Did I feel safe? Yes. However, the location felt eerily empty. I noticed perhaps two residents just resting, and I saw one staff member cleaning up the trash cans. What utilities? There's a well-maintained, big playground. There's a fenced section for the park's public exercise equipment. There's also MANY tables for gatherings. I especially appreciated how some tables were near a grill area. There's also a public restroom. What are the negatives? There is no walking trail. This is primarily a large, shaded grass spot to gather. Also, the location is fairly basic (ex: no tennis courts, no basketball courts, no baseball area, etc). The grass is also a little disheveled; it doesn't look recently mowed. And this place has no parking lot! Visitors must park on the street by the nearby neighborhood. Overall, I found unexpected comfort at Pioneer Park. It's spacious. It's also relaxing looking up at the tall trees and wonder about the history. This place felt.... nice to simply close your eyes and unwind. 4.4 out of 5

Only trouble here is there's a great deal of insects due to its proximity to the mountains. (Mainly just mosquitoes and biting gnats.) Beware of the occasional coyote at nighttime and drunk kids who like to stop to play the games located in the playground area (after 10pm.)

Families played soccer on the wide grassy fields or just enjoyed the playgrounds. What utilities? There's two playgrounds, volleyball area, one basketball court, grassy baseball area, painted handball wall, restroom, and plenty of tables. There's also a clear, dirt walking path with plenty of tall trees. And there's a pet waste plastic bag area. I also LOVE how there's a lion water fountain. What are the negatives? Gladstone Park's age felt a little noticeable. The worn down colors of certain areas look unattractive, and I dislike how the pathway is simply dirt. Overall, Gladstone Park is a great option for locals. It's spacious. The playground area is also fun enough for the younger ones. 4.6 out of 5

As if that wasn't bad enough it looks like they're doing some landscaping renovations and they've been spraying weed killer on weeds where kids probably play and or walk on. So the kids step on the weed killer then go and spread it around on the play grounds. Keep an eye out for the green tint on the floor where they are spraying the weeds, it's everywhere

It's a HUGE grassy area filled with local residents. I also noticed many joggers with their dogs. I also appreciated the installed lights. The location is also very clean. What utilities? This parked is unique because the playground is exemplary. The slides are HUGE! These are very tall slides; they're about five adults tall. The swings are safe for toddlers because they're shaped like carseats. And I noticed a miniature rock climbing wall for kids There's public park exercise machines spread throughout, and this location also has multiple water-fountains; they're installed with fountains for the dogs too. There's also several pet waste bag dispensers and trash cans. In addition, there's several public tables with shade spread throughout. There's also public restrooms, a HUGE grassy field, and cement walking paths. I also appreciated the bike rack areas. What are the negatives? It's a plain-looking park with almost no shade. There's barely any tall trees. It also has zero extra features (ex: no tennis courts, no baseball field, no basketball courts). This park is very bare minimum. Overall, I had an adequate experience. If planning to exercise here, I'd wait until the evening, or the sun will just burn your face. Still, it's a big, grassy area. If searching for a big, grassy spot, this is your place. 4.4 out of 5

The…read moreonly thing is that every time I walked, the dirt would fly off my shoes and the back of my leggings are dirty. The pebbles also fall into my shoes while walking that I had to stop by several times. Love seeing all the different types of plants too! Also there is private security driving around to make sure the place stays safe. The view it nice and the air feels clean because the area isn't congested with cars and traffic.

The park is clean, well-maintained. However, it also felt very empty since the park is BIG. This park sits by Hodge Elementary School. What utilities? There's two baseball fields, three tennis courts, one volleyball court with net, a park exercise equipment section, one basketball court, a horseshoe throwing section, frisbee golf course, two somewhat generic playgrounds, restroom area, and public table patios with a grill area. This park also claims to have a walking trail, but it felt like a winding concrete sidewalk that sort of looped. What are the negatives? The playground areas felt a little outdated and small. Also, the concrete "walking trail" is not comfortable. Shade is sparse, and the "walking trail" felt like an afterthought. The location is also very plain; it's not a gorgeous type of park with cute animals. Overall, Northside Park is a very good park because it has big value. This location offers many utilities, and it's a fantastic spot to host a fun event. If you enjoy tennis, baseball, or frisbee gold, this is a wonderful spot. 4.6 out of 5

It lacks certain utilities, but it has that rare public football field. I felt comfortable here. Did I feel safe? Yes. This felt very clean, welcoming, and family oriented. I noticed Little League Baseball and their family; I saw teenagers praying since their church is nearby; and I saw families just resting. What utilities? This location has two baseball fields, one football field, one concrete walking path, a refurbished playground that's firetruck themed, many tables (some with a gazebo roof), a restroom, water fountains, and a pet plastic bag waste dispenser. What are the negatives? There are no basketball courts, tennis courts, and other typical, extra utilities. The walking path is very distinct, but the path is concrete and shade can sometimes be sparse depending on the day. Overall, Cortez Park squeaks into the 5 Star Rating Spot because it felt very scenic. Out of the many parks that I've seen today, I found a scampering squirrel happily eating in her tree. This rolling hillsides and small statues make this park a bit more memorable. This park is a nice, lovely spot to wander under a cloudy, new day. 4.5 out of 5
