I will never go back! The manager or owner is confrontational, and never admits wrongdoing on their end. My pedicure and manicure polish did not dry properly. Both were messed up before I left. They quickly took the polish off of the messed up nails, and reapplied. I sat there waiting for it to dry for the second time. The manager came back over and told me they were dry, and I could go. (BTW - Pedicure had over an hour to dry while they were doing my acrylic, nail fill-in!) Within minutes of getting to my car, my thumbnail was already messed up as I put my charge card back in my purse. I immediately went back in and told her once again, my nails were not dry! She said "There's NOTHING I can do about it! At home, I bumped my little toenail in the poliship globbed right off (by now, the pedicure had been completed over two hours ago.) The OPI Infinity Shine, you used was NOT APPLIED properly! From the OPI website; Step 1: Prep your natural nails to ensure a strong adhesion. Aka, trim, file, and buff. Step 2: Apply 1 thin coat of Infinite Shine Gel-like Base Coat and cap the free edge. Allow nails to dry for 1-2 minutes. Step 3: Apply 2 thin coats of any Infinite Shine shade and cap the free edge of each coat. Allow each coat to dry for 1-2 minutes. Step 4: Apply 1 coat of Infinite Shine Gel-like Top Coat over nail polish, cap the free edge, then let nails dry. You did not use a base coat Infinity Shine or a top coat Infinity Shine, so it couldn't dry properly! All you did was blame me and told me there was "Nothing I can do about it!!!" If you do not intend to use the proper base coat and top coat for Infinity Shine, use OPI's nail lacquer! I use it at home all the time. It dries within 15 minutes! read more

This salon is absolutely phenomenal! I got a pedicure, now hear me out. Both of my big toes were split very low and I had anticipated needing two acrylic tips but to my surprise my master technician was able to sculpt my nails ! I wish I had took a before picture because she literally transformed my toes! Extremely professional and thorough job Hands down the best pedicure ever will definitely be coming back!! read more

Thanks for spoiling me, once again. My pedicure ended with soft heels and shiny toes.

I went in after a brow wax next door! I was greeted promptly and sat in a comfy chair immediately. My nail tech (I wish I would of caught her name!) She put all the SNS dip choices in front of me while she removed my previous color. Helped show me all the new colors that had come in. (I also had an amazing manicure as well) She wasn't super aggressive with the nail dremel like I've experienced at other locations. She took her time and talked about anything with me and everything she was super super sweet!! They have a loyalty system as well. 1 point for every dollar spent there. (500 is $10 off!) I will for sure return for future mani and pedis and any of my other needs!!! I'm a SNS die hard I love the amazing ness and durability it provides my nails. read more

Luxor Nails and Spa - SNS/Mani - Nail Salons Near Me - Butler, Ohio

My 3 year old and I went on Christmas Eve for a mom/ daughter pedicure date. The staff was super warm and accommodating to my little girl who was a bit shy. They have pink butterfly chairs that I'm sure seems absolutely magical to the little ones. It was for mine. The sweet young lady who did my daughters nails helped her through her nerves and painted little hearts on her fingers and toes. She was so patient with her. My little girl was beaming afterward. She felt so special. Bonus- My toenails looked perfect as well. read more

I saw with my own two eyes a man working there cut an elderly woman's toenails- with no gloves - and then go straight over to his manicure appointment without washing his hands or putting gloves on. Tools are stored in dirty, unorganized drawers and cases. The metal tools were sealed and sanitized but the files and buffers were not. An absolute bacterial nightmare. read more

Tried them today and left completely unsatisfied. I had to pay $40 a horrible nail job. When I requested that she fix it, she treated me terribly. At that point I just wanted to get out of there and now I have to find somebody to fix it. I called them after to request a refund, and they refused. The manager was patronizing and rude on the phone. This place is terrible. Stay away. read more

I have gotten my nails done here a few times... there's this one man who usually does them and he's super nice and good at what he does. My nails always come out really good! Honestly love this place. read more

After a year of pausing getting nails done due to Covid concerns, I came back to Luxor Nails and Spa and I was sad to see that most of the staff is gone, it is so unfortunate what this pandemic has done to the economy of many families but thankfully my girl Tina stills there! She is amazing, friendly and has always gone above and beyond to pamper me and make me feel special! I felt very comfortable and safe as owners have implemented safety features and enhanced sanitary procedures. I am sure it has not been easy to stay in business so wish you guys a prompt recovery! I am happy to be back and support this small business! read more

Luxor Nails and Spa - Great for little girls pampering - Nail Salons Near Me - Butler, Ohio

I have had really great shellac manicures here... And really bad. Overall I would say I enjoy coming here... But last night I went and the nail tech made 5 of my 10 cuticles bleed... Pretty badly. I understand that sometimes they get to close on maybe one finger, but I bled a lot on 3 fingers and I didn't get any discount or compensation. The lady did apologize, but after bleeding that much I think I should have received some sort of discount at least. read more

I made a lash appointment for 630 tonight. I arrived a little early and decided to get an express pedicure to waste time. I finished around 625 and Michelle waved me to the back she pointed across the way to a room so i walked in and got settled. After about five minutes some kid walks in saying Michelle's appointment that was late showed up so i have to wait twenty minutes. I explained that i made an appointment also and that I would like to be helped first because i was on time for mine. After the kid went back and fourth from Michelle to me i came out to speak to her myself. Not sure why children are being made to do the dirty work but long story short Michelle could've cared less about anything i said. She said my app was at 645 and that she'd be with me soon and basically that it wasn't up for debate i was being pushed aside for the girl who was late for whatever reason because I came in with $200 for the services i was supposed to get and was pushed to the side for another appointment right in front of my face. This was my first and last visit. Kelly who did my pedi was very sweet it's a shame her boss acted like that. Michelle stated she was the owner which is crazy because she treated me as if my business meant nothing to her or her company. read more

I called an made an appointment for my parents to get a pedicure, would have like mom to get a manicure also however time did not allow that. I had a caretaker that was available to take them today before she went to work this evening. They go sat in their chair an hour after their appointment time, and when we were at home tonight my Dad said look at this foot i dont think these nails were even cut.. They were in facty not. My parents are 83 and almost 85 and this past two years they have been riddeled with medical problems but today was a good day, so a day of pampering was scheduled. I understand that mistakes happen, overscheduling happens, but when i called to complain about todays expierience it was one excuse after another.. they siad my parents refused to go to anyone but Tina.. I called and made the appointment so that is not true and while my mom did end up having Tina my dad did not so how is that an accurate statement.... My parents both denied even mentioning Tina's name.. (although this is not about Tina she has always been nice to my parents when she has taken care of them in the past)Then they said they got very busy and that is why it took so long.. you make appintments especially if you are in this situation so you know what time to be there and what time you are exspected to be done. Bottom line no accountability for the poor service today.. if you mess up you fix it, you apologize and you move on. The unprofessionalsm of today will not only have us never go back, it will be to alert everyone of their poor service and taking advantage of the Elderly. My parents have been to Luxor Spa before as the whole family has-- every christmas there is 8 of us that go for a day of spoiling, never again and i will be reporting them to the Better Buisness Bureau. read more

I would give them zero stars, if possible. They charged me $96 to PAINT my nails. No acrylics. Nothing. I was told it would be $55. One broke the next day. They made me wait an hour to get a repair. But seated other people while I waited. This place is terrible, a rip off, and a waste of money read more

Surprised to see no love for this place on Yelp! It's just your average neighborhood nail salon. Nothing exceptional, but I've been there 5+ times for pedicures and have always left satisfied. The employees are kind and funny. Prices are typical (I think $28 for a regular pedicure) and they have a good selection of colors from top brands. They have plenty of pedicure chairs, and I've never had to wait to be seated, even with 1-2 other people. Yes, they'll offer you alcohol, which might feel kind of strange... but just roll with it and have fun! read more

This place sucks don't go here. NT nails or SASA nails is the best in Westchester. Luxor nails and spa is rude

I moved to the area a year and a half ago and it's always hard to find your new go-to places. I started at another "highly recommended" nail salon in the area but it never felt quite right. I've been going to Luxor for over a year now and I've NEVER had a bad experience. They are so welcoming, all of the staff area great and they also provide waxing. Henry is my favorite but I have been to a few other staff when he's not available and always top notch service. They have a discount for paying with cash and they even have cocktails at times! read more

I find it interesting that they make the effort of having tools cleaned and wrapped in the sanitized bags, but use the open tools in their box. She never opened the one set of cleaned tools and put my used ones right back in the box. And offering free alcoholic drinks. That's a little weird read more

Terrible customer service. Spend $107, completely worthless and the guy that did my nails was very unprofessional, asking inappropriate questions. My nails look like someone has painted over a piece of gum (bubblely). Never going back! read more

Im not sure why anyone patronizes this place. They charged more than quoted for SNS and they used Gel top coat and placed me under the UV light. SNS should last 3 weeks. Lasted one week. They remove google reviews to increase their score. read more

Terrible experience. Stopped in for what I thought would be a quick polish removal, and ended up being there for over an hour. I had to basically beg the staff to finish so I could leave. Always a good experience! Friendly, clean and I always come out with pretty fingers & toes!

Long wait, bad nail job. Thought the male technician was very sarcastic to the point of being rude.

Worst nail salon I have ever been to! I live in Kentucky, but was in the area and needed my nails re-done. I went in to have SNS. I show up and sign in at 4:33pm on a Wednesday. After waiting almost hour (5:26pm) to even get from lobby to a technician chair, I thought I was going to now get my nails done. The woman comes over, files off the clear coat on my nails, wraps them in foil, and says she will be back in 3 minutes......6:08pm she returns. At this time, I ask for her to remove the foil and polish. I tell her I want to leave. She then asks what color I want. I explained how neglected and unwelcomed I feel. She then asks for the color again. I said I just want to leave for a second time. While hold my hand, she says she will do them and have me out in less than 30 minutes. I feel trapped, and need my nails done. So reluctantly, I say Nitro #140. This woman is now doing my nails, so I try to calm my frustration. Well, lets say this. I went from a bright red last week (Memorial Day colors) to a light lilac type purple. The lady, who is the owner mind you, does not remove all the red from previous color, flies through getting my nails done. They are uneven, horribly filed, still showing red, and some have product over the cutical bed, becase she didn't file them down. $42 later I am out the door.....I won't be back, and will be spending another $25 at my salon in Lexington, KY next week, because this sent isn't going to last two weeks! read more

Decent pedicure but they are greedy. Told me it would be 10 mins til someone would be with me but reality was I soaked for 35 mins and there were still 2 people ahead of me who'd been waiting for who knows how long. I usually get my nails done here and they do a really good job, but they were doing chillac on my toes and they made 3 bleed on the sides. It has only happened once and I have been many times before, I never saw this worker at the salon again so I don't know if she got fired or quit. read more

I waited with my feet in the water for 58 minutes waiting on someone to do a pedicure. I finally got up and left. Ridiculous!!!! No one even cared. If you would've told me the wait was over an hour I would've left right away. You wasted an hour of my life!!!! read more

I stopped by for a quick express pedicure before my trip and the techs were clearly ready to go because there were two techs sweeping and collecting my payment while my tech was busy cutting my cuticle. She said sorry and proceeded to cut me again. She finished up and I went on my way. Well two weeks later I took the polish off and it appears that I now have a nail fungus! My doctor put me on oral Lamasil for the next 90 days and I have wait for my toenail to grow out. I am so disappointed about this because I have been here several times before and had not problems. read more

Snow nails has moved a couple doors down and become Luxor Nails. While although their polish is somewhat decent (although mine completely peel off the next day), the people who work there are God awful. The man doing my pedicure saw some of my old self harm scars on my ankles and him and the coworker started laughing, and saying "haha she cut herself all by herself" and making cutting motions next to my scars. They're awful people. Don't go there. read more

I use to love this place. They use to give you a free alcoholic beverage with every nail service. The last three times I've been here they havnt offered that. I'm here tonight to get a pedicure, and they told me to have a seat in the chair and put my feet in the water and someone would be "right with me".... it's currently been 50 minutes and STILL no one is over here. If there was a wait, they should have told me. I could have grocery shopped or something in the mean time. Now my feet are cold, pruny, and I'm extremely irritated instead of relaxed, which is the total opposite of why I wanted to come here. I probably won't be back again, which is a shame because I was a very regular client. I come every 2weeks to a month. Communication needs to be better. read more

Made appointment for myself and sister and mother. I have a 3 month old baby who is breastfed, and I don't have a large supply of milk stored, so we made appointments to be sure I would be there for 1.5-2 hours in time to feed him again. We specified exactly the services we wanted when we booked- pedicure/NexGen manicures and were told that it would be accommodated in that time frame. We were put off at first because they made us separate for our services even though we told them "no- we wanted to be together." My pedicure was nice, and did not feel rushed, the polish was nice and I cannot complain about that. However after my pedicure, I waited for my manicure. The technician doing my moms manicure was polite and honestly tried to find someone to do my nails, but no one was interested in listening to her. I told her I made the appointment because I had a baby at home who would need to eat and at least 3 times she asked someone to help. She said they were short staffed. After waiting a half hour and no one willing to do it, I told her I would have to miss out on my manicure since I needed to get home to the baby. What bothered me, is that nothing was done about them not honoring their appointment time for me. They either overbooked or took walk ins before me. When I went to pay, I had a coupon for a combo and they wouldn't let me use it since I didn't get the manicure- but that wasn't my fault. Nor did they try to do anything to get me to return. I really liked the idea and look of the NexGen manicure (better than shellac, not harmful like acrylic), but I will miss out on this because I will not return. read more

MEDIOCRE SERVICE! I got a gel/shelac mani and regular pedi last Friday. It's early Tuesday and one of my nails has already chipped, which completely defeats the purpose for a gel/shelac manicure. The nail tech that I had was nice, but he definitely seemed to lack confidence in his work and it showed. I suppose the salon is decent if you are looking for a quick manicure and pedicure. However, their prices are EXTREMELY expensive for the mediocre quality of work. I'm originally from the east coast and have been to fabulous salons that provide exceptional work. To say the least, I was very disappointed. I would highly advise you go to a salon where you will probably receive better services for a cheaper price. read more

I have a friend who was in the hospital for 3 weeks with a back surgery, went straight to a rehab nursing home and is there for 4-5 weeks and will have another back surgery following that. She gave me 2 $20 gc that she had that expired may 29, 2016. Obviously she is unable to use them and didn't want them to go to waste. I called on May 30 and asked to speak to a manager so I could explain my situation and was told someone would call me back. No one returned my call. I called again today June 1 at 5:00. The same person answered and said she gave the manager my message and didn't know why my call was not returned. She asked me to call again at 6:00. Instead my daughter and I went in to get a pedicure. When we arrived the same person I had spoken to both times greeted us. I asked to see the manager and she said the manager would be out and would probably be doing our pedicures. A man came out named chip. I explained that we did not want to get in a chair until I knew the gc would be able to be used. He said ok. When finished and trying to pay we were told that the gc would not be able to be used. I thought it was a joke. The woman I spoke to spoke in another language to the person who I guess was the manager who never did speak with me and she would not accept them being 2 days over. The person speaking for the manager said she didn't understand why the manager wouldn't accept them and then left and spoke to her again. I asked to speak to the manager but she would not speak to me. In the end they used one of the gc but not the other. Ridiculous and terrible customer service. Will never go back and recommend others to not as well. I feel the "manager" used her language barrier to let someone else do her dirty work and not deal with me directly. Shame on them. read more

I've been a loyal customer for about 7 months, even after a nail technician ruined my mom's nails for her wedding. This last weekend, I went in to try SNS for the first time. When it was finished, my nails were rainbowed, which was not what I had asked for. The nail technician told me that that happens sometimes. I had been thee for over 1.5 hours, so I was ready to go. The next day, the top coat had started to peal off and the nail color was dull. This morning I decided to go back to ask them to fix it. When I got there, I was told that I would have to pay half because it was a waste of their time as well as mine. When I refused to pay for fixing their mistake, the next option as to put shellac over the dull, rainbowed color. When I explained that I didn't want shellac, I paid more for SNS, and thought the mistake should be fixed, she would not bend. Needless to say, I will not be returning to an establishment hat does not stand behind their products and services. Quite disappointed. read more
