I went in expecting a nightmarish move like our last experience (with another company), only to be surprised by how smoothly everything went in comparison to all our previous moves. The 3 man crew who completed our move were cordial, and were very careful and respectful of the furniture and properties. Their team leader was experienced and imparted some helpful advice on how to fix the legs of my old upright piano that had been damaged in a previous move. While this job certainly went overtime, the cost was reasonable for our shoestring budget. These young men worked hard, and my family and I really appreciate their efforts and due diligence. Booking them was a breeze. I just called, told them what I needed and when, and voila! the hunks showed up as scheduled! They were even able to accommodate some last minute requests I had to make. The "hunks" themselves were delightful: polite, efficient, hard-working young men who are a credit to their generation. Two of them loaded a pod with the belongings I wanted to take with me to Minnesota. Five of them came about a week later to clear out the things I wanted to donate or dispose of. I wish I had "before" photos of what my house looked like before College Hunks came in: messy, incredibly dusty bc of my admittedly poor housekeeping skills. Without a single complaint, they cleared away 4.5 truckloads of "stuff" in no time, and even swept the floors when they were done. I could tell they enjoyed and took pride in their work. Photos show the pristine condition of the house when they were done. Thank you, guys. BAD BUSINESS!!! My…read moresister Jennifer used College Hunks franchise from Allentown to move on July 28, 2025. They guys damaged furniture and broke keys off in the locks on her toolboxes. She confronted them on the day of the move and they acknowledged that they did this in error. My sister opened a claim to have them repair/replace the keys with a locksmith because she is unable to get to her tools. As a recent widow - hence the need to move - she was doing everything by herself. Now she needs to hang shelves and TV's in her new home without her husband and she can't get inside the toolboxes to use his tools. She has called this company every week since her move. The phone number they give is to a call center and not the franchise owner himself. They keep telling her that someone will call or email her from the franchise - but they never do. Today she called and was told by someone named Evita that her claim was denied. She called me crying. She said they denied her claim because the movers said she told them to leave the keys in the locks. Who in the world would tell the movers to leave keys in locks? She gave them the keys so that could lock the drawers of the toolboxes so that they would not fly open when they moved them. I called and spoke to Calvin who said that there is no resolution that he could see in his system, and the claim appears open on their end, but he did see a note that said Jennifer was told the claim was denied - but he didn't know why. He said he would escalate a message to the franchise, and they would respond via email. I asked Calvin for a phone number for the franchise and was told they did not have one - everything was done through messaging. On a side note, on the day of her move, I spoke to my sister several times. They moved a shed and placed it hanging off the edge of the concrete pad it was supposed to be centered on. She said she smelled marijuana and assumed the guys were smoking pot. She also said one of them inappropriately flirted and made remarks to her. Having recently become a widow, I can assure you that she did nothing to encourage that outrageous behavior. They also broke a lamp and hid it behind a stack of boxes that she didn't find until weeks later. It was also a costly move. My sister was charged much more than the quote she received. And now on top of that, she will need to pay for a locksmith herself. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I will be making several reviews and calling the Better Business Bureau if they do not reach out to my sister by end of the week to make this right.
