Located between a popular Tex-Mex restaurant, UPS and a dog groomer all of which I regularly frequent I'm surprised it took me this long to notice this place. I typically wait a few services before reviewing a nail salon but my experience last Sat was so good I wanted to share to give this business the boost it deserves. The salon is stunning and on a Sat afternoon I was able to walk in and get a mani/ pedi right away. They have a great drink menu/bar with a limit of 2 drinks and their Viet iced coffee was delicious! Massage length for services was generous and overall the quality of the mani/pedi was excellent for a reasonable price relative to other similar salons. I don't recommend this place on the quality of manicure and pedicure alone. My mani looked like I used Color Street nail stickers and didn't stretch it all the way to the edge of the nail bed. Cannot recommend, would not recommend, regret ever trying out this business. They lack the class and customer service skills that too many other better nail salons & establishments possess in the Katy area. Do not pass go, do not collect $100. Wait for the dice to roll in a game of Jumanji versus Monopoly on this one. Sleep on it, don't wake up to catch the worm, don't expect anything but mediocrity and you'll be alright. Valerie's is nearby my new neighborhood so I figured I'd give them a try. 3 years later, I still come religiously to have multiple services done. Valerie and Donny are the awesome owners and although I rely on Valerie to do my nails, Donny has done them for me a couple of times and they are always great. I have needed maybe 2 repairs this whole time and they have always fixed them quickly and without charging. I have rarely had an issue getting an appointment and I typically have to call last minute due to my crazy work schedule. Valerie makes me feel like a treasured client whenever I arrive, greeting me with a smile. She has a great staff; numerous technicians have given me pedicures over the years. Jenny is great! Cindy is awesome! Anne is fantastic and Jennifer is also excellent!!! I have also gotten waxing services from Valerie and she takes her time to make sure she does it right. Angel does lashes there too and although I have yet to try lashes myself, I've seen so many ladies walk out looking gorgeous! I appreciate their punch card system... it's fun to get rewarded for being a repeat customer. I like that I can sip wine and catch up with Valerie or read and relax while I'm there. My pedicure was okay. Before she even put the top coat on, I could see a missed spot on my toes bc there was no dry time between coats. Fresh "builder gel" set and pedicure with tip came out to ~$130. I only returned a second time out of sheer curiosity bc I wanted to see how they would do a BUILDER GEL refill on a POLY GEL set. But they used poly gel again. I wanted this simple line work design. Idk how much they charged bc I wasn't told and their receipts are not itemized. There is also no pricing list / menu available to customers. A refill with the design and tip came out to $115. I cannot bring myself to come back to this salon. There's no confirmation of pricing, I asked for a specific service and received the wrong product. Everyone I've interacted with there is friendly and it's a pretty salon but there's a lack of transparency that I can't get on board with.
