While a tad more expensive than your average LA fitness or 24-hour fitness, they have plenty of lifting gear and equipment enough for anyone to use. The membership is pay as you go, so you pay every week/month at a time. They have cheaper alternatives like pay for 1 day or week if you just want to try it. Plus the last Friday of the month is only $5 for the day. Parking lot is small, and at peak hours (around 5-7pm) it does get crowded, and you may need to end up street parking. Also in the mornings, the door is open to members, but I've walked in a few times without anyone at the front desk checking me in. Might be some security concerns there, but ultimately, the community that comes to this gym is tight knit and knows proper gym etiquette, and the staff knows how to provide for their members. This gym caters to those wanting to get more experience in the gym, and the community at this gym pushes everyone to getting stronger

I had tried to lose weight since COVID and was 40 lbs overweight and losing mobility. I had gym anxiety and it was hard for me to leave the house but I really needed to get healthy. I am older and when I walked into Mission Fitness I was really nervous but trusted my trainer that this is the place to be. He was right. The staff here is amazing. The members are in my opinion very serious about their workouts and it is a welcoming environment. Sometimes I have an awkward time of it trying to adjust a machine and I am learning something new all of the time but the staff is always helpful. Thank you Devin, you have helped me out a few times and I appreciate it. I come here 4 days a week and I look forward to working out here. I am over having any type of anxiety and I have lost 20 lbs. This gym is great and I highly recommend it!

Staffs here are extremely friendly & knowledgeable. I really like the vibes inside the gym and joined the membership after my kick-start trial is over. I like that. There was only one coach, and I had no partner. The signs were abbreviated and gave no hint as to what each station was about. And the coach doesn't care at all about who you are or what state your body is in. When you tell them you can't do a certain exercise properly due to chronic conditions, and you need time they make you feel like crap. Sometimes I waited at a station the whole time because I couldn't remember what I was supposed to do there, but by the time a coach is able to help, time's already up. Also, the people attending are rude. They were in the hallway talking smack about how they hate new people. Any motivated to go was drained and to didn't go back to finish my trial. Getting motivated to work out is hard enough without the toxic environment and lack of support.

Finding a healthcare professional who truly changes your quality of life is rare, but D. Jeffrey Su…read morehas done exactly that. My partner initially sought his help to address a painful shoulder muscle tear, especially since he hadn't been exercising or going to the gym for a while. From the first appointment, it was clear that Dr. Su is both very patient and incredibly knowledgeable about the human body. He doesn't just focus on a quick fix; instead, he takes the time to help you understand exactly how to avoid and prevent future injuries. Dr. Su helped my partner define his long-term goals so that he's not just feeling better today, but fully prepared for his older years. They focused heavily on building back a solid foundation through correct posture and strengthening my partner's core. Dr. Su spent significant time correcting his basic movements to ensure he's exercising and lifting properly. Thanks to his guidance, my partner's been able to build his muscle back and feel confident returning to a regular fitness routine. He's now motivated to continue his exercises consistently, which is a huge win for his overall health. This is especially important now that my partner's in his 50's, as his priority is staying mobile to enjoy life and travel in the future. Dr. Su is exceptionally professional and consistently pleasant to work with throughout every session. His holistic approach to recovery and longevity is truly impressive and sets Dr. Su apart from others in his field. I cannot thank him enough for his dedication to his patients' recovery and long-term well being. We definitely recommend Dr. Su and his outstanding services to anyone looking for top-tier care!

I was referred to Dr. Jeffery Su by my partner, who found him via Yelp. I decided to go with Dr. Su…read moreafter researching all of my physical therapist options through my health insurance and found that they all had terrible Yelp reviews. The reason my partner liked Dr. Su was because he actually tries to help you without roping you into seeing him multiple times just to get money out of you, which I found to be very true - he was able to fix me in just 3 sessions. Paying the $165 per session out of pocket (still FSA/HSA eligible though), was well worth the money in my opinion because I was desperate to get better from my pickleball injury and get back to playing ASAP. Before coming to Dr. Su, I was trying to diagnose myself with ChatGPT and was following their prescribed regimen to heal myself. I wish I had gone to Dr. Su earlier because he was able to diagnose my issue in the first session and give me actionable strengthening exercises (he posts all the assigned exercises, with instructional videos, on the PtEverywhere App) to provide me with some immediate relief from the pain. Dr. Su said that I had strained my (sacrotuberous) ligament, which ChatGPT said would take 4-6 weeks to heal. After religiously doing my strengthening exercises for 4 weeks, I found that my pain was low enough to where Dr. Su approved my slow return to Pickleball and Aerial Silks (he's incredibly responsive via text). I found that as I would play, the same right side was continuing to give me trouble. So I went back to see him a 2nd time. At this session he was able to diagnose that my right hip was super tight and was impeding my recovery - he wasn't able to discover that during the first session because I was in so much pain that he was only focused on fixing that first. He used a strap to pull on my right hip to gain some mobility back, but it barely moved. The next couple of days I was incredibly sore but continued to religiously complete my newly assigned strengthening exercises along with foam rolling (if he forgets to posts the exercises on the app, just text him and he'll post them right away). Whatever he did to me, worked because by the 3rd day, my pain was gone! That along with the foam rolling was probably exactly what I needed too because I was able to easily move into my right front split without the tightness I had been experiencing for years! My follow-up appointment was a week and a half later with Dr. Su and I had no pain to report to him. He tested my right hip again and was able to finally get the head of my right femur to actually "bounce"/move normally during this 3rd session. He taught me some lifetime maintenance and strengthening exercises for my overall health and longevity for playing pickleball, which he posted on the app. He also sent me some links to adjustable home weights to help me save space in my apartment. I generally have trouble sticking to self-guided workouts but Dr. Su simplified them to just 25 minutes of exercises, twice a week. Hey - if that's all I need to keep playing pickleball without injury for the rest of my life, I'm sold. Sign me up!

The location is on the smaller side and they were really busy on the Friday evening I came. The locker room was on the smaller side. One of the faucets in the women's restrooms were broken. Speaking of broken, the first treadmill I stepped onto was broken too. I went to a different one and the digital display was distorted. Another machine I went on had the same issue. The cardio machines here also do not have the individual tv screens. The gym has a few large shared screens across the gym. I also feel like they don't have as many cleaning stations as other Planet Fitness locations. Also this location made it complicated to sign up for the black card perks, like my favorite hydromassage. To make it more disappointing, it only allowed for 5 minutes, unlike other locations that allow 10 minutes. When I arrived at the machine it already started before I pressed the button, so the disappointment continues. I would come back if I'm nearby and need to get in a workout, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come to this location.

I've now been training with Kiara for eight months, and the difference is undeniable. I've always been athletic, but I lacked proper form and structure. Kiara changed that completely. Her attention to detail, especially around form and safety, is next-level. She doesn't cut corners, and it shows in real results. As a postpartum mom of two back-to-back pregnancies, I came in needing more than just workouts--I needed guidance, accountability, and someone who understood how to rebuild strength the right way. Kiara delivered. I've not only returned to my pre-pregnancy weight, but I've also regained strength, confidence, and proper form that I never had before. What sets Kiara apart is her consistency and professionalism. She is communicative, highly motivating, and genuinely invested in her clients' progress. She shows up, follows through, and pushes you without compromising your safety. I highly recommend her to anyone serious about getting results and feeling confident in their body again.

I pay for the premium because I work in Boyle Heights but live in the South Bay so I like the option of going to multiple places depending on traffic and my mood. I also travel often and I have seen UFC in multiple countries and I'm excited to train in them. This location is new so of course the machines are well kept and fresh. For the love of g0d everyone, clean your stations! Every time I'm working out I do see cleaning staff vacuuming but you're responsible for the sweat dripping off (or not off) you. I'm the type of gym person who cleans the machine before and after use or even the slightest touch and I think that will keep the machines well kept. This UFC is HUMUNGOUS! Three stories with the top being cardio forwardp; the middle with the machines for legs, hiit, and arms, and ufc ring; the bottom having the punching bag room with classes with additional glute machines and free weights. While it could get crowded after 4pm, I didn't find it difficult to find an alternative machine to work on any workout. I do wish the machines were more strategically placed , ie., all the leg machines on one floor, all upperbody on another, etc. The facilities are absolutely clean and I love the option of the recovery room. Anything lower than 4 starts for this gym makes me question their gym experience,.
