After practicing yoga for several years, and teaching yoga for a stint, during the pandemic I added strength training to my practice. Both yoga and strength training left me with chronic pain. We've only just begun!!!!! My pictures shown here is better than a thousand words. I am an tax accountant and I started with Toby's training on Jan 2nd 2021. It was so hard to squeeze out that 1 hour. It is amazing how 1 hour per week with Toby made a huge difference in my body. I am in my mid 50's and I told her that my goal is to be able to sit down on the floor and be able to get up without rolling my body on the side to stand up. One question I asked the most during my session was, " You really think I can do that?" Toby just laughed and replied me with a strong "Yes of course!" She is great in identifying my weaknesses and improved my strength that I did not know I had. For my age, it is more like body and mind work that I never was aware of . I love this kind of small group training. All instruction is tailored to your fitness level but builds you up to the next level safely. The instructors are spot on with their expertise in fitness training. They make sure you don't injure yourself by matching you up with the right weights and they don't yell at you when you need to rest. They encourage you every step of the way. BTW they don't let you slack off either. It is NOT boring but a lot of fun working out with people in the same boat as you just trying to stay fit. She is knowledgeable, certified with a background in kinesiology, massage therapy, and athletic training. Meaning she knows the body and can help you reach your fitness goals. Her programs are top notch and she takes her time to listen to your aches, pains, and specifically provides educated solution to your needs. She actually cares for your well being. The studio itself is very clean with all the space and tools you need to modify every workout. It's has a private studio feel just for you not like your conventional gym where it's crowded and you have to fight for equipment. You have to see for yourself. MUV is the place to be for a customized workout. Jane is also well versed in deep massage and rehab so it's your one stop shop! At my age, I've been to a lot of gyms and had a lot of fitness trainers. I belong to another gym, but these are my favorite trainers by far, so I'm ending up here a lot, and am thinking of quitting my other gym. They know how to modify for my ability and injuries, and are always positive and motivating. The small group is great - the trainers can pay attention individual needs better than bigger settings. My husband likes going here, too, so I would also recommend it to men. read more
