She knows the right pressure points, makes you feel super comfortable, allows you to guide the level of conversation you do/don't want and is a genuine and easy person to be around! I'll be honest, I was a bit wary going into my first massage ever as a female in her 30s. Like have I been living under a cave? Yes. Indeed I have. For some reason I was worried it would be awkward in some way or feel forced to talk to a stranger. I don't know. Usually I had partners try to give me a massage after a long work week but it is JUST NOT THE SAME. I promise. Unless your partner is a licensed massage therapist I guess hehe. Also, five stars for the rest of the staff too. Monique, the owner, is absolutely wonderful and makes you feel at home every single time. I get my pedicure done there as well by a lovely gal and I've also had a very detailed manicure! I have yet to get my hair done but I'm considering that next! She confirmed whether or not I had ever had a facial so I knew what to expect (I've had only 1 before and this one was over the top compared to the basic one I received before). I was thrown off at first when I had to take my shirt off and get under a towel because it was a facial. It was really a facial for the face, the neck, ears, shoulders and top chest area. There was definitely a massage and amazing feels from all the oils, lotions and whatever else was used on me. The best. But as a Bridesmaid in my friends wedding, I had to get my nails done. After spotting The Beauty Room's good reviews, I decided to give this spot a try. On a less busy day/time, I felt the safest I could have in a salon. I truly appreciated that the staff wore their masks properly and social distanced. Because I was there mid-afternoon, it was very quiet. Jessica did my gel pedicure and she was fantastic! Trust me, there is such a thing as a bad nail professional. But Jessica is highly-skilled and even color matched the color I needed to match my dress. She's super personable and I liked her so much I immediately followed her on Instagram! I wish the pedicure chairs were adjustable. I'm tall and felt very crunched up and uncomfortable, but not much can be done about that. The salon is super clean, spacious and newly built.
