There was a short Asian lady working the self check out that touched me against my will & I really don't like being touched against my will. I only want to be touched by women I allow to enter my personal space. I'm checking out & the register doesn't find my business account. Ok, cool but I guess she's looking on my handheld device & she tells me my account isn't found. So i try my work phone number & it's also not found. So i scan the qr code to sign up and proceed to pay. After I pay I take a picture of the receipt for my expense report. She then tells me that you can sign up for business rewards on the monitor & proceeds to press the on screen button. I tell her I already know & I've scanned the QR code to sign up on my phone. She then proceeds to press the cancel button on screen & touches my arm in the process. I'm thoroughly disgusted. I just got out of the shower & I don't want you touching me, plus I don't know where your hands have been. Using the monitor as an excuse to touch a customer is no different than grabbing someone's waist as you pass by them. When did we as a society decide it was ok to touch anyone we want anytime we want? If we did i completely missed that memo. read more

Definitely, the place for DIY projects so me and a friend went to get caulk, and a caulking gun, that's was all that was needed. Although, we did have and in-depth conversation with one other employees who worked in the area we searched who we discussed the project with and he gave some great pointers. The project was climbing on the roof to remove 2 satellites dish. It took about a good hour and of course you can get distracted, by other things up there and start to think what's the next project? Return desk employee was super rude. I was literally the only person there, it's her and one other employee who is on the phone with another customer so I approach her. She pointedly sends me to the employee on the phone, not wanting to help me. I explain what I want to return a Christmas item that was a gift, she jumps into the conversation and immediately says they can't accept the return and nobody else is taking returns for Christmas items (which not only is untrue because that's all I've done today, but unnecessary). Literally doesn't even try, apologize, or explain why. Just straight up cut into the conversation, said no and pointed at the return policy sign. If I can't return the item, fine. I had to write this review as I used to be a Home Depot ONLY person. Recently, I believe Lowe's (this location) has stepped their game up. I used have no luck finding associates to help if I had questions and needed a little bit of guidance, however, this recently changed. I stopped by with a list of things I needed to repair (ON A MISSION). I started at the garden center, as I needed some guidance on correct fertilizer and I was directed to a specific person who had been there "20 years". At first when I approached her she rolled her eyes and clearly didn't want to help. It was rather uncomfortable so I asked her if I should go to someone else. After she saw a photo of my lawn, she immediately knew what I needed and guided me to a specific fertilizer. I got it, and happily moved on to the main part of the store with the rest of my list. This is where I stumbled upon Cleighton. Maybe I looked a tad confused reading the aisle markers and he happily asked if I needed help. He walked me through my options on numerous repairs and had SO MUCH PATIENCE making sure I understood everything he was suggesting. This was A+++ customer service. It completely changed my view on Lowe's and I hope when I choose them over Home Depot in the future, they don't let me down. That's when I can upgrade my stars to 5 ;). read more

Terrible service. Told the sales woman that my house was propane, twice! Delivery driver informs me I need a plumber and a conversion kit since the dryer he had was natural gas. Took 30 minutes and several phone calls to get a manager. He informed me the issue would be taken care of and I should be expecting a call shortly. Phone call never happened. Called back, several times, and finally got someone. (sometimes the phone just rings and rings and eventually hangs up on you.) The manager who said he would take care of the issue would not pick up the phone. I will NEVER go back to Lowes again. read more

I bought a freezer with delivery and removal of the previous appliance. I paid for the removal of the previous appliance. When the delivery guy came, he was rude and refused to take the item because he did not have enough room in the truck and we did not adequately scrub the inside to his liking. He told us to call Lowe's and reschedule. Lowe's charged us money for this and will not remove the old appliance. I called them and I sent a certified letter. I had the same experience as Judy below. She also describes how Lowe's charged her and refused to take her appliance. I am so tired of large corporations bullying the little guy because they can get away with it. This is fraud. When I complained to Lowe's (online and by phone after a long wait), their staff are mocking me. I included a screenshot of their customer service representative's bad behavior. The whole thing and that they can get away with this is unbelievable. I filed a complaint of fraud with the FTC at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/ . If Lowe's does this to you too, please file a complaint. It may only be $50 but this is repeated fraud against the consumer. I have contacted Lowes almost a dozen times since September 10, 2023. They still have the money to remove the old appliance and they still refuse to take the appliance. Update for 3:30, September 25, 2023. Hey Judy (the other Lowe's customer complaining on Yelp) if you are reading this Lowes just sent me a claim form for property damage and I think it might be about your broken tile. They said that they would finally come for the old appliance. I am hoping that they show up at my address and not yours. Do not recommend this store. They do NOT honor their return policy with receipt. Bought an item on clearance, didn't work out, and tried to return It new with receipt within the 90 day policy and the store manager rudely said this store doesn't take these type of returns. Even though the computer would allow It, they refused to process it. They look for any reason to deny a valid Lowe's return. My receipt clearly stated 90 days to return and I returned It within 30 days. Nowhere was the manager Jeremy's personal policy of denying clearance items written in the Lowe's stores return policy on the wall or my receipt. Jeremy also told me even if I filed a complaint nothing would change because his store doesn't accept these return. I hope my complaint goes to his boss. Unacceptable manager behavior. Called Lowe's customer service, and they verified that the store was wrong and this item was in fact eligible for return to any Lowe's store. I had to drive to the Lowe's store down the road. They took the return with receipt without any hassle and no questions asked. Much better experience. I was planning on going to this Lowe's to get all new flooring for my house but now I will be taking my business to a different store that honor's the return policy and has good customer service. They lost over 50k worth of future business over 30$ seat pillows. Have no intention on shopping here anymore. Home depot is right next door by the way. read more

This store has very poor management. This is the Christmas season and I tried to purchase a tool box on sale as a present. Took it to the cashier, he called head cashier then she called store manager. We finally got someone to the register and she acted as if we had just foreclosed on her new home. Advertised price for tool box was $274 in Texas and $154 in Florida, Georgia and other states. That wasn't the issue though. She refuse to sell item at Advertised price because they put the wrong tool boxes together. So I asked...just sell me the correct item then. She stated, that they didn't have it and she was not going to reduce the price on model that was marked wrong! At max were talking about $75. Nonetheless, she was not interested in customer satisfaction or anything related to it. This seems to be the atmosphere at this location period. For the record, Lowe's could care less about a negative review on yelp. This review is for some hot shot lawyer, that will file a class action against Lowe's one day and use these reviews as evidence. Great hardware store. Picked up a dehumidifier to see if it will help the house feel cooler. Especially in the morning when the shower steam has warmed things up. They had several to choose from. Picked up some pool supplies and some garden supplies. Have a self check out and someone there to do it for you. ( I always use the checker- nice lady I want to help her keep her job). Just everything you'd want out of a Lowe's so no reason to hesitate. Large store, plenty of selection, they have as much as you'd need. Location right off of I-45S, note it's on the east side. Maybe the best tip I'll give you is that although it's closer to Bay Area Blvd., the El Dorado exit is easier to navigate and you can easily get to it via Gatebrook Dr. Bay Area intersection is huge and related to mall on one side and retail shopping on the other, so to be avoided unless you like sitting at busy stoplights. Lowe's has a large parking lot that has plenty of spots, wide and square. Can be a problem for hardware stores, not here. What I like about this (and presumably all) Lowe's is that you can use the app or online website find what you're looking for and it will give you aisle and bay (which are clearly labeled in the store). Just makes that guessing game of reading signs that much easier. We recently bought a clothes washer there, a couple of shortcomings. Not that much inventory on the floor to look over before we intended to order online. If we were to do it again I would just look online. We bought one online for delivery and (hard to assign exact blame) wrong one was delivered. They let us keep the wrong one and it was over a month until they got the right one in stock. I think it was the delivery service was sloppy. Lowe's made it right though by letting us keep the wrong one (which was nicer). Wish the right one would have been ready sooner but once it was, easy swap no charge obviously. I also like self-checkout, used 3x in the last month, easy to not deal with people (especially in COVID times). Walk right up and the systems worked. Would definitely go back for all my needs, no hesitation. Nothing that much better than other options, so sit at 3 stars. read more

I purchased a refrigerator from Lowes and their contracted delivery service was beyond horrendous. Not only did they break my tile while using a 2 wheeler but then the delivery guys called me names, staged their photos and refused to install the refrigerator or remove the old refrigerator. I had paid extra for the removal. Lowe's basically did nothing but I filed a claim and of course I was told in writing from the delivery company that I was devious and they weren't going to pay. Tried to talk to Lowe's about it and I was informed their hands were tied and nothing that they could do. This is absolutely ridiculous. BEWARE. Back in July I signed a contract with Lowe's for a chain link fence and gate and promised an install for August ( and that didn't happen) Now today a month later after promise date, the installer came started my project and literally walked out on the job and to add insult to injury I have camera footage of him stealing materials that I paid for for. He did NOT finish the job, he removed my existing gate, made holes in my driveway, installed the new poles for the new gate crooked and not aligned. He started the fence in the back and stole the mesh. I spent the entire day on the phone with Lowe's and now they said I just have to wait! In the meantime I have no gate and I have 4 dogs that can not go outside . I rescue dogs with PTSD due to their service and now they must be confined! Lowe's did nothing! However they have charged my credit card $5,000 and I'm required to pay even though the work was not completed! The installer just walked off the job and stole my materials and Lowe's does not care. The salesman David K would not even answer my calls! I have no recourse I just have to wait! They left my yard a mess. I am without a gate and stolen supplies. read more

Came here for a couple of keys that needed to be reproduced and the lady that was helping me out was very nice and informative which she clearly didn't have to be nice but chose to. I have to also mention the awesome deals they have on cleaning supplies in large quantities and charcoal! I love to grill so when charcoal is on sale I am always up for it. Lowe's is also like my little scavenger hunt place for pieces of scrap, Anything from trim, planks, and oops' paint for my hobbies. Trying to start a home gardening project so me and my husband came to Lowe's. We saw a petunia pot we loved but had no price. I asked the nearest employee Debbie if she knew the price and her response was "well is there a price tag?" I said "well I couldn't find one so can you help find out what the price is?" She grabs the pot very roughly and rolls it around on the ground looking for a tag. She basically ruined the plant with her rough handling and didn't find it. She then asks me "are there any others like it?" I said "I don't know but I was hoping you could tell me" she huffed and said she didn't know. I said "do you work in the garden center??" She rolled her eyes and said "yes" I said "then can you find out?" She finally got someone who said there was no price but could put the price of $20 so we took it to pay. Again, met with another rude employee at the register. Her name is Gwen and she wouldn't honor the price the other employee gave us and told us to go find a manager! We left the stupid plant and told her it's been impossible to get any help here from anyone! She sarcastically proceeds to say "I'm so sorry no one has helped but I can help you with anything you need" WHATEVER!!! never again coming to this place. Our kitchen and bathroom project's installation started on April 12th. Stone Systems provided countertop products and installations. The experience doing business with Lowe's this time has been very dreadful. It has brought us tremendous hardship and inconvenience in our daily life. For countertops: 1. Countertops were finally ready for install on June 23rd. The products were expected for delivered, installed and ready for us to use on May 7th. It was 47 days delayed due to Lowe's/Stone Systems' mistake, mishandling, lack of communication with each other. The island piece was remade three times. The one installed in our kitchen is the fourth one they made. Sink-run piece and cooktop area piece were remade once. We had no water, no sink, no cooktop, no countertops and no dishwasher to use for 47 days since May 7th due to poor planning, poor countertop installation execution, lack of coordination between Lowe's and Stone Systems, poor quality, and QC issues. A lot of our kitchen stuff was stored in our living-room and office for all this time. We had to live on take-out food. We couldn't even make instant coffee and tea because we had no sink and water to clean cups. Our lifestyle got interrupted immensely. We had to take some unnecessary personal days off from work due to Stone Systems' mistake. We were frustrated, suffered from the inconvenience, and got mentally impacted from the big mess greatly. 2. When a countertop specialist came for measurement on April 16th, he told us to take off some backslash pieces for their installation. And we did. Later, the installation crew told us there was no need to do that. When the countertop installation crew came to install cooktop area, they took off a wall plug and a light switch. They refused to put them back because they told us they didn't know how to do it. Now we have to find and pay someone to put them back. 3. Early June, we had to put a lot of effort to coordinate a solution between cabinet installer and Stone Systems to break a stalemate for installations to proceed. Stone Systems said that they won't continue the installation if cabinets' level were not adjusted. Lowe's wouldn't respond our emails and phone calls, neither provided any help and solutions to resolve the issues. When one of us was on an international business trip, he had to make international calls, multiple times, to play a key role in getting the expectations and specs from both cabinet installers and Stone Systems and finally came to a solution. Exhausting! We have to say that it was due to our effort to make the project move forward. We felt we were ignored by Lowe's. No/little leadership and help demonstrated by the Webster Lowe's team to get these two entities to come to a solution.You may wonder why we needed to do that. It was already in early June and we saw no/little leadership and help demonstrated and can't wait patiently forever! (Once a store manager told us to wait patiently.) read more

Lady in the appliance department didn't seem like she cared to be there, she wasn't quick to serve us, and we had to seek her out for help rather than her approach us for a sale. Once we got her attention, she looked up the distance to deliver to our house and said it was 21 miles and they were going to charge us for full delivery charge. I went in today to purchase gift cards like I have done many times before. I get to the counter with my 8 gift cards (total of $400) and after she scanned the 4th gift card told me that there is a $200 limit a day on gift cards. Granted most of the gift cards including Lowe's have maximums of $500. So I asked her if she would sell me a $250 Lowe's gift card and she said no. Wow. I then ask my husband who was checking out separately to buy the remaining gift cards at which point the cashier says that she will have to get permission since we are together!!!! Unbelievable.
