Great service. Price competitively. I was not rushed. I was not pressured. Very relaxing environment. Tina was spot on with what I wanted. I asked for a simple full set with almond shape and that is what she gave me. She even laid out samples of powder color for the right pink. She asked once if I wanted a design and I didn't this time. My friends and I happened to stop by this nail shop (under new management) when we were on vacation. We were immediately greeted by friendly beauticians when we entered the shop. The nail colors here are vibrant, and I had a HUGE variety of colors to choose from. Not to mention, the nail polishes here are high quality (such as OPI, China Glaze, Essie, etc.). During my pedicure, my beautician lathered on a soothing sugar cream scrub on my legs; I just simply sat on the brand new spa chair, relaxed, and was completely satisfied with such a great job my beautician did for my pedicure. I also notice how high-quality the products are here. For my manicure, my beautician also applied this pink colored scrub on my arms. I just asked for a simple clear coat to be painted over my nails. I absolutely love the end results for my mani/pedi. My nails look fantastic, and I am completely satisfied with my experience here. read more

Fast, super nice, very fairly priced and GREAT service! Those are just a few things I can say about Nails by Michelle, but I don't think it does them justice to only say this. So here it goes! I had the pleasure of working with Tina (Pedicure) and Lisa (Manicure) and a Gentleman who's name I didn't catch, but he was courteous and made me feel very welcome! Tina was delightfully gentle, a true ninja at her craft! I barely felt a thing, but by the end, the results were perfect! Lisa was also lightning fast with amazing results! All in all, it was a great experience and very unexpected, considering this was a new place for me. The aromas from the grapefruit and scrubs were phenomenal and the price was just right! I happily left a tip and wished I could have left more (not enough cash)! They were that good! Thanks for the great time and fantastic service. I will be coming back again very soon. read more

I visited this salon on 10/20, meeting Tina & Lynn. Advised them I was seeking a new salon after recieving an unclean experience at the last salon. I requested a new set, shellac manicure & pedicure. Tina insisted I wanted dipped nails. I told her I'd never had those, and i liked shellac. But she assured me dipped nails her healthier and would last longer. $47 later I paid for dipped nails. 4 days later the 1st nail pops off, no trauma just a gentle movement caused this. Within 7 days I'd lost 2 nails, and 1 week later I had several nails lifting and chipping. I was out of town for 10 days, so did not return to salon. Today l, 3 weeks later I returned and explained my experience with the dipped nails Tina encouraged me to try. I advised her I didn't want dipped nails, and would prefer shellac. She first argued with me about my decision, then advised me I would have to pay for an entire net set. I complained to deaf ears, suggesting I shouldn't have to pay for entire new set, as she asked me to try dipped nails though I asked for shellac. Well they disagreed, saying the owner would not allow that and charged me $50 for a new set of shellac nails, one solid color, no design. I paid but advised i would be posting review of this RIP off! They even charge extra based on the length of nail you want. Lots of undisclosed surcharges. Which my length is medium, square round, nothing special. While Lisa who fixed my nails tonight did a good job shaping, etc. I still feel this was poor customer service, and excessive charges and add ons, that BTW are not disclosed on their pricing menu. read more

Slow and understaffed! Only go to this salon if you are willing to wait and have low expectations to actually get services. Went here on a Sunday afternoon with my mom to get our nails done. Was told to wait 15 minutes. Walked out two hours later and only one of us was able to get our nails done. This was after repeatedly asking for updates and being told we are next. No apologies from the staff. They are understaffed and didn't have the common sense to advise us that they were unlikely to be able to provide services. Did an ok job on nails, nothing to write home about after the wait. Limited color selection. read more

If only this salon was located in sunny California! I stopped by this salon to get a facial and a manicure with my friends while I was in Texas for vacation. This is a comfortable salon that is located across from a high school. My cosmetologist, Lisa was fantastic. This was my process for the facial: First, she led me into a separate room and turned on music while I was getting my skin treated. She was very friendly who consistently made sure I was content throughout each stepped. The application performed was comforting and nourishing as she relaxed my muscles to prevent more unwanted blemishes. All the treatment products used were natural and exfoliating. The whole process lasted for approximately 1.5 hours. As for my manicure: I opted for a simple manicure. She started out by soaking and rubbing my fingers in some lotion, then carefully trimmed my nails and excess skin surrounding the fingernails before painting the nails. I only chose a simple clear and glittery polish for my nail beds. To end it off, she lathered my arms, hands, and fingers with a scrub to maintain smoothness. This salon has superb service, reasonable prices, and excellent products. The ladies here were meticulous about their performance and constantly made sure if I was happy with their service. Would I come here again when I'm back in Texas? Yes. read more

I really wanted to like this place. Walking distance from my house. I made an appointment for everything I needed the day prior. When I walked in, I was the only client. As she started on my pedicure, I politely reminded her (I let them know when I made my appointment) that I currently had shellac on my toes. She literally rolled her eyes at me and started yelling to her coworker in Vietnamese. I was appalled!!! She then continued to forcefully throw my leg back down throughout the service and kept mumbling under her breath. I have never been so uncomfortable. When it was time to pay, she was all of a sudden smiling and I felt waiting for her tip. Side note: I got a shellac manicure at the same time by a very sweet lady. I was really excited about that until I got home and realized half the polish was on my skin around my nails. It literally looked like a child polished my nails and because it was shellac I couldn't just take it off quickly! read more

Decided (against my better intuition) to give this place another try...I figured, they can't possibly polish my nails as unprofessionally as they waxed off my skin. -As soon as I walk in to pick colors, I notice they have a really poor selection of colors (both in regular polish and Shellac) -The colors have obviously been "watered down" with polish remover which will cause nails to chip quickly -Nail tech did a heinous job on my shellac manicure...she was so kind but the end product looked like she had painted my nails with her toes...while her eyes were closed. I picked off all the polish by the next day. Definitely not coming back here...where are the good nail salons in the Katy area?? Somebody help me! read more

I have been going to this salon for a while now and I have to say that this is by far the BEST place to get a manicure or pedicure. No other place knows how to do Shellac properly but Tina is a pro. Every time I leave I'm always very satisfied with their work. I have been sending them new customers lately because at work everyone compliments my nails. One day I took my mom with me and she was so happy with their work that she has been their loyal customer since. They also give nice massages with manis and pedis. As convenient as this place is to my house, they just don't do quality work. I have had pedicures, Shellac (that peeled off in 3 days), the powder, eye brow waxing, etc...and everything is just mediocre. The new lady that took over, Lisa, is really nice but unfortunately, the people that she hires are constantly leaving and new people are coming in to work. The service is just very hit-or-miss. I have given this place so many tries, because it is so close to my house, but I'd rather go out of my way a couple minutes and pay for quality services and nails that look good and actually last. I had a great experience here. I went in 2 weeks ago for a manicure with shellac, and a pedicure. As I'm typing, the shellac is still intact. I've never had shellac last this long... I'm actually going back tonight for another manicure because my nails have actually grown long enough for the shellac to look funny. My pedicure still looks great too.
