying hot dogs and buns...the numbers never match. Anyway, I digress. I love being able to buy exactly what I need in the exact count I want. Plus, I got a great deal on some sunflower seeds for my bird feeders. I got a 25lb bag on sale for $9.99. They are also an authorized dealer for Big Green Egg and Traeger Grills. This is important because the only other dealer for BGE in League City recently closed. As far as power tools go, they carry Craftsman, Milwaukee, Dewalt, and Stihl. They carry Benjamin Moore paint and other brands. They have almost everything you need at a hardware store minus a bunch of lumber, fencing, and building/roofing materials. If you need that, don't come here. Bottom line - They have almost everything you need for the DIY projects that you have going around the house. Conveniently located and extremely helpful. I am very glad they are now in the neighborhood.

During the spring season, they have a small selection of plants. Populars in front of the store and Texas natives in the back. I used to shop here daily after work. Everyone who works here is so sweet and knowledgeable. Joanna who usually waters the plants, she is personable. Every time I'd come, we'd spend a few moments sharing our plant knowledge. I've bought a lot of TX natives. I even came here to landscape the yard with the variety of coleus, caladiums, variegated oregano, flowering plants, and salvia. I really like that they have a garden in the back displaying all the natives that is for sale. I've recommended this nursery to a few of my older customers. Especially the ones who were interested in growing a pollinator garden.

I had bought some 3 days earlier, when I noticed that the ones I had previously purchased were now priced lower than what I had previously paid. I spoke to Paula in Returns , but she indicated that I had to return them to get a price adjustment. Unfortunately, I had already put them on my fence. That's , when Tom came to the rescue. He helped me with selecting new boards & finding other items I needed. He then walked me to Returns & spoke to Paula about getting a price adjustment on the previous pickets. Paula was also very helpful. She initially was a lil confused on why I wanted a price adjustment, until Tom explained that the correct price was not there earlier. If all HD employees were as helpful as Tom, maybe some of these reviews wouldn't be as bad. He was knowledgeable, nice & very helpful.

I used to love coming to this Home Depot because the indoor plant selection was always impressive,…read moreand they regularly restocked with new varieties. Lately, though, it seems like the selection has become repetitive, and I haven't seen many new plants for quite some time. I'd really love to see more variety, especially when it comes to anthuriums and other uncommon houseplants. As it is now, it feels like a waste of time to make the trip only to find the same selection every visit. I've noticed that the Home Depot in Houston Central consistently has a much better variety of anthuriums and other indoor plants. I hope the Bay Area location can improve its inventory and bring back the diverse plant selection it used to have.

I only want to be touched by women I allow to enter my personal space. I'm checking out & the register doesn't find my business account. Ok, cool but I guess she's looking on my handheld device & she tells me my account isn't found. So i try my work phone number & it's also not found. So i scan the qr code to sign up and proceed to pay. After I pay I take a picture of the receipt for my expense report. She then tells me that you can sign up for business rewards on the monitor & proceeds to press the on screen button. I tell her I already know & I've scanned the QR code to sign up on my phone. She then proceeds to press the cancel button on screen & touches my arm in the process. I'm thoroughly disgusted. I just got out of the shower & I don't want you touching me, plus I don't know where your hands have been. Using the monitor as an excuse to touch a customer is no different than grabbing someone's waist as you pass by them. When did we as a society decide it was ok to touch anyone we want anytime we want? If we did i completely missed that memo. So Rose the acist struck again. So I pick up an order in the pick up area that was given to me my another employee. The order has already been paid for & has a sticker showing so.
