This review is based solely on my experience with the staff during my visit today…read more I've shopped at Pink Box multiple times in the past and have never had any issues, which is why this experience was disappointing. My mom and I stopped in because she was looking for earrings. She had mentioned before that Pink Box has cute selections at reasonable prices, so we decided to browse. While she was looking at earrings and pointing out styles she liked, I was helping her look through them. For context, I don't even wear earrings since I have large gauges, so I wasn't shopping for myself in that section. Afterward, I moved over to the claw clips and was looking through some butterfly clips to see if they came in matching colors. A sales associate approached us and asked if we needed help. We politely said no thank you and continued browsing. What made us uncomfortable was that after that interaction, the employee remained very close to us and appeared to be watching us the entire time. When we moved to a different area, she followed. Whether intentional or not, it felt as though we were being monitored because she suspected we might steal something. My mom and I both noticed it, and it made the shopping experience uncomfortable. We are paying customers who have visited this store before and have never given anyone a reason to be suspicious of us. I understand that retail employees have a job to do, but there is a difference between being attentive and making customers feel like they're under surveillance. Unfortunately, because of that experience, we didn't feel welcome during our visit.

My friend purchased a set of plastic flower beads to string together to make a necklace. What caught my eye that I really wanted was the sunrise shell necklace. I've always wanted one. The shell has the pink and yellow colors on it to mimic the sunrise. I'm contemplating on getting it as I've wanted one for a while.

I went in and out of the dressing rooms a few times while trying on outfits, and none of them had a basket or spot for purses. Each time I had to hang my handbag on a hanger with the clothes, since I refuse to put my handbag on the dirty ground. Finally, the very last dressing room I tried did have a basket at the bottom, which was much better. The clothing and jewelry are adorable -- some even look handmade -- and I did buy a few outfits and a cute pair of earrings. Prices are on the higher side, but the pieces are unique and eye-catching, so if you're looking for something different, it might be worth it. Unfortunately, checkout brought the experience down. Since I didn't need a bag, the sales associate handed me my clothes directly, but forgot my earrings. I didn't notice until I was halfway home. I tried looking everywhere for a phone number -- Yelp, the Ala Moana directory, the internet -- and couldn't find one. The only number I found just rang with no answer. So instead of calling, I had no choice but to drive all the way back through traffic. When I arrived, the sales associate saw me, handed me the earring, and said she was "going to text me." No apology, no "sorry for the inconvenience" -- nothing. Considering they have my number from the rewards program sign-up, that was disappointing. Overall, Sugar Sugar is a cute boutique with stylish pieces, but expect boutique pricing and limited dressing room amenities. The service could use improvement, especially when mistakes happen.

Definitely worth a stop if you're into kawaii, Japanese goodies and stationery, but also could be worth being aware of which characters are currently featured. A lot of the items, such as their various stickers, are reasonably and fairly priced -- more so than other similar shops. Vivid print quality too. Other items were tad too pricey for me to justify (e.g. $8 for a very tiny thin canvas drawstring bag and other small pouches in the $30+ range).

It's amazing what a year did to CocoNene as I remember that this was a slipper store with some build your own decor items which now has focused on just the decor items exclusively and what a beautiful direction they've gone to. Located in Ala Moana Center Street Level near Centerstage if the storefront hasn't captured your attention what they have here certainly will. Fun is what you'll find especially if you're local the humor is definitely there as "On Island time" is their clock where you can turn a simple wall clock with adding a pendulum is the cutest idea along with their Longboard Letter by filling in the gaps with various items that represents the moment and is very interchangeable so nothing is set and permanent is a bit how we live with each new day. "'Opihi Stickers" lol!! Aahhh the creativity of it all as you choose what you want to stick on your surfboard and they do have a bunch to choose from along with picture frames and ornaments there's so much to choose though it all can add up as each item are individually priced here and it's all fun and vibrant that will make anyone smile and the staff here is wonderful to help you with any questions. The person at the register, an older gentleman, spent a considerable amount of time with a Japanese couple, purchasing items. He wrapped, taped, and carefully put items in a bag for them, and handed them their purchase. My turn, maybe it's because I'm in my tshirt and shorts, just a local ol' lady. He rings me up, tapes the plastic bag the item comes in off the shelf, and hands it to me. I didn't get asked if I needed a bag, as it is a gift I'm taking to Japan. I ask if he has a bag of sorts I can put that in? He asks, "such as?". I say, a small bag of sorts? He says, "well we have this brown paper bag, if you want?". Picks up a brown bag from behind the counter. I was done. I said no thanks. And walked away. Why such a difference in service? Maybe I needed to dress better, I'm not sure. I was a bit offended. Products are super cute, this was only my second time here.. I guess it'll be my last as well. So sad. By the way, my husband and I went to Kahala store yesterday, we bought something there. We thought the service was wonderful, the lady helping us was welcoming and helpful. Ala Moana, felt a bit discriminating.

Told them I had a collection at home to bring back. They took my jewelry. Explained they'd keep my items for 3 months and return any unsold items at end of period. It hasn't been a full 3 months but I stopped by to check on status of my sales They gave me a nice check for items sold to date. Was pleased with the progress will collect my unsold items in April and supply them with new items to be consigned.

Okay - let's take a look at Aloha Charms! I read the reviews, but wasn't prepared for ALL of the merchandise that they have! Besides outfits, shoes, glasses, accessories, and hats for your Labubu, they also have decals and Create Your Own Pen Charms! There's so many cute things - plushies and Sanrio merchandise included! I look at the Clearance items and specials. Sometimes, I can get ten items for $10. The Ala Moana location had a Buy 3, Get 2 free sale happening. I didn't really find anything on this visit. Even though the company filed for bankruptcy, the Hawaii locations are not closing - as far as I know.
