The stores look manly, and employees of those types of stores usually give you a certain look if you are a young female. Like, "Don't come in the store and ask questions if you don't know what you are doing, we don't have time for your types." Not this store. All the staff there are friendly and helpful. They don't treat you badly because you are an amateur. More over, there are sometimes female employees there! The color specialist (who is not always there, she is there on Saturdays, and 2 other ways which I forget) is sooooo helpful and nice. And she knows what she is talking about, it's like you have your own HGTV's color specialist helping you. She is excited about colors and if you describe to her what you are going for, she imagines it with you and tells you, "oh then you'd love this white, it's warm but not yellowish!" The other guys that work there are your typical guys - service is adequate and a few of the criticisms that other reviewers left I can see a potential basis for. Meaning I get their point. They don't seem to be charmers by any means and if you're not assertive, I can visualize them getting lost in a conversation about a supermodel while a line backs up at the register (not that paint stores get many backups). Overall Benjamin Moore paint is excellent and my painters applied it beautifully to our house. People that walk by really like the colors and a recent unsolicited offer for my house based on the curb appeal (they didn't see the inside) is another testament to the look of a well done Benjamin Moore paint job. So I'd give Becky 4-5 stars for her eye and skill with the color palette - and the rest of the experience a 2.5

Out of nowhere, the employee began verbally berating me for letting my toddler make a mess and "be annoying." I was stunned. There was no chaos. There was no disruption. Just a bored little kid counting tape while we waited for service that never came. The tone was hostile, condescending, and completely unprovoked. If this is how they treat parents with well-behaved children, I can't imagine how they treat anyone else. At my brother's request he wanted a simple wake with minimal flowers but we wanted one for "Brother" and "Uncle". I explained I wanted something simple and more nature/natural than standard arrangements. My request was something I could look at and see same and/or similar flowers (think wildflowers) I would see on a walk. I also wanted it to be large enough without being gaudy and to make it something that would draw your eye to it and away from his simple pine box. Lucinda explained what she could offer and how it would be arranged and we talked about the pros and cons of keeping something like that fresh for the time we needed. I was not disappointed. The two arrangements were naturally colorful with an assortment of different types of flowers and displayed so beautifully. But what caused me to write this review is what happened at the cemetery. Almost immediately after they were put on the gravesite, bees began lilting on it, going from bud to bud. I felt that they were drawn to flowers that were not loaded up with chemicals to make them last longer and were obviously fresh enough that the bees found them tasty! it was a sight and more than a few people commented.
