I was very leery about coming here because of all the reviews. I did try and go to a couple of places on Sunday, alot of places were closed, or when I walked in they were full, and didn't even acknowledge me, but they acknowledged someone that came in after me. So I gave this place a chance. I only get a pedicure, I really never have any issue with a simple pedicure. They acknowledged me as soon as I walked in. I picked my color and the young lady had me take a seat in the chair immediately. I don't like people to touch my feet. So I gave her instructions not to grab my feet, I don't do the scrub or the massage. I'm not sure if she understood, she sent someone else over to me. I explained to the other lady, my instructions. I'm super simple! Same amount of money for them, less time spent. She almost grabbed my feet a couple of times, I had to remind her, not to touch. lol Other than that, I have no complaints. BEWARE!! This is the absolute worst nail salon on the Northside of Jacksonville I've ever been to. To start, they have the windows covered so you are unable to see inside the "salon" and once in you can't see outside. I was greeted when I walked in and asked to sign in and wait. When I asked about the bathroom the lady acted as though she didn't want to tell me. I asked how long the wait would be she gave a bit of an attitude when answering. There were about 10 techs in the salon and only 2 doing manicures! This caused a wait time. I was sat with nail tech Jay. He had a very cold and rude demeanor about himself. I could tell he didn't want to be there. I shared it was my first time there he didn't offer a price list nor respond. I asked about certain colors he couldn't be bothered to answer. I do want to mention here that language was NOT a barrier. He was just plain blunt and borderline rude. He didn't help me with color questions or suggest something for me. When I asked about seeing a few different colors because the lighting at the station was horrible he took issue with that seemingly. As he was polishing my nails I asked that he polish the entire nail down to the cuticle to which he responded "that's not down to the cuticle?" I also want to add here that I had colored acrylic powder when I came in and he didn't even ask or attempt to look for the color match just proceeded to give me clear powder. When asking about prices he didn't know so he had to go ask someone I assume. The end result of my nails were HIDEOUS at best. The shaping is horrid. The paint job looks mediocre and I left the salon having wasted every dollar that I shouldn't even have spent. Of course, I did not leave a tip which is unheard of for me because I always tip. I wouldn't recommend this ZERO STAR salon to anyone. If you need a nail salon and this is your only option? do it yourself. Save your money. read more

I absolutely can not understand how this place is still up and running. I knew they had HORRIBLE reviews but I still decided to give it a try. I noticed a woman getting a pedicure kindly asking this male nail technician something and he literally just screamed and yelled "GET OUT OF MY CHAIR!" The MOST AWFUL EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD! I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! I chose the most expensive pedicure and have had hundreds throughout my life, and I've never dealt with such INCOMPETENCE! He used all the scrub on my feet and I asked him, POLITELY, what about my legs, he said that he do them, then began applying the MASK! Again, I asked for the scrub and he LIED and said he did it! When I tried to tell the owners they were so nasty about it, and even when I asked him to review the security camera and they'd see he didn't do it, they REFUSED! Then, he quit, he threw his towel down and walked off while I still had stuff all over me. Ok so. I have gone here before and went to Steven , sadly he is no longer here. He made my nails look amazing each time. Today I got my toes and nails. My toes are AMAZING! My nails well that's another story. It was a huge issue to get what I was asking for (which was just a thick French ). Needless to say after me repeatedly having to ask for corrections someone else came to do the tip. At this point I'm fine. But Forgot to mention some worker came rushing the amazing guy doing my toes and then took over bc the women felt he was too slow. I paid to have my nails done at this establishment. The nail tech that started them didn't know what she was doing and so the manager took over doing my nails. It took the manager 3 hours to correct the 1 hour of mistakes the first woman did. My nails started lifting and cracked at the base after having them for only three days. I told the manager they weren't right and that I'd have to come back to get them fixed because I was going out of town. Well when I came back for my schedule appointment to get them fixed she decided that she was not going to. I attempted to speak with the owner 7 time and was refused. I came in today for a fill and 2 of my nails were broken. They had me stand and wait about 15 mins before being serviced. I told the guy doing my nails exactly what I did not want. He kept getting an attitude whenever I told him they weren't right, crooked, etc. Even after he finished the polish was OVER my cuticles. Looks like a 5 year old polished my nails and the 2 that were broken, he packed on so much acrylic they looked TERRIBLE. Then he charged me $55 for a fill. The service was horrible, I had a 30 minute wait WITH an appointment. Even after 3 tries my nails are still misshapen, my fingers were cut (which they didn't even apologize for) and they even messed up a simple polish change. It was streaky and uneven so I had it taken off and they still tried to charge me for it. They were rude when I brought the mistakes to their attention, when they should've caught them on their own. It has been over an hour so far and I have yet to be seen for an eye brow waxing. I was acknowledged once. This 'spa' does not utilize time management and take smaller services, like waxing, in between full services, such as acrylic tips. Nope. I have to sit here and watch 3-5 women receive complete manicures before there is availability for a small waxing. I did not make an appointment and this is my first experience. Perhaps the appointment is key. Either rate, the wait time is absolutely ridiculous. Since I've ruined the plans for my evening so far, I am continuing to wait out of sheer morbid curiosity for the final results. This better be the best eye brow waxing in history. 2 hours total wait time. Nothing special. Staff are nice once it's 1:1, but still not worth the entire evening, from my perspective. read more

I went there for a pedicure a few months back (I just got around to doing a review), and I wasn't disappointed with the service. My tech was nice and neat, took out sterile tools, and really took care of my feet and toes. Massage is my favorite part and that was great. My only complaint was the crowd of people in there. It was a Saturday afternoon, and it was pretty busy, something they can't control and something they need to stay in business (duh!). The male technician who did my pedicure was very nice to me and my daughter how ever the male technician who did my nails was very rude and nasty!!!! To start with, they did not greet me or anyone else when we came in. There was a male nail manicure Technician who gave me a full set and was really rude. I mean he was really nasty! All the other guests were sitting in there looking at him like he was crazy and really messed up for talking to me like I was a child. He was mad because our daughter was there in the waiting area with my husband and because I accidentally brushed my nail against my dress and asked him to repaint it. I was going to tip him extra more money because of it but then he blew up at me and told me he had a problem with me bringing my daughter who was with my husband up there. She was not even doing anything. My husband had her walking with him outside while they waiting on me so that she would not be distracting. But she is 16 months old I mean what is she really going to do. Plus we were were watching her. She was sitting with my husband. I told the manager what happened and she tried to make excuses for him. She even tried to tell me that my bill was $52.00 and that she would give me 10% discount and told me that ten percent off was $52.00. I told her hold on, let me see your calculator and do the math. After I did the math I showed her that 10% off of $52.00 was $46.80. She said ok I will charge you $45.00. I don't know who she thought she was fooling with. DON'T GO HERE THESE PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE.
