My color today - Black Cherry Chutney from OPI, is a very old school to polish, but Tony is such a pro, these could be editorial they're so perfectly polished. Linda, the owner, does my pedicures. I have a nerve condition called RSD/CRPS. It's awful but Linda is so gentle and knows how to make this much easier on me. They are in the heart of Addison on Beltline slightly west of Midway. The staff does NOT turnover here. All are exceptional at what they do. I'm a 35 yr cosmetology pro. I did nails before hair. I know good from bad. This nail salon is great. I have been going to Tony going on 10 years at this location. I went in today thinking I wanted some nail art. Tony had something better! This is a very cool gel polish treatment. The glitter goes on the whole nail and looks normal. Until he uses the MAGNET. It some how activates the glitter and it becomes not only 3-d feel, but the magnet moves the glitter around. It looks like a cat eye marble! Sooooo many ways to use this and layer it over other polishes. I've known Tony forever. This nail salon was recently purchased. Ashley is the new manager/owner & she's always my go to girl. She's very upbeat, sweet & likes to have fun with your nails. I onlyyyy use her! I started coming to her with my damaged frail nails & she brought them back to life. Trust her, ladies! She gets your hands back to life. My nails are long and strong, I no longer need the acrylics. I just do the dip powder & im in and out in about an hour. I always make sure to set an appointment so I don't have a wait time. The only con is parking, it's a small battle each time. I mean its in a small shopping center so it's to be expected, but I wish they could reserve like 3 or 4 spaces for the salon only. I suggest the dip on the nails & gel on the toes. This place is close to where I live and had good reviews so I decided to try. I'm always in search for a place that does good shellac since I don't do acrylics. I was very pleased with the service here, I had someone do my pedi while someone else did my shellac. They were both very very nice which I was so grateful for because I wasn't feeling too well and the last nail place I went to was horrible. They really made my day so relaxing. I normally time my fills for when I am home in California, however, this last trip I was unable to get a fill before I left to work here in Addison. I was staying around the corner from this salon so as I do most places I looked at the reviews. I was pleased to see so many positive ones. So I walked in no appointment. I was greeted with smiles and hellos! I have colored acrylic tips and pinks, which many places don't do, at least that I've found. He(Tony) looked at my nails and said he could do them no problem. I opted to have a pedicure as well. I was seated and pampered. Lynn at my feet and Tony on my hands. They made conversation, and before you know it I was on my way. This spa is under new management so I can't speak for the reviews before now, but I wish I would have discovered this place sooner!... Granted they just had their (re)Grand Opening 3 days ago (8/1/12). I will lay out my experience though... I had a groupon for another salon but when I called that salon was booked solid for a week. Dislike. So naturally I turned to yelp and this was the first place I called to inquire about prices, etc... Tony said they could fit me in within the hour and that for the month of August (2012) they were running a managers special- 20% any salon service PLUS a free manicure when you buy any pedicure. SOLD! So of course I run right over and they are semi-busy but Kimmy, the new owner, helped me as soon as I entered the salon. Their price list is very clear and they have a wide selection of options. The pedicures run from $30-60 and the manicures are $15-30 (but like I said for the month of August you get the basic manicure for free when you purchase a pedicure). Since it was 20% of all services and I normally spend $75 at my other salon I decided to splurge and got the "Oh so heavenly" manicure ($30) and pedicure ($60). I decided I'd rather get an upgraded manicure than the freebie normal one. I can't say enough good things about this manicure and pedicure except they were the BEST I have ever had- this is coming from someone who gets weekly spa services and has tried just about every salon in the Austin and Dallas area. The pedicure included a milk bath foot soak, followed by a honey leg/foot scrub, AMAZING long leg/foot massage, hot wax foot dip, hot stone leg/foot massage, hot towel wrap and all the normal pedicure stuff. The manicure was basically the same except on my arms and it included a neck and back massage! The title definitely describes it because it was OH SO HEAVENLY! Kimmy, the owner, did my pedicure and manicure and she did an excellent job. She took her time made sure that I was comfortable and enjoying my time there. I watched the salon fill up incredibly fast too and watch at least 6 very satisfied customers leave. Kimmy explained their hygiene procedures and I witnessed them cleaning and sanitizing everything which is great. Very clean salon! After 2.5 hours in heaven my final bill was $72 after the 20%--- keep in mind I got the highest level of the manicures and pedicures. It was COMPLETELY worth that $72 and I tipped Kimmy $20 because I was so thrilled with the great job she did. read more

Went in today for a pedicure and eyebrow wax. The pedicure was lackluster, but my nails look good and no harm done. I wish I could say the same for my eyebrows. The girl dripped wax all over my right eyelid, causing a great deal of pain and leaving me, a day later, looking like I just went a few rounds with Holyfield, and my friends have started calling me Rocky Raccoon. The left side is fine, but the right is burning pain. I'm not going to be able to sleep right or wear makeup for days, and I have had to go to the minor emergency clinic for treatment. I wish this place was closer to me. I was in Texas for work for 45 days. After I found this place I went every other week or every week, they are that amazing. I liked them so much that before I left I tipped them $40.00 for my visit for a Spa treatment Manicure and Pedicure which was about $105.00. (My usual trip is $20.00 to other places that I visit. I might have tipped this place a low as $30.00 on one of first visits.) They were worth the higher tip. I tip for service and yes, there are times I don't tip at all. The presentation was beautiful when they brought the cart out with their products. The neck massage was extremely relaxing. I don't recall which spa treatment I requested but I'm sure it was one of the longest. I went for the massage part not the nail polish. They did clean up my nails beautifully, I just don't do the polish. I did have them buff my nails and they came out better than a clear polish. I have searched around the Fairfax, Virginia area for a place as wonderful and none can be found. I've searched for almost a year now. I would not recommend the massages unless they changed out the massage person. I told the manager I didn't like the massage because the woman (I think she said she was from Florida.) didn't seem like she wanted to be there and was rushed to get done so I didn't find it relaxing. The manager did say that was the second complaint and she was changing to someone else so don't mark this off your list of things to do. I think they specialize in manicures and pedicures so I would recommend that is your priority for your visit. I am in love with this place but work in DC.
