Absolutely TERRIBLE. I came here to get two toes fixed that they messed up and chipped the same day. I had no issue paying for the 2 toes fixed. But instead of just the two fixed they put my feet in the water and did the whole pedicure but only pained and did the two. They charged me full regular pedicure. I told the manager that I only got two toes done and he continued to argue with me. They made me pay for the 45 dollars for getting TWO TOES FIXED. Do not come here they are horrible and rude. I've only ever had 1 other bad experience with this nail shop being rushed in the past. Mimi did a wonderful job on my nails however... Manager was not enthusiastic and questioned me about my $20 tip so I added an additional $20 tip just so he wouldn't be rude. They push for more expensive services but are offended if we don't tip what their workers should already earn. I don't appreciate how it's expected to give a decent tip when we receive attitude from the nails techs (Although Mimi was very kind) and services are rushed. Additionally, DON'T bother making an appointment. My friend and I made an appointment for 5:20 on Friday and no seats/nail techs were available. My friend had to wait 20-25min just to sit next to me and waited an additional 15min before she could get her manicure. NEVER coming back here again. I asked for a simple gel manicure and this is what I received. Not only are all my nails different shapes and sizes, they are also painted unevenly and the nail tech cut my nails so wonky I'm bleeding. I pointed it out several times that nails were uneven but she clearly didn't understand. She also forgot to do a clear coat on one step of nails, I had to remind her. Worst experience ever. No customer service what do ever! And horrible at the services. My friend and I went in her for a fill and me for a pedi. My pedi. The Masssge and feet treat were great. But once it got to the color and actual putting nail polish, it went down hill. The color I picked out was three shade different than the one she grabbed. She kept telling me it was the same, which it was clearly a completely different shade. The guy manager had to come over and help. Ended up having to go with a completely different shade, but at that point the woman doing my nails was so mad she wouldn't even look at me. She proceeded to paint my nails super fast and did a horrible job. Paint was all over my skin and cuticles. When I asked her to clean them up, she started to speak in her language to the other women and tried to clean them up fast and sloppy. My skin was now pink and she stood and up and acted as if I was done. I politely asked her to clean up my cuticles and pointed out the bad spots. She then got alcohol on a cotton ball and whipped off the all my paint. As she was doing so she did it so aggressively. I asked her if she was mad and she wouldn't look or talk to me. I was polite and calm and kept trying to get her to talk to me. Once, kinda of a clean, my skin still stained pink, she got up and walked away and told me I had to wait 5 mins. She went and stared folding toweles in the back. I called the guy manager back and he wasn't concerned at all. I told him my experience and then he started talking to her in their language. And she was yelling and very upset. At this point the two people around me were bewildered at this. Seeing there really wasn't anything to be upset at. 1. The color is the customers choice. Match it. 2. You can't have color on skin and cuticles. It was a simple fix. I asked for someone else to finish seeing she was so mad and the man told me I'd have to wait and walked off. My friend. Who got her nails done, which she's also was not satisfied with bc the were different lengths and not the shape she wanted, nor would they fix them when she asked, said "let's go, this place is horrible" When we left, they tried to have me pay full price. I agreed to pay for 70 percent of the service, seeing now need to go somewhere else. I'm a laid back chill person, I've gotten my nails and toes done for years. I have been looking for a quality nail salon for over a year in Bradenton before committing to one to make appointments, so read this knowing that I have been a walk-in at many places around town. I'm usually looked up and down and told to wait 30-40 minutes in places that look shabby with mismatched furniture. First impressions here are that I walked into someone's beautiful makeup vanity. The store is clean, sleek, and very girly/full of crystal adorned things. I am greeted by Dakota, either a manager or very skilled receptionist. I was extremely disappointed with my visit here. Not only did it take 1h45m to do a mani pedi, which in my opinion, is an hour too long, the end product was shocking. Less than 48 hours after visiting two of my nails completely peeled off. I went back and the woman who redid them wasn't apologetic and said it was my fault as I'd put them in the UV dryer too far?? A day later two more peeled off and a week in all but the two ones that were redone were gone. The pedi seems to have held better but still, it was outrageously disappointing. I also felt really uncomfortable with the conversation during my treatments. Asking if I wanted the guys address and that women only want men who are successful is far too Andrew Tate for my liking and I thought super inappropriate. I just wanted to relax and unwind but I felt really wary the whole time. He just said "you sit" and didn't say where.. so when I asked where am I supposed to be sitting he just pounted to the chair with an attitude and I had to let him know... The girl cut my freaking toe! Yesterday I went here to get a pedicure. Long story short, she was cutting my cuticles with the sharp clippers and then cut my flesh. My toe wouldn't stop bleeding. She repeatedly put antiseptic on it which burned bad as hell. When it came down to pay I was still charged $50! Which was full price, I had somewhere to be so I didn't have time to go back and forth about the price. I called this morning to speak to the manager/ owner about my toe because it's been hurting and still burning. He told me to come in which was a complete waste of my time. This man said he can put GLUE on the cut. Then said they can't do refunds, so I asked well can you provide me with a free pedicure service for a different time. He said NO. I understand times are hard and everything but that was ridiculous. I still tipped the girl who cut me and had he offered a free service, I would've tipped for that. Now I had to write a bad review for piss poor service on his part. Makes you want to stop going to nail shops all together. I HOPE this reaches a good amount of customers. I understood that she didn't mean to which is why I tipped because I'm really nice but I shouldn't have been charged full price after I got hurt. I honestly feel like the quality of service has gone down while the prices have gone up. I noticed the guy doing my nails just cleaned his implements and scrub with the water from my pedicure to reuse on someone else. At first I thought maybe it's just him, but then I noticed the one doing my sister did the same as well and the other one. I NEVER leave reviews but I had too. This is probably my 4th time coming here and the other times were okay but not the greatest. This time I had an older woman who spoke zero English which I don't mind as long as your still trying to communicate somehow She never asked what I wanted or even understood when I said I wanted a matte finish the woman next to her had to tell her and explain it was a top coat. She cut my cuticles during my pedicure multiple times and then while doing my manicure I watched her use lotion instead of cuticle softener and she cut probably 4 out or 5 of my cuticles on my fingers to the point that more than 24 hours later my cuticles are swollen and red. It was very rushed and the nails are crooked. Absolutely awful and as someone that has a cosmetology license there is no way that woman could've have been able to pass a state exam for a legit legal nail license. read more

This review is for individual lash service only. I came across Luxe Nail Bar via a Facebook ad. I looked at the photos and read reviews...then I came to Yelp to see more photos and read more reviews. I decided to schedule an appointment for individual eyelashes on Wednesday. Initially, I was impressed when I walked in the nail salon because it was beautiful and I was greeted immediately. I was lead to one of the back rooms that looked clean, professional and comfortable. The "lash technician" asked if I wanted long, medium or natural lashes" and I responded natural. She "taped" around my eyes and my eyelids; however, it took her a while to gather the supplies she needed to begin applying the lashes (I was uncomfortable during this time). Nevertheless, I was trusting the process and she finally began. Now, let me say that I had never had individual lashes applied before so I didn't know what to expect. The "glue" smelled quite strong but I was trusting the process because I had never had this done before. When she finally finished (took close to an hour), my eyes were watering, uncomfortable and my left eyelid was in some pain. I expressed my concern, she dabbed my eyes and assured me everything would be okay and handed me a mirror. I was in shock because although they looked nice they were not my idea of natural looking. I felt this was my mistake because maybe I should have asked for a visual instead of trusting the "lash technician" idea of natural. She walked me to the front to pay $80 & tells me not to get them wet and to come back in 2 weeks to get them done over. When I got home I immediately regretted my decision to go to the Luxe Nail Bar for lashes so I washed my face (to wet my lashes...thinking they would come off) & they did not come off. As a matter of fact, I noticed that they were unusually hard which may have been causing the pain. So now, I'm stuck with these lashes for the weekend because I was headed out of town for the weekend. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. I got these lashes wet and they would not move. Monday when I got home I tried a hot towel, olive oil, coconut oil, black castor oil and the adhesive was not loosening up at all so I finally decided to call the Luxe Nail Bar to explain my discomfort and I couldn't get them off and the young girl on the phone said I needed to come in the have them removed easily with no pain (she said I shouldn't be trying to pull them off myself). She said that the lash tech would loosen the glue so they would "slide right off, no pain). I arrived within 45 minutes to have them removed and it was one of the most painful experiences. I was walked to the back, my eyes were taped and she began at apply a product that burned my eyes (while they were closed) so badly that I began to cry. I was telling her that it was too painful to please stop and take it off and she said "don't open your eyes, it's part of the process". She told me that my eyes are "just really sensitive". Even after she put the adhesive removal product on my eyes she was scraping and pulling trying to get these individual lashes off. It was NOT easy at all. When she was done she told me to keep my eyes closed, led me to the bathroom to rinse my eyes, handed me a towel, led me to the front and charged me $30. I was in awe that they would charge me $30 to remove the lashes that they added for $80 just 5 days ago. However, I paid the $30. Heck, I would have paid another $80 to have them removed that's how uncomfortable they were. As a matter of fact, my eyes are still watering and I'm still in pain 5 hours later; which I'm sure is from my real lashes being pulled out with that glue. Although, I'm grateful to still have my eye-sight and very few real lashes left (even though they are sparse). I was going to make an appointment to get a manicure and pedicure here but their lack of empathy for me makes me not trust them to do any other service. They made me feel like I did something wrong. The only thing I did wrong was not ask enough questions about the individual lash process and products used to make the best informed decision. Unless you don't mind having individual lashes superglued (my friend said she thinks that's what they used because my lashes shouldn't have been hard) to your real lashes and lash line DO NOT get individual lash service here. I will NEVER go to a nail shop to get eyelashes again. Lesson learned. I encourage you to pay the extra money to have lash extensions applied by a trained lash extension professional who specializes in lash extensions. After this experience, I believe the professional lash extensions are the safest method (other than mascara) to fuller/longer looking lashes. read more

There are some pros and cons to Luxe Nail Bar. The space is beautiful, and they have a wide selection of services. I made an appointment for 6pm on a Friday night, when I got there I informed them I had an appointment and about 15 minutes later was finally seated in a pedicure chair. I had to wait another 20 minutes for someone to come over to start the pedicure. The lady that gave me my pedicure was great! She was very meticulous with both my pedicure and manicure, which was great! I'm very happy with how it came out! I just hope they improve on their appointment organization. There were only 7 people working and 12 customers in chairs, 5 people waiting in excess of 15 minutes and those waiting to even be seated, it was frustrating. read more

Also used the wrong color on my fingers, full set was very thick, square shape overly square, so much glue behind my nails, when I mentioned it she said it will come off after I wash my hands a few times, gel polish very clumpy. Wanted to try this place out after seeing reviews. I have simple nails. I just get a square shape with a single dip color. The first guy that filed my old nails off was very rough and used the wrong grit on my natural nails and has damaged the nail beds, it was painful. After being passed to Jenny she couldn't file my nails straight and they were filed at an angle. I tried explaining to her to please fix it and she tried to tell me that's just how the square shape looks. She didn't get the dip up to the cuticle so it already looked like like they needed a fill. I was so upset because my natural nails had grown so long and Jenny kept filing them shorter and shorter while trying to fix her mistakes. She cut the side of my thumb, twice. I guess she could tell I was upset because she called another guy over and he tried fixing them too but they were still crooked and now the thumb nails were so short. I started crying and told them to please stop touching my nails. The man got mad and waved his hand in my face in a "shoo" motion and told me to just go. I've never been so insulted and poorly treated at a salon in my entire life. I cried and decided to go to Blossom nails @ UTC and they preformed a miracle by fixing what Lux Nails has done. This was our first time visiting this salon. We went because of the great reviews here on Yelp. It was not a good experience at all. We had SNS nails done - my manicurist sped through the process, no manicure at all, just did the SNS. My nails are different lengths and filed crookedly. My mom had SNS and they weren't even done properly. First the gentleman accidentally squirted acetone in her eyes, then filed her nails with the electric nail file and had to stop because it hurt so much. They gave her a different manicurist to finish who did the SNS but her nails already look like they need a fill because she didn't do it properly. My daughter had gel polish done and it was done well. We will NOT go back. $40 + wasted for each of us because we will have to go elsewhere and get our nails fixed. This may be a new salon - the gentleman said they need reviews & business - won't happen doing n - but there is a reason they could take the three of us right away. Stay away! read more

I have very conflicting thoughts about this salon. Yes, personally my nails came out okay, but the service of this place is terrible. They are so rude and mean that it ruined the experience for my friends and I. The phrase "the customer is always right" really does not exists here. When my friend got a pedicure, she asked for no callous cutter. She persisted on doing so anyways. She then said she has to pay it when she clearly said no to it. The rest of the time gave her an attitude and butchered her paint jobs on her toes. They kept trying to sell her gel polish when she clearly just wanted a standard manicure and pedicure. Next off, my other friend was getting dip done. Thank goodness she spoke up and such. The woman doing her nails was so rude to her. She asked for short nails with rounded edges. When the nail tech looked at her nails she said "well then that isn't square round okay" and was extremely rude to her. When doing the too coat the woman didn't fully cure the nails so they were sticky. She then touches the nails making finger prints. She then blames my friend for it. How in the heck is that her fault when she did nothing but sit in the chair and let you take the reigns in her nails??!! I am glad she said something about it or else I would've. The main focus of this place is to just make a sale. They do not care about the actual people or satisfaction of the customer. My woman was not too bad at dip. They aren't perfect but I learned my lesson with this salon. If I were to ever come back I know to stick to my guns and say no. Just for reference if you have the woman I did and you have thick ish eyebrows, you will have to spend a couple minutes saying no to an eyebrow service while she comments about your own. I got the the point of actually exclaiming "I came here for dip not eyebrows. If I wanted my eyebrows done I would've said yes the first time you asked!" Overall, The price paid here is not worth the service you get. Some may walk out with okay looking nails and toes, but the personality of the salon is terrible and I will not be attending here again.
