Saturday 10/11/2025 a Hello Yellow Cab (Cab 701 License Plate H6A 8H5) going down I-10 Tucson AZ break checked me from 70 MPH to a complete stop and blocked the right lane trying to push my truck in to traveling vehicles as well as the concrete highway divider all because I flashed my lights from behind while traveling in the far left lane. Hello Yellow Cab driver displayed complete lack of public safety not only towards myself but all vehicles in the area. Would not ever wish to be in a vehicle with this employee. What's really sad is the businesses Name and Phone Number are painted down the side of the vehicle right along side cab 701. Got to the cab rank at Tucson airport and Jesse gave me a ride to my hotel. Warm and friendly conversation. Then I scheduled a 10:00 pick up to get back to the airport, and the office set it up as 9:20. Well, no! I do expect people to put the info in the computer correctly. Both drivers were friendly people, careful on the road. But the office was lame. So really, one star for the office and five stars for my drivers. read more

The driver was absolutely insane and we were subjected to a lecture of current political events. We were never so glad to get back to the hotel as we did fear for our safety. i cannot say enough bad about this company ( NOT THE DRIVERS). i have medicaid, and i am provided medical rides though this, the company that has this contract is Yellow cab. i schedule rides at a minimum of 3 business days ahead of the appointments. EVERY SINGLE TIME these rides are a minimum of 1 hour late. these appointments are hard to schedule usually 4-12 weeks in advance and even harder to reschedule. I have complained and complained and complained with NO different result. They are of course willing to collect the money for the contract however they do not provide the service their contract calls for. give your money to a company that will at least care if you get to where you are going on time! i do not have a complaint against the drivers, the running of the company those in charge. those are the ones i am complaining about! read more

After multiple repeats of the address and requests for him to speak up and 10 frustrating minutes I gave up on this place. Yelp is great except for the fact you have to give at least one star. It pisses me off since I would give this crap business Zero stars. Last night was the last straw with this crap business. Cab 1343 showed up as we were walking to the cab he acted like he was going to take off. If my husband hadn't yelled he probably would have. He pulled up close to the pickup area of parking lot of the Walmart neighborhood market instead of where they normally do. I've put up with a lot from these rip off artists. Get in the cab one time $4.95 right off the bat. I'm like this is Yellow cab not VIP. There's also the time my husband and I waited for two hours for these idiots of which no one came to pick us up. It's always the same bs line we can't give you an estimate on when the cab will arrive. I guess transportation of the illegals who have come here is more important. Save yourself the grief, headache and hassle and just call VIP a bit pricey but at least you will have a cab there typically within 10-15mins. read more

Don't try to call for a cab. Yellow Cab lies about pick-up times over and over and leaves you waiting for nothing. They haven't even earned one star. I was going to be at the airport after the scheduled flights ended so I made sure to call before dropping off my rental car and ensure they were sending a cab. I was told it would be 20 minutes. Yellow Cab one of only 4 taxi companies contracted with the Tucson Airport. Since non-contracted cab companies are barred from picking up at the airport, Yellow Cab is supposed to have a cab available to send at all times (I learned this at the airport as I was waiting on them). An hour+ later and two times being assured a driver was on their way, I called a fourth time. I was then told there were no drivers available and no record of my calls were in the system (this was told to me by the same dispatcher, Tina, I had talked to on a previous call). The airport dispatch then called for me and were told it would be 20 minutes (the other 3 cab companies said 30-45 minutes). I wound up walking up to a hotel so I could use a non-contracted taxi service that was there within 5 minutes. I called to let airport dispatch I had a cab and was told that they had called to check on the taxi status and Yellow Cab informed them they couldn't in fact send anyone. Worst taxi company ever. I will go out of my way to avoid them in the future. read more

Last night was my birthday, and we decided on a cab for the evening. We called yellow cab from the first bar, and I was worried because everyone I talked to said they take forever to get where you are. But they were there within five minutes or so. The first cab driver was great and very nice, knew exactly where we were going and didn't take the long way around it. The second cab driver was there pretty quickly, and got us to our destinations in a timely fashion. They weren't really expensive, and I was glad to have a cab that night. read more

After reading all the advertisements on the Yellow Cab Web page, I find it extremely hard to believe that my recent experience was with the same company. BUT THE PHONE NUMBER IS THE SAME. Last Wednesday, on September 22, I was scheduled for triple by pass surgery at University Medical Center in Tucson, Az. at 10:30 am. Check in time was 8:30 am. My wife and I live in Three Points, Az. approximately 35 miles SW from Tucson. She has only started driving upon arrival in this country and prefers not to drive in town if at all possible. The forecast was for heavy rain most of the day, so the afternoon before I scheduled Yellow Cab to pick me up at 7:15 am to give me plenty of time for check in at the hospital. That Wednesday morning, 7:15 came and went. Just as I was going to call Yellow Cab at 7:25 the driver called. He said he was at Mission and Pima Mine Road, about 30 miles SE of Three Points at the northern end of Green Valley! He said it would take roughly 1/2 hour to get to me. I told him to stay on the line while I used my wife's cell phone to call Yellow Cab. A woman answered. I told her the situation and she answered "Well, that's where he is"! The following is an excerpt of the ensuing conversation: ME: How can he be there when he's supposed to be here picking me up for surgery? SHE: He just took the call a few minutes ago. ME: I called for this pickup yesterday afternoon. SHE: Our drivers get to choose their calls! ME: Can you see if there is another driver closer in the area? SHE: I can't radio the drivers. They have to call in. At this point I was absolutely speechless. Thirty five years ago I was an office manager for a taxi company and this kind of irresponsible behavior was unheard of from the owner right down to the driver. I told my wife to get dressed, that I was going to drive the car in and she could just stay in the slow lane till she got home. I was at the airport and needed to get to the shuttle. I jumped in the cab and it was smooth until I told him to drop me off at the shuttle. The driver began cursing at me. Telling me it took him an hour to get to the line and that my 10 dollar trip wouldn't make up for his time. The dude stated cursing in Spanish, He than pull into the AM/PM and told me and my wife to get off. I had to walk to my destination. Very poor and unprofessional service. We have several elder residents that rely on cab services to get to their doctor's appointments. This service is ALWAYS late and they miss their appointments (due to being over 15 minutes late, doctor's cancels). This is very upsetting to our residents as well as our staff. My insurance company arranged a ride with Yellow Cab to and from the hospital for a very important outpatient heart procedure. I would not be allowed to drive after the procedure. I had notified my insurance company three days in advance. The cab arrived an hour and 10 minutes later than the scheduled pickup time.
