Contacted O'Connor and the manager was so rude. We had to buy a brand new mower. This was a few years ago so hopefully their service folks improved, and the manager actually provides customer service versus yelling about how his employee could never have made that mistake. I stuck my head outback and yelled "Hello" and got no response. I then went up to the front counter and asked if anybody was in the paint department that could help me? The guy at the main counter told me that the guy in the paint dept would be back in just a minute. I walked back over to the counter and again stood there for a minimum of ten minutes and again nobody came to help me. I again walked back to the main counter and again I politely told the same guy as before that nobody had come and that I needed help in the paint department. Again I was told that the paint dept guy would be right over because he had just stepped out back for a minute. I politely told him that he didn't just step out back for a minute because I have been standing over there for 20 minutes at this point but again I walked back to the paint counter stood there. After another 10 minutes past, I could not wait any longer and was pretty frustrated that I had been waiting for a half an hour and that nobody from the main counter did a single thing to try to locate the paint guy and they all were fully aware that I had been standing there for an excessive amount of time. I totally understand that small businesses get busy, but the store wasn't busy! I will go there again sometime in the near future and update this review because I'm hoping today was an oversight. There's no way customer should have to wait a half an hour and basically get brushed off when you asked for help!

A few weeks after I spread the mulch on my garden a healthy crop of oat grass sprouted where I had spread the mulch. Scott and team not only know this business they are committed to serving. I've shared earlier stories and here is another. This past weekend I brought in a pair of garden shears I thought I'd lost and it turned out I left them in the garden all fall and winter. They were rusted beyond recognition and I was so embarrassed to bring them to Scott to see what was possible. Scott smiled as I showed him my buried treasure and asked if I had a few minutes to wait. With that he disappeared into his workshop with the rusted shears. Not even 10 minutes later Scott reappears with an even bigger smile. The shears are good as new and we both wish we had a before picture ( see the after picture below). So there we have it friends. Another memorable moment in my Vanderhoof Hardware journey.
