Sure…read more However, there's a lot of other gyms in the area that are worth it in programming and atmosphere you get. In fact, there's one right across the street from this location I would recommend (I'll leave it up to you to Google it). If you're looking for the best classic style Crossfit gym, then definitely don't go here. This place is only but a shadow of its former self. Since the current owners unaffiliated the gym from the brand, the programming and membership has taken a sharp decline. They incorporated classes that resembled more of a base camp or something Hyrox adjacent. No one really cared about the brand of CrossFit, we cared for the workouts, and sadly those are long gone. Feedback that was given to the owners went ignored for too long and eventually it became too late. There's been a mass exodus of loyal and competitive members since then and the atmosphere just doesn't feel the same anymore. The demographic currently trends to an older age group and less competitive/advanced. Those aren't necessarily bad things but it might certainly might alter your preference.

Since F45 is a franchise, it's pretty fun to think that people across the world are doing the exact same workout as we are here in Pasadena. When traveling to different states, or even other countries, I've been able to visit studios there and I love the familiarity of it. There's no awkwardness or intimidation factor since it feels like home. The Pasadena studio is family-owned and the owners, Gabe & Michelle, take feedback and concerns seriously. They're always looking for ways to make the experience better and I love that personal touch. They've put a huge emphasis on building community among the members so that the studio isn't just a place to exercise but a place to form friendships. The coaches at Pasadena make the effort to get to know the members personally and are super friendly and motivating. They push you but are also sensitive to injuries or limitations and are able to provide modifications, if needed. When I don't feeling like getting out of bed and over to class, I know I can count on them to be there energized & ready to go. Thank you, F45 Pasadena!

Great facility (huge!), great coaches, and really rewarding workout routines. Coaches are awesome and pretty helpful regardless of your level. It can get busy, which is a plus, its super motivating to have the room full of people to sweat along with, and there are usually multiple coaches giving attention when needed, and did i mention the facility is huge? a lot bigger than other f45s i've checked out leaving a lot of room for activities, its a great space. What is it that they can tell me to do that I don't already know how to do? .... A LOT! For someone who went to the gym consistently, saw progress but not the kind of progress I was aiming for, it was a real downer. So when the opportunity came for me to be able to work with Q, I took it! I came in and first he kind of let me do my own work out. I thought... "what is this?" He watched me as I did some lat pulldowns. I did like 6 reps and he stopped me. My first thought, "he's going to tell me I'm doing it wrong"... typical, what most trainers do... but ... NO!!!! He showed me how to correctly position my back, the depth I should be pulling down as well as the speed and WHY... this was so important to me, and should be what you want in a trainer. You should always want to know why you're doing something! Q wants you to learn. He wants you to learn how to move and form correctly so that one, you don't injure yourself, two, you get the most out of your workout and see the results, and three, so that you won't need him again! Wow! What kind of honesty is this!? This really blew my mind. The goal is to get you to your goal plus knowledge on how to continue your progression Knowing that he really wanted to help me reach my goals by teaching me rather than telling me what to do made all the difference. Although I had some pride about how to lift some weights, he was very professional in his approach in teaching me how to do it properly. This was another thing, He did not belittle me, or make me feel dumb for doing things wrong. He made me feel comfortable while working a sweat! If you're looking for someone who you want to just put you through a workout, I guess it doesn't matter which trainer you go to, but if you're really looking to change yourself and learn why you're doing what your doing , I would highly recommend Q. The question that he asked me that I'll probably always remember is " do want to lose weight or do you want to look like you lost weight?" now I never thought about it, but they are two completely different things. He can definitely help you achieve either one, but I chose the later. I wanted to look like I lost weight. So here I am, 5'2 at 163lbs, stronger, healthier and loving it!!!

I went to a regular gym for about 15 years and never saw real results like I have here. The difference is the environment. You can even drop in & try a class as a walk-in (for less than $20) & see how you like it. Every trainer is different in teaching style, but with the same goal in mind--to get their clients a good workout & good sweat. If you need modifications because of an injury let it be known & they'll tailor it for you. Having the right form is extremely important to me so I appreciate when the trainers would correct me or show us the correct form. I found community here when I wasn't even searching for it. I was reminded to have a strong & positive mindset & that I would only see results if I put in the work. This isn't just a gym.
