I use this place as a back up plan when my good salon is busy and every time I come here, they always say they have me booked for the wrong date. I even make them give me a post it paper with the date of my appnt and their signature, they still claim it's the wrong date. The owner said she doesn't care about it, they really don't care about their clients. When they owner doesn't care about the customer, it's a sign to STAY AWAY.... I've been coming here for more than 5 years and never went to any other salon to get my nails done. My manicure and pedicure always come out on point ! Even men compliment me on them ;) ... Recently the nail salon went under new management and Lorena transformed this place completely. It really feels like a nail spa. I love it !! I do have a favorite manicurist, her name is Galdina. I can literally fall asleep and let her work my magic. She's know how I like my nails filed and takes her time with me. It's very clean and all the other manicurists are great and friendly. Horrible place to go to you make an appoitment and you show up 5 minutes earlier then your time and the girl who is supposed to do your nails just started on another customer and asks you to wait 30 more minutes. Walking in this hidden spot next to one of my favorite Turkish restaurant is this bright odorless nail salon. The staff are bilingual in English and Spanish. You will prob have more fun/info if you speak Spanish. What I like about this place besides it's top notch service with competitive price is its cleanness: disposable everything(pedi water container, nail filer, food scrubber) Although they have enough manpower, i will def call ahead to reserve a spot. I moved to Philadelphia and I now only get my nails done when I go back to Brooklyn at this salon, that should say a lot (about how great this place is and my trust issues involving salons). It's ok not great. Not very modern or super clean. A little dated. However Dulce is very sweet and all the ladies give excellent mani/pedi excluding the polish. The nail polish quality seems to be old because even my gel chipped but a basic mani/pedi is ok here. read more

DO NOT COME HERE FOR LCN/GEL NAIL EXTENSIONS OR DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE OWNER This review is for LCN nails and the service done by Lorena. I came to this salon recently to get my first set of gel nail extensions. I've previously worn acrylics quite a few times and wanted a more natural look that would be appropriate for work but yet beautiful and elegant. However, I received nothing even close to that and quite possibly the worst nail service and experience I have ever had in my life. I scheduled an appointment almost a week in advance and was called the day before to confirm. On the call Lorena told me that she would charge me an extra $10 because my nails are short and it would require "extra materials" which I thought was BS but I agreed since I really wanted to have gel nails. (Keep in mind that I'm now paying $75 for the nails and $16 for a pedicure plus tips for each person doing my nails) At the Saturday appointment I was seated at Lorena's desk and she immediately started complaining about my short nails and insisting that because my nails are short, she wants to put tips on my nails. First of all let me say that my nails are a manicured length. They aren't stubs and they're a normal short length because I get them filled at an appropriate length for my job. I immediately declined since I know that a key difference between gel and acrylic nails is that gel nails require NO TIPS further enhancing the natural look. I also thought it was ridiculous that she wanted to put on cheap plastic tips when she was already charging me an extra $10 just because I don't have long nails . HELLO lady most people getting nail extensions don't have long nails. Anyway, she proceeded to have a huge attitude afterwards, pushing and pulling my hands and then rushed the ENTIRE job. My service was so rushed that she made me do my pedicure while continuing to apply gel to my nails while placing the UV lamp on my lap. WHILE IM GETTING MY FEET DONE. wtf!?! Anyway, at the end of the job, my nails looked HORRIBLE. They literally look like CHICLETS or like TEETH on my hands. This lady RUINED my nails so badly that they looked even worse than my regular natural nails. I asked for coffin nails and the shape she gave me was wide and unrecognizable as well as thick like cardboard or some sh*t! As soon as my nails were done, I immediately went to Lorena and said I was unhappy with my nails and she said she could fix them but not at that time, only THREE days later on Tuesday because thats when she'd be next available. As ridiculous as this was, I conceded because I really just wanted to have them look right after all of the time and money I spent ( $91 total plus tip!!!). Fast forward to Tuesday - I come to my appointment after work all the way from Midtown Manhattan EARLY. This is when things got uglier. I go to the front desk and tell Lorena that I'm here for my appointment and this woman has the nerve to act like she has no memory of my appointment. She proceeds to create this entirely fake act of pretending that she never scheduled me for this appointment and literally is trying to act all confused and make me believe that my appointment is actually several days later. Then this lying, scamming woman tells me that she "tried to call me to confirm my appointment" which is complete bullsh*t. I took out my phone and showed my entire call log... She never ever called me and was full of sh*t. She basically was trying to tell me that instead my appointment was scheduled for Friday (which is a blatant lie because I was going on vacation Friday morning) and that I am mistaken. First of all why the hell would I accept an appointment to revise my nails for SIX DAYS LATER? I also knew she was lying because why would she make the case that she called me on Monday to confirm my appointment, a day before Tuesday! If my appointment was supposed to be several days later, then why are you calling to confirm right before Tuesday? SCAM ARTIST!!! Then her whole reason for lying starts to come out. She had someone in her chair whose nails she was doing. She tells me she won't have time to do my nails and that this woman had an appointment to get her nails done too. At this point I'm fuming. Why is that my concern? I don't care if she has an appointment or not, take my ISh off now or else give me my money back! Eventually she finished her nails and got started with me a full 30 minutes later after my scheduled time! At that point I wanted them off because she clearly has no real talent with LCN/Gel nail extensions. And will you guess what else she did? She filed my nails down to pretty much shredded thin strips of nails and then doesn't even offer to put some nail polish or anything to make them look decent or better. I will NEVER EVER go back to this salon. The owner doesn't give a sh*t about her clients and only cares about getting paid and clearly needs her LCN license revoked. The front desk lady was really rude. I called and wanted to know if I can make an appointment, but the lady had an accent so I couldn't understand her from the first time, at which she put the phone further and whispered "ughhhhh oh my god" then put closer and said "what language do you speak?" Ummmmm excuses me? I called you and asked in English and if I did not understand your accent from the first time is not the reason you should stay unprofessionally and make "ugh" noises. But when I came in the woman who was doing my nails were very polite and nice, I enjoyed getting my nails done by her, but the work is kind of sloppy because I was the last customer so I guess the workers just wanted to go home. I was so excited to get my nails done after salons were closed due to COVID-19 but at the same time nervous too. This salon however made it super safe. Came here a few times for a regular mani/pedi with Anita. She is a very sweet lady who didn't want to overdo the conversation (which i totally appreciate). She took her time and did a great job with cuticles, but I had to point out a few corrections for the shape and filing (some sides were still too sharp for my style, i like a square with rounded sides). There is no option for an additional massage time during the pedicure (something i got used to at other salons and kind of missed from the experience). . . they have a good selection of colors also and had the new collections in time for fall when i was there. a bit far from me to be my usual spot, but if i need a safe go to place - I was very happy read more

Luxe Beauty Lounge is great. The owner, Lorena knows how to run a business. She is formerly of Studio 19, has tons of experience as does the rest of her staff and they do a great job. Most of all, the business is extremely clean and sanitary. You get your own disposable liner every time you get a pedicure and your own individual file and buffer every time you get a manicure. She also does great waxing and eyebrows. Prices are very reasonable as well. Her staff is courteous and I am always greeted warmly by everyone when I come in. Most places in the neighborhood are not sanitary and if you want great service and cleanliness this is the place. read more

After having a miserable weekend being snowed in , I decided to treat myself to a mani and I needed a place that was local within walking distance. Thank goodness I found this place that happened to be open in the aftermath of a blizzard . When I came in for a manicure there was zero wait, and there were wonderful colors to choose from ranging from Duri to Essie and color club brands . I also was happy to see an LCN option which is really cool since its light activated . The decor of the place was also beautiful with nice light crystal light fixtures , comfortable seating , clean work stations , leather pedi chairs , and spotless floors . There was about 4 nail techs who spoke Spanish and English and were friendly and professional . They were not in a rush when doing my nails , they are actually perfectionists . I was a bit skeptical when I saw the mani was 10 when other places are 6-8 at most , but you get what you pay for in terms of quality . They filed my nails into a square shape perfectly, they use top notch cuticle oils and have clean sanitized tools , really nice lotions and they don't leave a single nail polish stain on your fingers , every corner of my nails were perfect . They even added quick dry to my nails for no extra charge . The nail stations could use some improvement so I took off a star on that , they only have two dryers that have glitches , the timer kept changing the minutes from 2-4 going up and down , they should invest in new machines . Will not be returning. This place barely deserves one star. So I go in today to get a pedicure and a fill-in. Place is nice. Clean. No one greeted me when I came in. No one asked me what I was getting ok. The wait was 20 minutes...ok I expected that. But I waited 20 minutes only for a nail technician to tell me I could get my pedicure today but won't be able to get a fill-in because the person who does fill-ins won't be in today or tomorrow. WHAT?!? How does that work?? Anyone in the salon (at least two nail technicians) should be able to do fill-ins on any day the salon is open for operation!! You don't tell a new customer or any customer for that matter they have to get a pedicure today and come back to get a fill-in on Tuesday!!! How about I won't return at all!! read more

This spot is absolutely beautiful. I guess it was renovated? I've been going to another spot on kings highway and let me tell you it's absolutely disgusting. They use the same tools and wax (sticks) on every customer. I'm surprised I didn't get an infection by now. This place is super clean. I got a pedicure two weeks ago and they put a plastic cover over to reduce bacteria. Also, she opened a brand new pack of tools. So I'm assuming this is done for every customer which is amazing. A lot of places take the cheaper option and use the same things over and over again on someone. It's absolutely horrible. Today I got a manicure and the service was great!! Definitely recommend. Ive been going to this salon for years. The place was not neat at all, but all the manicurists are very good, Galdina, Ana, Anita, Sandra are my favorite and have worked there for as long as I remember. Other ladies just as good. Last year Lorena took ownership and place changed completely! She improved and remodeled salon and implemented disposable instruments and inserts for pedi. It's very clean, classy and fancy now. The service also improved, scrub for your legs is to die for! You can bring a picture of design you want and they will do it, Highly recommend! read more

I came here a few times because i needed a quick manicure after work and it was not busy. Tried this nail salon twice, first time it was good (except that the nail polish was so bad that I had to re-do it next day), but they used new nail files for each customer which I liked and decided to come back again.
