Lost items when leave something in an uber I believe more could be done to get that item especially if it's keys or a phone back in a timely manner. Right now I'm being told it could take weeks to get my phone back. That really seems like the company is more concerned about drivers and making money than the customer, which the reason you have a company without us you don't have a company. Please be careful don't leave anything in an uber because you will probably not ever see it again. I called Uber last night for a ride from ER at St. Joseph's in Tucson around 8:15 pm. I got the text that driver "licardy " was on their way. I waited 20 minutes. I then got a text that " unfortunately your driver had to cancel your ride". He canceled it. I then got a text that I was charged $12.50 for canceling my call. Uber took payment from my account. So, this is basically theft. It's also fraudulent. Therefore I do not and will not trust Uber ever again. And, I will go out of my way to disparage and discourage anyone from using Uber read more

Generally have fairly good experience with Uber. Last night in Tucson, AZ was the exception. Arranged a pickup ffom the University district to a restaurant a few miles away. Picked up by " Corsair " in a white Mazda. When he picked us up the trunk mounted bass speakers were turned up so loud you could hear and feel the vibration. Figured he'd turn it down when we got in the car cut he didn't. I like music but this was " Gangster Rap " with lyrics any rational person would consider highly offensive with constant repitition of the n word and f word. The volume was so loud that the trunk mounted speakers vibrated the back seat. Riding with him was a nail biter. Drove very fast on residential streets. We rated him 1 star and wrote a critique using Ubers marginally effective system. Then we looked at this guys Uber profile. Basically stated he liked his music and didn't care about " overbearen Karens "!!!!!! Unbelievable as this person is supposed to be providing a service. The driver said I had to get back out and get in the other seat because "it's his car and his rules". He then refused to do the job he was hired to do unless I moved. On June 1, 2024, I got off the Amtrak train from Ontario, CA to Benson, AZ. Hanna was the Uber driver that met me at the Benson AZ train station. She was very courteous, polite, and made cordial conversation as we drove to my residence in Willcox AZ. This helped pass the time as the scenery along the highway is very drab and boring. I spent 45 minutes trying to set up an account so I could get a ride. This was my first go at using uber so I was making mistakes. Did uber give me the opportunity to back up and correct the mistake, No! I had to start all over again and every time I started over the price of the ride went up with a lame excuse about demand. (Tucson airport was not any near busy when I arrived) The first price was $12, the second was $16, the third was $18 and the last one was $32. That is $10 over a cab, which I ended up taking. Arranged for a simple pickup. The app showed the wrong street where I was waiting so I added the address which was just around the corner. Accidentally, I entered a number to the driver that was four houses down and then corrected it by texting the driver. He replied "Got it!" and many minutes later asked where I was. I don't know where he ended up but he did not show up on the small street where I was waiting. His name is Seid who was rude, unprofessional and angry and he cancelled the pickup while charging me $5.50 for the cancellation dishonestly saying that I cancelled it!! Well, the jury's out whether "I'm a fan" or not. This was my first experience. Glad I had a first-time ride promo of $15 off to try it. The app was effective, showing graphically on a map the location of your driver and tracking him as well as giving the approximate arrival time. In my case, after requesting the ride, he arrived in 10 minutes. The car had a clean exterior and a clean interior, though the interior I would give a 4 out 5 stars. It definitely did not have the cleanliness of a professional cab here in town. The driver I would give a 3 or 4 out of 5 stars. He was certainly friendly and punctual. He took me home using the route I suggested that I knew would be the most efficient. I just didn't appreciate the occasional "colorful" words with which he used to inject into his conversation. He also had a very slight body odor, I'm sorry to say. He had Spotify playing, which normally would be OK, but I just didn't care for the mix. Some of the songs were offensive and he did change the track when I mentioned something. But I don't think music is necessary for a cab ride. If so, then ask the customer for a specific playlist. It was a 16 mile trip, 35 minutes at a cost of $22.80. Not bad. With my $15 discount it was $7.80. However, I do remember taking a Discount Cab for a 12 mile, 24 minute trip for about $25. Not sure how much of a bargain Uber really is. Would I recommend it? Not sure. Also not sure about insurance indemnity issues and so forth using Uber and Lyft. Will have to research that. read more

Myguerson or Mike, DWA44K, Honda, is a driver we had Dec 17. We left a wheelchair cushion in the trunk and contacted him repeatedly through the app for days trying to meet up with him and offering him a monetary reward. He never got back to us. I followed up and Uber did nothing about it until Jan 15 when I told Uber our property was stolen because I know for certain we left it in the trunk. I also told Uber we made repeated attempts through the app and he never contacted us. When Uber contacted Myguerson he said the item is not in his car. Maybe he should have contacted us right away, the same night we realized it WAS in his trunk! Do not ever accept a ride from Myguerson. The one and only time I leave something and Uber tells me to make a police report. I find it acceptable that the driver never contacted us. read more

It Just Isn't Worth It!!!!! I've used Uber several times, but never again. A coworker and I needed a ride. So I pulled up the Uber app on my phone. I put in the pickup and dtop off information. That app showed.a price of $11 - 13 for the trip. So, I schedule the ride. We got picked up and dropped off. After the drop off, I got a notice from my bank that Uber had just charged me $21 for the trip we just took. What happened to the $11 - 13 we were quoted when I scheduled the ride. And just like with Lyft, the Uber app doesn't give you the option to lodge a formal and detailed complaint. Bottom line, this was the absolute last time Uber will ever get a penny from me. read more

I had a horrible experience with Uber Tucson and will never give them another dime. I only give them the one star because someone did eventually show up. A few days before my February 14th travel date, I scheduled a ride with an Uber driver. It said I was good to go and the driver would be at my home at 5:30am no later than 5:45am. At 5:45am the driver had still not shown up and there was no notice they were coming. I called for another Uber in a panic. I was now running late for our flight... This driver did show up in about 15 min. Robert did not bother to get out of his Dodge Dakota truck to assist with my bags, so I drug them over to the back of his truck. He has a topper on the bed and it has a glass hatch. I couldn't get the hatch open so I went to the window and asked for help. He begrudgingly gets out and opens the hatch.The bed of his truck was filthy. There was all kinds of trash back there. I didn't even want to put my bags back there it was so nasty. I had to because we still had to pick up my business partner and needed space for his bags as well. Then I get inside the backseat and am slapped in the face by the stench of cigarettes. I am extremely allergic to nicotine and avoid people who smoke like the plague. I am also a throat cancer survivor who never touched a cigarette... My oncologist thinks second hand smoke was more than likely the cause... I avoid it in hopes to not re-trigger my cancer. I have had three rounds now. I could use a break... If had had time to wait for another driver, I would've gotten out and called for another driver. Because the first driver didn't show timely, I had no time to call for another. Now keep in mind, before I ever took the first Uber I reached out to them about my allergy because of the severity and they assured me that all of their cars were smoke free. If they had said not all of them were, I would NEVER have used them. I told Robert that Uber had assured me that all were clean and smoke free. He said most were but not all. My head shut down nearly immediately. Instant headache. My eyes were on fire. I felt nauseous and started having trouble breathing. I live about 40 minutes from the airport and we still had to pick up my partner... It was the longest drive I ever had to suffer through... Then I had to smell the stench in my clothes and hair until I reached my hotel late Wednesday night. Thanks Robert. I rolled the window down to get some fresh air. It was really cold out. I had to make the decision to freeze or breathe. I chose breathing. I was sick as a dog for the entire trip. It ruined my entire trip. I still have the headache and my eyes have still not recovered. I got in late last night but didn't dare take an Uber... I had to inconvenience a friend to get home. I filed a Complaint with Uber and asked for a refund. They were completely unconcerned with the horrible service I had experienced and offered me a whole $5 credit on my next ride to make up for their driver making me sick and ruining my trip for, at this point, five days. I told them that was not acceptable and they replied that was all they were going to do. After using Uber for several days on a trip with friends, I came home late on a Sunday night from Tucson Airport. I chose the price given me on my phone $52.00 high but did not have a choice. I tip the driver. The next day I have a new Charge of 71.00 on my account. I send a message through Uber but of course nothing is done. They charge me $20 more and then do nothing. When you are quoted a price that is the price you should pay not a new price they decide to add later. I love Uber, don't stone me for saying so. But I love the personal feeling of having your own driver, and every car I have been has been clean and never once have I felt unsafe. I was in Tucson for the weekend working an event, so I didn't have my car, and wanted to visit some friends on my down time, thanks to Uber I was able to get around no problem! Love that its so easy to use. Ordered my car and it arrived in less than 5 minutes. Like that you can see who your driver will be and what type of car they have. Uber is a fantastic service and a well known brand. The issue I have is that people are told, upfront, that tips are not required and to most that means, "Don't Tip". And, they don't. The drivers work hard to give passengers a great ride and have to put up with a lot. A way to tip would be a great add, and get rid of that statement. While the driver was prompt, friendly my review is not about him but rather the billing practices. I gave the driver 5 stars and added a tip via smart Phone app. The receipt I received via email did not reflect the tip and also had a prompt to give a tip. Thinking perhaps the app didn't work correctly and not wishing to slight the driver I used the option on the email receipt to make a tip. To my surprise I shortly received an additional email receipt that had BOTH tips now on it where there had been none! The 2 tips together were more than the charge for the ride!! I asked Uber for a credit back to my card but they instead issued me a credit for a future ride. I have no idea when and if I will ride with them again so I have basically lost my money to them. I feel it was misleading to issue a receipt that did not show the tip I had already made and prompting me to add a tip as though I had not already done so. This was my first Uber experience. I needed to drop off my car for maintenance and didn't want to drag anyone away from their work day to ferry me back home. After reading of such ghastly ordeals with the local cab companies, I downloaded the app and scheduled my first ride. It was so easy. Donald was my driver. It's very nice to know who is showing up and when. His car was clean and comfortable (for a Prius). He picked me up within 10 minutes of scheduling the ride. Tracking his approach on the Uber app was great. Paying and tipping was fast and simple with Apple Pay. All in all, a very good experience. read more

I put this as a thank you note on my driver's page {Over all was good, Im sure it was in a joking manner but Justin stated "I don't get paid to wait around..." I have a family member that works for Uber, so I know very well that statement is false. Uber divers make 10 cents a min to wait for their passengers. That's more then 4.5% (as of Dec 2017) of people in Arizona make (unemployment percentage). Which is only .4% more then the percentage of the unemployed in America (4.1% as of Dec 2017). I understand that's only $1 an hour, The Uber company takes only $5 a ride the driver keeps the rest (the total of my ride was $12) you can figure out the percentage of rides (my guess 70%PER RIDE [i wish I can be an Uber driver :( but I can't]). I would over all give him 3-4 stars but had to give 5 to leave my comment.} just making sure people know and that it's posted for everyone to see. Absolutely the worst experience EVER. I set up app and tried to order pickup for 3 days from now. It set through a pick up for immediately. No way to cancel. No way to contact UBER. Driver got to my house 2 minutes later. I appologized for UBER's app mess up and sent him away. Got charged $5 because the UBER app didn't work right. Uber has no customer service AT ALL.
