I am attempting to order a granite vanity top from the Webster Texas store, but because of gross incompetence, it does not appear to be possible. I started my journey last month (June), when I ordered a granite top and they scheduled someone to come for the measurements. They measured and then informed me I needed to pay the bill - fair enough. When I tried to pay the bill, I was informed that the minimum was for 25 sq. feet, but my order was only about 8 sq. ft. This was not what I was originally told at the store. Anyway, I went in and spoke to them and they redid my order on July 9th. It is now the 15th, and Sage, the fabricating company, has no idea about the new order; they only have the record of the old order which is on hold. When I called on the 14th, Sage said they would call Lowes and straighten it out by the end of the day and call me right back. They never did. I called today and they, Sage, still had no idea about the order, and they told me to call Webster. How it is so difficult to get a company to do their job for an item you have ordered weeks ago is beyond me. Meanwhile, my bathroom is half finished and my contractor is wondering why Lowes is unable to complete a simple order. Now, I will have to call Webster and go through their ridiculous answering system that is incapable of connecting me to the correct person, and try to get them to complete their own order. Now, let me state that I really hate Home Depot, but if Lowes can't get their act together, I will seriously rethink about were I want to spend my money for the next remodel, which will likely be in about 6 months, assuming I can get this stupid granite top done by then. read more

A Lowes worker named Mindy positively delighted in letting me know that the extra set of Christmas lights I bought (retail $4) couldn't be returned and I was an idiot for trying. I actually came to buy a $100 tool kit and just happened to find the lights in the backseat; instead the rudeness off this employee will lose Lowes all of my future business. I visited Lowe's yesterday to purchase some plywood for my attic. I needed to lay some plywood in the attic so I could start storing more things at my house. A Lowe's employee saw me looking at the plywood and immediately asked if I needed some assistance. He immediately wrote down what I was needing and walked up to the register with me. He told the cashier what I needed and waited with me as I paid. We then went back to the plywood where he loaded the pieces I needed onto a cart. He wheeled the plywood back to the cutting machine and called another employee over for assistance in cutting the boards. They were super quick and very friendly. Dryer Delivery Dud We purchased a new GE dryer at Lowe's and paid for delivery, installation and removal of the old dryer. The delivery crew arrived with no tools to install the dryer and I had to lend them my tools. The dryer exhaust was so poorly installed that it would have burnt out the motor within a month. It was as if they had to use every inch of the exhaust tube and coiled it around like a drunk snake. Then I had to insist that they remove the old dryer even though we paid extra for that service. Who ever Lowe's hires to do their installations, they need to reexamine that contract. read more

Poor customer service Saturday 11:00 am only had UScan (self check out) lanes open two of which were having repeated issues with scanning. After being unable to check out went up Home Depot and all check stands were open and saved over $30 because I didn't have to settle on the limited selection Lowe's had. What a joke. I went on the website last night and today and it indicated that the Lowes Baybrook had six of the closet maid shoe organizers holding 15 shoes in stock. It has six in stock. So like a fool I went to Lowe's Baybrook. After standing around for nearly 15 minutes with employees walking by me refusing to make eye contact because they knew I would ask for help I went to the front checkout. and told the two ladies there I needed help on Isle 30. They said they would get someone right over. After a 10 minute wait I finally flag down a young lady walking by. I told her what I was looking for and at the website said six in stock. She looked around looked at the top shelves looked at her hand held device and said sorry there are none in stock. I said why did it tell me six on the website two days in a row. She explained about the shipping order coming in ahead of the truck so on and so forth. Just a big load of BS. I went home got online found it on Amazon prime ordered it for the exact same price free shipping and I will have it on Friday. Amazon is not hurting small business. I get there 20 minutes later and no one at the pick up desk. Sign left saying go to customer service desk. So I'm in line behind 4 people with returns. Only one associate working. I went in today to pick up my order I had placed online last night. When I got there they told me they couldn't find it. I am a patient guy so I waited. After about 30 minutes no one gave me any updates, so I looked up and down the main isle to see if I couls see anything that looked like my order. After about 15 more min. two guys brought it up and told me to bring my truck. When they went to put it in my truck, I noticed that they were trying give me wood products full of concrete dust and did not offer to clean off our replace. They wouldn't even help me tie it up in my truck. I called for the GM and told the employee I wanted to only talk to him. I thought he would want to know how his customers are being handled. They instead sent me this redneck asst with an attittude. I told him I wanted to speak to the GM he kept walking closer to me as if he could intimadate me and kept saying he was the asst mgr. as if that was all I was going to get! On Monday February 26th I made a purchase at the store located on Fort Apache in Las Vegas. Being a veteran I asked for the Veteran's discount. The cashier first asked me what branch of service I was in and what was my date of discharge. I objected to the questioning and asked for the manager. Instead I was referred to a very rude supervisor who informed that without the requested inform atom I would not receive the Veteran' 10% discount. I don't know how many other Veterans have received such treatment but I can assure them that I will not shop in Lowe's again. I want to give a Big shout out for" Karen Hinton" at the Baybrook. Webster Texas location....I came in to look at getting some florescent Bulb replacements and had carried a old one with me, to compare as i had no expertise in this field...I walked in to Lowe's, and ask a couple employees where i might find the bulbs i needed.... when Karen approached me and said the bulbs you are looking for,,are on this isle here and if you follow me i will be happy to show where they are... so i followed thinking how nice she was to take the time to show me right where the bulbs i needed were.... even though she was quit busy with other duties.... then Karen did some thing quit amazing!! she didn't just show me where they were.... I told her i knew nothing about what i was looking for .... Karen took the time to teach me enough about them so i would not have a problem on how to determine the size i need in the future!!! I don't care for home improvement stores mostly because we don't own a home. Living in an apartment, we only use Lowe's and Home Depots for mini projects to decorate, never anything big or expensive. We recently visited this store to get wood and a few items to build our own small coffee table. We chose this store because it was close and my parents have always recommended Lowe's over other options; however, we were very frustrated after spending ten minutes walking around the lumber section before we finally went elsewhere in the store to find an associate to help us. When we asked if they could cut the wood. We were told their machine did not do measurements below an inch, so they couldn't cut the wood to 17 1/4" for us. The gentleman who explained this to us seemed a bit out off by having to discuss our options with us, and since we don't have a garage, and we will have to buy the wood and take it to my parents' house to cut it ourselves. We did find knowledgable help in the garden center, however, and the cashier was very friendly. I was disappointed mostly in what appeared to be a lack of enthusiasm to help customers who needed assistance and support with poor options. read more

Worst experience ever. Ordered our appliances almost a month now, and was promised for delivery on December 22. Had a call the day before about delivery time. Stayed home that day and waited around, past delivery time. Nothing. Called in to the store, they transferred my call to 5 different people, who gave me 5 different answer why my appliances was not delivered. I finally gave up because I was on the phone for over two hours, mainly on hold. Came into the store the next day and spoke to them, they gave me another delivery date, which I was fine too. Came the day of delivery, said my appliances were all damaged on the way to deliver, so rescheduled again! On the day of the 3rd scheduled delivery, never received a call to get an estimated time, but it's fine. We waited around all day. Still nothing. Went to the store, said it was rescheduled!!! I found the staff to be extremely helpful! I went in for a mop so didn't bother to get a cart....well, you know how that works...as you're walking around - you find 10 other things that you absolutely "NEED" to buy. I couldn't possibly hold another item in my arms and was in the back of the store...a sales associate saw me and offered to go to the front of the store (which seemed like a mile away) to get a shopping cart for me! We needed a new washing machine and went to Lowes to get one on Thursday afternoon. We found the one we wanted and waited patiently for the associate to finish helping someone else. When it was our turn, he said he could not help us because he worked in delivery and then ran away. We should have taken that as a sign but instead we went to customer service to ask about the washer and to see if it could be delivered the next day. They did not know but got us a manager who was able to order one from the League City location and said we could get it next day! We were taken back to customer service to pay for the washer. I swear to you we had been there for over an hour at this point. We get the Lowes card to get the discount or the no interest for 6 months but the cashier cannot figure out how to ring it up so we just take the zero interest. Then apparently you cannot buy a washer and plants at the same time so we bought the washer and then the plants and of course this means no 10% discount on the plants. We get a 5% discount and say that is fine. We are told we will get a call from the delivery company that night to arrange delivery for Friday. Of course no call. On Friday morning we call Lowes who puts me on hold for 20 minutes before I have to hang up and call back. They give me the number to the delivery company who then tells us there is no order for a washer. We argue about that for a bit and are then transferred back to Lowes. Lowes investigates and says there is a system issue and they have IT working on it. We get a call back at noon saying the best course of action is for us to come back in and buy the washer again!!! I went online to Fry's at 1:00pm and bought the same washer and had it delivered at 4:30pm the same day. AMAZING. Lowes should contract Fry's to help them with their appliance department. read more

Overall, the service we received when purchased solar shades for our dining room was very good. Paula, the blinds and shades sales rep was courteous, professional and was clearly an expert in the selection of the right shades to fit our home. She explained the different phases of the purchase: (1) select and buy the desired solar shade from among a few different swatch books. (2) An installer (Kelly) who's a private contractor, calls you to schedule time to measure your windows. (3) Shades cut to your specs arrive directly to you in the mail. (4) When they do, call Kelly back to schedule the installation. In addition to Paula's professionalism, Kelly is professional and courteous as well, and the time he spent to both measure and install were quick. HERE'S WHY I RATED THEM 4-STARS AND NOT 5-STARS: First, on a few attempts I made to call Paula to follow up on a few items, a guy named James answered the phone. On each occasion, he said he would forward my message to Paula, but never did. Second, as nice as Kelly is as a person, it's difficult to schedule an installation that doesn't require another 2-week waiting period because Kelly services several Lowes in the area. Sent my 20 year old son to go buy spray paint for a rehab project and an older female clerk asked to see id. No problem, 18 is the Texas state law for spray paint sales. She refuses to sell to him because he is not 21. HOME DEPOT wins again! How many times have I been to Lowe's and their personnel don't know where to find something or are non existent in the first place. Worst customer service i have experienced in years. I purchased a bathroom vanity and exterior door to be picked up later. I was told the items could remain there for 90 days and i simply needed the receipt and phone number. Fast forward three weeks and i try to pick up my items. Upon entering the pickup order number printed on my receipt at the customer service desk a completely different person and item were produced by their system. I stood around for 1 hour while they tried to figure out what to do and kepy shrugging at me like it was my problem. A manager even made up a bogus story that they tried calling me several times and restocked my items. Ultimately they found my vanity with my name and number on it but not the door. Go figure. Luckily they were able to pull another door from the floor. Ultimately I left with my items but got zero apology from anyone at the service desk. Stay away from this place. Lowe's Webster, NY is probably the most poorly run, and poorly stocked store in the chain. I live 5 minutes from the store and I will drive the 20 minutes to shop at the closest Home Depot from now on. The store manager doesn't care about what customers have to say, the staff are anything but helpful (actually they are pretty disrespectful to customers) and their inventory is terrible. 9 out of the last 10 times I've gone there, they don't have the items I need, even though their app says these items are in stock. Try finding someone who is willing to help....that's a joke. The last straw was when I attempted to buy a gallon of deck stain. I wanted a specific color and was told they don't have the base in stock. I asked how that's possible when they have so much stain in stock. I was told the colors that use that base aren't very popular. Ok....well why advertise it as a stock product that you can get on demand?! Why not list it as a special order product? There is an issue every time I go there. I thought maybe I was nitpicking until my wife made a comment about it. That sealed the deal for me because she is the most patient person I've ever met and if she's getting frustrated with them I know I'm not overreacting. Adios Lowe's. You're fired! read more

Nothing to write home about. We've gone here mainly for budget patio furniture and plant shopping. The times we've went, we've gone through the garden entrance. The people in the garden area are nice and helpful if asked. Check out was easy both times. On the whole, I'd call it a nice Lowe's since it's clean and seemingly pretty well organized. But at the same time it isn't impressive. Will be going back there, no doubt, but more out of convenience than brand/store loyalty. read more

I hate to give Lowe's a one star rating but THIS store is the worst store. If you call the store no one will answer the phones, calls get directed to Corporate (1-800-810-6102), who then will call the store someone will connect you with the store. UNSAT. The next issue is with Lowe's is the third party vender (XPO) who makes delivers. I was told that my delivery will happen at a certain time by XPO and provided me with a 2 hour window, driver never showed up and never called to stay they will not be able to make the delivery. I had to call Corporate, the next day and they told me that the driver "ran out of time" for the delivery. The following day, I was told that it will be delivered by the Store Manager, Corporate and XPO. After spending all day with no phone calls from the driver, I ended up calling the Cooperate, who then called the Manager at XPO (ended up on a three way call) and was told by the XPO Manager that the driver would be there in 30 min. 2 hours later no delivery. When I called Corporate they told me that the driver "ran out of time and could only drive a total of 8 hours a day." Was told that by Corporate and XPO Manager that the delivery will be the "first stop" the next day. Now were at day 3 and still no delivery. Called Lowe's and spoke to the Manager who told, "me being this late in the day there is no way they can make a delivery tonight." So far 3 days of promised deliveries and still nothing!!! Lowe's needs to reconsider who they partner with when dealing with making deliveries. XPO is making them look bad! read more

Very bad experience, will never shop Lowes again. Third party delivery service re-scheduled me twice on scheduled delivery day and then called at 7:15 p.m. to cancel me for the day. Called 1-800-810-6102 and spoke to Gabby. She then transferred me to Andy in the warehouse and he transferred me to his supervisor who promised to have the refrigerator (did I mention my had died) put on a hot shot truck the next morning (only delivery on the truck) and delivered by 10:00 a.m. Waited till 10:30, NO DELIVERLY. Went to the above store and waited for 40 min. for the returns clerk could locate Roy(his name tag said asst. store manager. He called the warehouse and they contacted third party delivery co., yes refrigerator still on truck UNKNOWN DELIVERY TIME!!!!!. He would not issue refund until refrigerator returned to warehouse. Would do nothing else. No they could not call the STORE MANAGER!!! NO THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE A DISTRICT MANAGER'S PHONE NUMBER. Noticed the sign with 1-800-44lowes and called them and discussed for an hour, I had to ask twice for a supervisor because all I could get from the agent as "I'm sorry. Finally the supervisor called the warehouse and they again call the third party delivery company and they again confirmed the refrigerator was still on the truck with an unknown delivery time. The warehouse canceled the order and refunded the charges to my credit card and e-mailed me a copy of the transaction. Total time wasted with Lowes 4 1/2 hours waiting for delivery, 45 min. that night on the phone, 40 min. wasted waiting for Roy to be found, 20 min. wasted with Roy, & 1 hr. wasted with 1-800-44lowes. WANT TO WASTE YOUR LIFE, SHOP LOWES!!!!!!! I know better. P.S. ALSO WASTED AN HOUR BUYING THE REFIGERATOR. YOU GUESSED IT ONLY ON PERSON WORKING BACK THERE!!!!!!!!! read more
