I just got back from that salon and I had such an awesome experience! As soon as I got there, I felt like I was home

I've been to M & A Nails many times before they closed due to covid and when I found out they were open again I was so thrilled to come back since they have always done an amazing job on my nails. When I first walked in and checked in I was right on time for my appointment. I waited for 10-15 minutes, while I waited the receptionist asked what I was looking for and I showed her my inspo picture that I found on Pinterest and these were specifically for my gender reveal the following day. I made sure to ask if any of the nail techs new how to do an ombré like the picture of not I can just do a simple solid color and she assured me the nail tech knew how to do it. When I was finally sat down to the chair I immediately regretted coming to that place because the nail tech that was doing my pedicure (keep in mind she also did my manicure) was so rough on my feet that she made my big toe bleed twice, I had told her to please be a little more gentle and I'm not sure if she just didn't understand me because she just kept going at it. Finally when she was doing my hands, she cut 4 of my fingers and I have no idea what liquid she was using that my skin was literally burning. Half way threw the process I was already able to tell that she did not know what she was doing. Once she finished the receptionist even had the audacity to tell me that it "looks just like the picture". I was so devastated that I wanted to cry because these were suppose to be my gender reveal nails and they still had the nerve to charge me 150.00 even after I told them I didn't like my nails at all and when I said that they just stayed quiet. This place is apparently under new management which I wasn't aware of until the end of my service. I came in at 4:30 pm and did not leave until 9 pm so my advise to anyone wanting to get their nails done DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. Waist of time and they will just over charge you for horrible service. read more

Wow!!! I had the best experience! I came here because my daughter wanted to do something special for her birthday and she wanted to go to a nice place to do her nails with her cousin and friend. I called and the booking process was really smooth and easy. I got text reminders before the appointment. When we got there I was so surprised to see they had a cupcake and small balloon for my daughter!!! And they went all out for her making her feel special. They also put stickers on the girls as complimentary and didn't charge extra.. I'm so happy we chose this place. Also, my nails were completely in bad shape before, and I was kind of concerned doing gel over it, but I decided to do gel at the same time. And it came out amazing! Walked in on a whim looking for a manicure and pedi but the team helped me repair my nail beds and applied a beautiful set for me. I'm a chronic nail biter and tend to be too embarrassed to get my nails done because of the damage to them. First time here and I was really disappointed in their customer service. I rated this place 3 stars, not 2 like Initially planned to, because the lady that did my mom's nails was actually really nice and tried to make the most out of the night. We called ahead of time on Saturday to see if they could squeeze us in before closing. The lady that answered said yes, come now so we left immediately. Upon arrival, they weren't that friendly. Not sure if it's the culture or just that it was less than an hour prior or closing, but there was a lot of tension upon arrival. If it was too late and they wanted to close at 8pm, they should've said so over the phone. The only reason I ended up staying and getting my nails done was because my mother was looking forward to getting her nails done before church on Sunday and we were so busy around the house that we lost track of time. The place I usually go to was closed and I really wanted to give this place a try since they're so close to my house. The young lady that helped me, was very rude and seemed very annoyed by my presence. She kept looking at her watch and staring at the time on her phone. Her whole demeanor was unpleasant. I'm just glad my mother got the nice nail technician and she was able to chat with her a bit and make the experience worthwhile. Not sure I'll be back since my experience was not the best but I do hope they take this feedback and do better in the future. Really recommend greeting customers and smiling more. Also, don't make your customers feel like a burden and let them soak their feet as their nails are done instead of doing in towards the end. That's the main reason a lot of us get pedicures rather than paint our own nails at home. read more

I really wanted to like this salon but nope! First of all they don't have enough workers yet claim walk ins are welcome (but then tell people when they walk in it's by appointment only ) And second of all and most importantly their employees don't know what they're doing and their products are garbage! My mom and I booked two pedis and two gel manis for my Moms birthday. The pedicures were good but the person who did mine (didn't get her name because she spoke maybe 5 words the whole time), TOOK FOREVERRRR with the polish application. I mean 20 minutes too long. Same woman did my gel, and it was the same issue, way to long. And messy. She wore rubber gloves and when she would clean the gel off of my skin it would get on the gloves and then proceed to get all over me. she also files WAY too much and irritated my skin. She also doesn't respond when people flinch or pull back. NOW TO MY MOMS. I believe the owner did her gel mani and it was GARBAGE. She cut my mom and now it's inflamed and sore. One of her nails peeled and chipped TWO DAYS after and several other nails chipped at the tips. Maybe hire actual licensed nail techs and let them do what they are trained to do. We went back on Wednesday to have it fixed. The guy fixed it and then proceeded to add another coat of polish over all of the nails despite if it needed it or not... AND THIS MORNING POLISH IS LIFTING. Perhaps invest in higher quality products and offer your clients more of a selection. read more

Not worth what they charge. Either improve or lower your prices. Full set never lasts, must be bad product or bad technician. Kelly is cool and seems to act like she knows what she's doing but what matters is how long my nails are lasting and how the look a week or 2 after the service. Gotten about 3-4 different full sets here and paid about $100 each time I came in but I'm done giving them a chance. Even if you add gel on top, the nails pop right off. They fix the nails for free but you will be in there every few days and then when it's time to get a fill, they are ALL grown out at different lengths. The full sets here are worth $30, MAX. 8 out of 10 of my nails came off within a matter of 3 weeks!! (no they weren't extremely long and yes I was gentle with them). One even popped off from me making a fist to just look at my nails! Also booking through yelp can be complicated and the owner may forget to actually put you on the schedule and then make it sound like it's your fault. Also, she's kind of weird when she stands over you while you're getting your nails done. I would never get a pedicure here again, doesn't matter who does it, they don't clean the cuticles. Contemplated on leaving this review, but its only fair and right. I went in for a fill and a nail fix. Upon sitting on the chair, management and nail tech start going at it because she(nail tech) doesn't feel confident in doing my nails. Instead of advising so and letting me go, management states she can do it, but to make sure she will try one nail and see. After one nail she proceeded to do the rest. I allowed it, thought she could take on the task of acrylic fill and fix. Once it came to my broken nail, she briefly removed what was broken by shaving it down and adding a nail on top. Horrible fix, but continue as along the way I kept telling her what is wrong, what I don't like. Bless her soul, as she kept trying to fix it, but there was barely any betterment. Still holding faith she can make end product look well, I learned a valuable lesson that day. I did not complain and I did not fight the full charges of $63 despite being done terribly and nail tech also advising management $63 was too much. But management proceeded to state it was a fill, it was French tip (look at the photos for the "French tip") and fix. Well after 2 hours, I paid for the service, but I will never be back and I would advise if you are heading in for nails to rethink and look elsewhere. -nails shaped uneven -nail length uneven -fix nail was doubled on instead of full removal of old acrylic -nail paint job terrible -chunky nails -acrylic fill not done correctly I did go get them redone else where 2 days later. I had last minute walked in and they did a wonderful job. All the staffs were really helpful and friendly. My technician made sure I liked my nails. I believe the manager or boss of the place was very nice and helpful. As a indecisive person, I asked for her recommendation and she showed me which one would I prefer. I tried out something new. I brought my own polish and it was broken on accident so I had to use one of the polishes there. I picked a hot pink but It was really dry, leaving my nails looking clumpy and old. The lady that polished my nails, I believe was Rosie. She was telling me all polishes are new. Yeahhhh. I don't think so. I can do a better job polishing my own nails. I complained to the nail girl and she said she would re-paint them but I was short with time. Also, Rosie kept pulling her mask down. I was uncomfortable with that. Such a waste of my $45. This place is very clean and my new favorite nail salon in the valley. It's never too crowded and the service is always great. The young lady at the front desk, the owner Ana, and John (who I request for pedicure) are all so professional and kind. They also have really good music videos playing on TV which is much better than a movie IMO. The prices are reasonable and they seem to be a full service salon. I was really happy with the service and with my nails. I got a gel manicure and regular polish pedicure, for $40 and callus treatment for $10. The prices are very fair, especially with their 10% check in offer. I paid less than $50 for everything before tip. I brought my bf's mom with me for a girls day. Jon did her nails and did a very good job, while Nancy did mine. We were both happy with the results :) Its been a little over 2 weeks since and my gel nails still look great! I'll definitely be back to get my nails done here. The inside is decorated very nicely and they have massage chairs you can use while you get your pedicure. paying $52 was not worth what i ended up with. I got a full set just today at 12pm and by 1pm I notice this won't last. There's a lot of spots that he missed to paint and the paint itself wasn't even on my nails. So now I have a few light and a few dark nails. I don't usually complain about anything but at the same time I don't always do my nails so when I do I expect it to be well done for what I am paying. This is my second time here. My first time here I got grey matte almond nails from Brenda && today I got these beautiful cat eye nails from Maria. Both ladies have done amazing jobs on my nails convincing me I can't get a bad nail tech here! I love when shops have a talented staff versus just one nail tech that can do everything. I don't feel ripped off here because the nail techs take their time and give you quality service. I consider myself pretty thrifty so finding a great place that gives quality service for low prices is great. I got a fill for $35 with cat eye gel for $5 and a pedicure for $20. I have been here 3 times and so far I really like it. I may end up changing to 5 stars if they keep it up. The salon looks clean and the techs do a pretty good job and seem to take their time, which I appreciate. They're honest with waiting times and will take walk ins if they can, but will let you know how things are going. I like the option of booking online, it makes it easy to know you have a spot. I'm prone to ingrown toenails and I like that they ask before touching the sides of my toes. I've had two salons just start cutting the sides without saying anything and cut incorrectly causing me to "fix" my pedicure myself the next day from pain or even heading to the podiatrist. The man that did my pedicure last time said he feels my nail digging in the side of my foot and asks if he wants me to cut it out. I told him, " It doesn't hurt me being there, but if you can cut it out and make sure it's done properly so I don't get an ingrown, you can". He went ahead and cut it out and took his time and I was pleased. Also, got two gel manicures and one regular manicure from three different people and have turned out great every time. I went back this thrusday got an appointment set up! They took me in super quick. John started my pedicure, and again he is amazing. Takes his time to do a really nice work, this is my second time he does my pedi I am super pleased. After, Kelly did my full set!
