Your app changed my pickup address. Driver arrived at wrong address and left after wait time. When I tried to rebook the app more than doubled the cost of my trip. It took me three times to get the app to accept the proper address. Attempts to contact the Lyft customer service ended up in Hang-Ups redirect to non-existent websites and pages. LYFT BAIT AND SWITCH 12/09/2024 Driver's/LYFT's directions app was w-a-a-a-y off! Driven to two different *wrong* addresses, then driven *back* to *first* wrong address before the driver *finally* used *my* app to locate the *correct* address. *Then* the driver insisted on calling my cousin to be *guided in*! I was charged the *additional* cost for that wandering ride--plus the *additional* tip percentage I calculated from that--the entirety of which they refused to refund! I was *over* 1/2 an hour late for a 5:00-7:15 PM dinner with my cousin--whom I hadn't seen in *seven* years--before I had to leave for the airport. So I ended up being *charged* $41.65--to *waste* precious time and inflict added *stress*--on what was *supposed* to be a $22.97 fare! On *top* of which, I had to have my cousin's *wife* drive me on my return trip--to catch my plane, which they had already started boarding by the time I *ran* there--because my *return* LYFT driver *never found* the place at all, but charged *me* for that too! I mean who's the common denominator here? So for that "no-show/cancellation" fee--on *their* part--*I* was charged $10 to be credited toward my "next" ride; like there would ever *be* a next ride . . . with *LYFT*! Today I had a scheduled ride with Lyft. I made the schedule over 4 hours in advance. I placed the scheduled ride at 1 pm for 5:17 pm pickup. When the time came for my ride, it was accepted by someone who I believe was named Jesse? The ride was accepted and I waited 5 minutes past my scheduled pick up time. During that time, I sent 4 messages trying to get in contact with the driver.Then I called them at 5:22 pm and they said "Yea, I know you are waiting. I am just down the street getting gas." I explained that I was trying to get to work on time which was why I scheduled the ride in the first place. I informed the driver that "I need you to come get me asap." The driver then hung up without a word more and canceled the ride. This resulted in me being late to work. There is not a more direct way to complain about this driver since they canceled the ride, but it is situations like this that make me much more likely to use Uber. I would be happy to provide any information that could help you locate the driver, like location of pick up and drop off. read more

I ordered a Lyft from a driver named Muhammad and the gps was telling the driver to get into my place of business from the wrong direction. So I messaged him and told him you have to turn on a different street. He misses the street again and goes the wrong direction again and calls me telling me "FUCK YOU GO FUCK YOURSELF YOU TOLD ME TO GO THE WRONG WAY" I tried to tell him I was just trying to let him know the correct way to enter the business. He told me "FUCK YOU" one more time hung up and canceled my ride. I would have just let Lyft know on the app but they make it so difficult to give feedback from drivers that didn't accept your ride. read more

If there is a way to interact with a live customer service representative, it must be deeply hidden somewhere on the app! I had a problem that is not addressed in any of the options they provide. All the options send you to more options to visit places on the website. No option addressed the problem related to the recipient of a gift card not receiving it. I have used Lyft for about 3 years here in the Tucson area. It has been expensive but upfront with the pricing for the most part. On 5/27/23 I used Lyft to go to a hospital ER and it costed about $20 for a 20 minute ride there. On the way home later that evening I called for a ride home which took 22 minutes there and it cost $83 for the that cost me $20 coming there. That's right $83 total. I complained and support answered and said it was my mistake & basically SO SAD / TOO BAD can't help you. If and when you use Lyft pay attention to the estimate when u request the ride or you may end up paying 300 to 400% more than the usual cost. read more

Check your charges from Lyft. I booked a ride for $16.92 - 13 miles and they charged me $116.92 and they said it's the correct amount. I'll never book a ride for $116.92 if it's only 13 miles. There is no way to call them to dispute the charge. This is fraud. They'll only like you to go to their app and it won't lead you to anything. What a way to earn money. I'll report them to Better Business Bureau and I already called my bank. This is a pain to deal with this careless issues and I have been a loyal customer for 10 years because I don't drive. Tucson Lyft needs to do a better job as a company on hiring their drivers. If I can help it, I will not use them EVER again. Car went in for a repair at dealer, so called Lyft for a 7 1/2 mile trip to my Dental appointment with extra time to spare. Driver was suppose to pick me up, AP said they were right down road but they would be 5 minutes later. Than they canceled. Had to scrabble to acquire a different Lyft ride and was 30 minutes late to appointment. Which through off their schedule and I had to wait hour longer to see dentist. The second driver that did show up was fine, personable. Now the journey continues trying get a ride back to my car. First driver was 8 minutes away and no reason canceled. Scrambled to schedule a different one 4 minutes away, waited, and they were a no show. I'm normally pretty laid back but the lack of showing up is ridiculous. How do they do business this way? This jerk asked me if I had the right address put down I told him it was wrong that it was at 3525 not 3525 . He drove a little down the street told me he couldn't find it even though he had Google map on his phone. I told him don't worry I will find it even though it was an air bed and breakfast cottage I am staying at . He then drove around after he drove me off down the street like he was taunting me because I was lost ? Really nice customer service as well as stero typing single women who take this service. This company has earned my disdain! I have driven for a lift for over 4 years continuing a 5-star performance and given nearly 4,000 rides. Recently I was called to a grocery store where I found a large man in a large wheelchair. I had jumped out and popped the trunk before I realized he was handicapped with only one leg. He wield his grocery cart over and jumped into my back seat. Obviously I observed that I needed to load the groceries. So I did and as I moved his grocery cart away, I spied a large wheelchair behind it. Now I had to get this very heavy large wheelchair into my very small KIa trunk and was only able to with the assistance of a nice stranger. The man only lived 1.5 mi away and I delivered him got his massive wheelchair out of my trunk and helped him into it. I then asked what to do about the groceries and he replied to follow him to his apartment. I loaded up all groceries on my arms and hesitantly followed him into a complex to the first apartment. He then asked me to take groceries to his kitchen counter. I set them inside the door and thanked him for the ride. Later I contacted Lyft to let them know that his wheelchair had left huge black marks and a dent in the trunk liner of my brand new Kia. They said because I hadn't reported within the 2-hour window after his ride they could not do anything to help me. So for half an hour of my time, a backache, sore arms and damage to my new vehicle I earned $3.33. NO I would not recommend Lyft. read more

I left my phone in a Lyft a week ago. I called it less than 10 minutes later with no response. I have been emailing Lyft since, but they have been unable to contact the driver. Now, I have to report my phone as stolen since they hired someone who has either stolen my phone or at the least, doesn't care if I get it back. I am a college student with very little money, and this has impacted me greatly, but no one at Lyft seems to care. As other people have said, the vetting process for drivers must be near nonexistent if they can't even get their drivers to contact them back. read more

Public Buses are More Reliable I've been taking Lyft back and forth to work for the last week and a half. All was going well up till I thought I'd give the Wait and Save option a try, because it stated a 10min wait. It's now been around 45mins and the Pickup Window time keeps changing and getting farther and farther out. Waiting an hour isn't worth a mere $0.95 savings. And if I cancel the ride, then Lyft charges me a cancellation fee. However, Lyft winds up canceling the ride on me. So, I schedule another standard Lyft, and once again Lyft cancels the ride on me once again. Finally in desperation, I schedule another Lyft for a minimum futher time. After waiting 3 hrs, Lyft finally send a car for me. The biggest problem with Lyft and Uber is that there is no way to communicate with the company on the app, and no way to send them a complaint. read more

Huge debacle at Tucson airport at midnight. I was delayed a few minutes buy baggage. Just as I got the driver Lyft canceled the ride. I tried to call her and got through about 30% of the time the rest of the time it was busy. She tried contacting me and finally got through saying she had gone since Lyft canceled the ride. I don't think she got any of my texts either. I tried to order a new ride. It was stuck on the current ride, partially frozen. I asked some other Lyft drivers how to cancel the ride and they couldn't help me. I finally took a taxi and deleted the Lyft app. Spent quite a while on the Lyft website trying to figure out how to send them feedback. Maybe there's a way but it's buried so deep you can't find it. So my experience was that the app sucked. read more

Ticson, AZ. Tonight makes twice this week I called Lyft & they didn't show up. I was at airport tonight over an hour trying to get a ride. Found a taxi, gave up on Lyft. Earlier in week Lyft was supposed to pick me up at 5 a.m. I scheduled it the night before. Driver went somewhere else. 30 min early I get a text - "I'm at your door." He wasn't. No way to call or text him. Had to find another ride. Lyft is no good anymore. No way to talk to anyone. Lyft must hire people who have no idea how to get around Tucson. Unbelievable. I am thru with Lyft. Taxi was a bit more $ but zero hassle. Something has gone awry with Lyft which used to be convenient & reliable. No more. I wonder how long they can stay in business with such poor, unreliable service? I guess I'd still be at airport if I hadn't found a taxi...2+ hours later. Don't assume Lyft will be there for you. My driver was amazing. Really friendly. No complaints about the driver. My complaint is with customer service. It's been almost 2 weeks since my first Lyft ride and I had an issue using the coupon and was charged full price instead of the first ride free up to $25. My fare was $23. I immediately contacted customer service. No one got back to me in over a week. When they did they asked me for the coupon code I used. I gave it to them and still haven't heard back. First ride was 8/23, it's now 9/4 and still no resolution. Tip: when using your first time user code make sure the driver doesn't end the ride until after you enter it into the system or you will be charged. It wasn't the drivers fault. She was new and wasn't trained on how to enter a coupon code. I think they not only owe me my $23 back, without taking it back from the driver, but also should comp me another ride. There are choices like uber who are much more responsive I hear. read more

Had the worst Lyft experience ever tonight with Paul who drives a grey Honda Civic. My husband accidentally entered the wrong address and as we drove by the turn to our hotel, I pointed out politely that we missed the turn. Paul said something to the effect of "don't tell me honey, I've been here a hundred times". He repeated asked if we were going to "the hotel" and didn't seem to understand when we told him the name of our hotel. After driving like a maniac, he left us at the wrong place and said we could "figure it out." Fortunately the wrong hotel called the shuttle from the right hotel who came and picked us up. read more

I scheduled a ride 3 days in advance from Sierra Vista to the Tucson airport, to avoid driving, parking, etc. I used the advance scheduling feature on the Lyft app. (I have been using Lyft for a couple of years, so I am not new to this company/app). I received no notifications, no responses, and no ride. The car was supposed to show up between 5 and 5:15 AM. At 5:30, I loaded my baggage into my car and drove to the airport. After learning the hard way that Discount Cab or Total Transit charging 9$ just to get in the cab, my husband and I started using Lyft. We have never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to be picked up. The drivers are always polite and seeing that we are disabled they help us get the groceries upstairs for us. I use Uber often but decided to give Lyft a try. The driver was nice and polite, car smelled a little, but it was fine. Today I went to rate the ride and saw the $11.75 which is what it usually is, but then checked my bank statement and noticed $133.00 was taken out and is "pending". Why on earth would you need to take that much money out? They responded saying I will get credited, but I can't understand why they have to take so much money out to just credit it back days later? Not worth that hassle, no one likes an extra $133 charge on their bank statement. Won't be using Lyft again. read more

I had a terrible experience with a Lyft driver this afternoon. We got into the Lyft (there were 4 of us) and it was a fine ride. One of our passengers had too much to drink but napped the whole way home. Upon arrival, we get a call back into the lyft that we had "spilled" something. We had taken two (SEALED) to go boxes into the car and the driver claimed that we spilled them. 45 minutes later, we were literally on our hands and knees scrubbing his carpets because he threatened to charge us the $150 for draining his floors. One of our passengers was nice enough to ask if he needed any assistance cleaning other parts of his car, and he did not hesistate to give him the other mats that he felt needed "cleaning" I will NEVER use Lyft in the future and neither will anyone I talk to. Trust and Safety told me that privacy concerns prevented them from telling whether or not Nicholas was disciplined in any way. A Lyft driver told me to go to Pep Boys on Oracle to complain to one of the driver supervisors, which I did. He said he couldn't tell me whether any action had been taken re: Nicholas and gate me an email address for the legal department. I emailed them (from my law office account), but it bounced back. I then emailed several customer service executives from Lyft, and nobody responded to those emails either. All Lyft drivers are independent contractors, and apparently Lyft doesn't feel it has any responsibilities for them or to keep customers informed. Too bad--some of the drivers are wonderful, but this experience with the Lyft employees has left me cold. read more
