All things kawaii... Claire's is the place for all things accessories, personal need head to toes...hair clips, totes, and decor galore a dangerous place to shop as they always have great deal to purchase multiple items for the discounted prices. They always have the latest trend and seasonal items right at the front weather it's Barbie, Sanrio or the impressive choices of Squishmellow plushies has seem to exploded here. It's been decades since I've gotten my ears pierced and they do have that service done here and have seen many take that leap to get it done and since my piercing have partially closed up I've always wondered if I have the courage to redo that one day as the staff here are just always so helpful and friendly. I've come here to see their phone cases as I got my new phone though was sad to see they don't have it yet but did walk away with some Halloween goodies. Thank you!

Felt thrilled when I learned that Ala Moana Center have Claire's location. A bit cheap, cute stuffs & extensive choices of jewelries. But they are the opposite of the Kahala location when it comes to customer service. The girls working here don't give a crap 'bout you. Everytime I come here they just stare on me. No smile just plain poker faces. But still keep coming back - location wise. Also because I love spoiling my younger sisters with cheap cute stuffs while they haven't ask something like Victoria Secret or Vans. LoL. I hope they are more friendly in here. I hope that they'll put Aloha on their job coz it should be like that. But for the mean time, as long as my younger sisters are willing to receive gifts from here I will keep stepping in this location and just ignore those poker faces girls and make sure to get the things I need to wrap. Mahalo for reading & happy juandering fellow Yeeps.

I came here to pierce my 3 yo daughter's ears. We lucked out and got Ezzie, she was so friendly and helpful. She recommended earrings for our little one and made the whole experience so pleasant and easy. We had her mark my kid's ears twice to ensure it was straight and she didnt mind at all. I highly recommend requesting Ezzie for piercing your child's ears. We encountered a couple other employees who weren't so friendly, but I'm sure it gets stressful there since it's so busy at ala moana. Thanks Ezzie!

Halloween merchandise are marked down at 75% off. There are earrings, costume accessories, stuffed animals, ty beanies, and surprise toy in an egg. I bought a stuffed unicorn that was priced at $19.99 but went down to $5.00. Whe you press the paw, unicorn dances to sing "I Love Candy".

Cutesy store for the littles, even something that might catch the eye of some fun adults! Jewelry, hair accessories, ear piercing and body jewelry, room decor, school supplies, toys, gadgets... literally the list goes on and on. My daughter always needs to stop by and trust, she can always find something to buy! If she doesn't have her own money, I have to remind her that we're just LOOKING! I do appreciate the frequent sales that goes on throughout the store but honestly it's marketed for more spending... buy 3 get 3 free. Who can find 6 items that are all similar priced and inexpensive? And an hour later you're walking out with 12 items and about $75 out of pocket! What girl can have enough accessories? Located on the 3rd floor near HIC. It's a small shop but definitely bigger and roomier than the Pearlridge location.

My daughters LOVE Claire's. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. X1000000 It's buy three, get three free, which of course drives you to buy more unnecessary plastic jewelry, unicorn headbands and sparkly decorated pillows. But you can never have enough glitter nail polish, best friend necklaces or sequin diaries when you're an elementary school girl! This past weekend my daughter wanted a necklace and insisted we go to Claire's. We walked around and I suggested we go to Forever 21 because I felt the prices were cheaper. We walked to Forever 21 and my 7-year old announced to me, "Mommy, Forever 21 is NOT cool. Let's go back to Claire's." I have never felt so old and out of touch in my entire life. If you have a little girl in your life, CLAIRE'S IS LIFE. It's all she wants, it's all she needs, and just be happy she's not yet Forever 21.

The whole store is made up of Hawaiian themed merchandise. There were jewelry, cards, body care items and tons of clothes. They have some really cute items. My friend purchased a set of plastic flower beads to string together to make a necklace. What caught my eye that I really wanted was the sunrise shell necklace. I've always wanted one. The shell has the pink and yellow colors on it to mimic the sunrise. I'm contemplating on getting it as I've wanted one for a while.

I went in and out of the dressing rooms a few times while trying on outfits, and none of them had a basket or spot for purses. Each time I had to hang my handbag on a hanger with the clothes, since I refuse to put my handbag on the dirty ground. Finally, the very last dressing room I tried did have a basket at the bottom, which was much better. The clothing and jewelry are adorable -- some even look handmade -- and I did buy a few outfits and a cute pair of earrings. Prices are on the higher side, but the pieces are unique and eye-catching, so if you're looking for something different, it might be worth it. Unfortunately, checkout brought the experience down. Since I didn't need a bag, the sales associate handed me my clothes directly, but forgot my earrings. I didn't notice until I was halfway home. I tried looking everywhere for a phone number -- Yelp, the Ala Moana directory, the internet -- and couldn't find one. The only number I found just rang with no answer. So instead of calling, I had no choice but to drive all the way back through traffic. When I arrived, the sales associate saw me, handed me the earring, and said she was "going to text me." No apology, no "sorry for the inconvenience" -- nothing. Considering they have my number from the rewards program sign-up, that was disappointing. Overall, Sugar Sugar is a cute boutique with stylish pieces, but expect boutique pricing and limited dressing room amenities. The service could use improvement, especially when mistakes happen.

Shopping in Chinatown, Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. My mom was on the hunt for Year of the Dragon shirts for my sister in Colorado, my nephew, and my nieces. We went to Walmart, Don Quijote, Dillingham Shirt Outlet, and Maunakea Street in Chinatown. She found shirts at Jessica's Jewelryand Gifts, but she didn't get a shirt for my nephew's girlfriend. In a panic, mom called me to go back to Jessica's. They were sold out. Only XL gray shirts were left. I entered Maunakea Marketplace, where I had dropped her off the other day, but she didn't walk far enough in... to get to YaFangShi Fashion. On the day before Lunar New Year, I saw many shirts of various colors and different designs hanging outside a shop! Inside, the clothes were neatly folded, and the dresses were hanging for better viewing. OMG... It was like t-shirt heaven! The shop was called YaFangShi Fashion. The friendly owner introduced herself and said that her name was Lian and that she's been here for 24 years! I had passed by often... and even bought a lavender-colored Cony umbrella, but didn't know the name of the shop. Looking around, Lian even had dresses, tops, jackets, footwear, accessories, and pants! I got a navy blue, medium-sized Year of the Dragon shirt for my nephew's girlfriend and gave it to mom to give to her on Lunar New Year. Everyone was happy! Yay! Happy Lunar New Year of the Wood Dragon!
