I notice that this location got new management , and I wanted to give it a try . I LOVE LOVE LOVE . Irene took care of me and new what I was going for and made my nails look so damn good . When I look up there social media page and how clean they do designs I can't wait to go back and design them. If you from bayridge and visit before the setup is the same but with new color tones /furniture. They're had distancing tools like pre wrap sinks for pedicures and the transparent walls on the desk. This nail salon stood out as I was passing by due to its sleek aesthetic. I also noticed they had a flyer advertising deals for grand opening and they had a $35 mani pedi deal! This is actually my first time getting a mani pedi. It was 6pm when my sister and I arrived and there were only 2 staff. Because the other technician was already occupied, my sis and I had to take turns. To start off, we're led to massage chairs where we soak our feet. In between the soaking, the technician trimmed our nails, buffed them, rubbed lotions on our feet and legs, and filed them into a nice shape. This felt really therapeutic. We were given a stack of colors to chose and I loved my toes looked. Next came the manicure. We had gotten really excited because we asked if we could do a design and she said yes. What we meant to ask was if the design was included in the special promo. We should have clarified but I also would have appreciated if she just told us it was an extra charge of $15 when we asked. Before the mani, the cuticles are pushed back with a tool, and the nails are shaped and buffed. The painting process itself was pretty quick and the design I wanted was replicated almost exactly. We were warned the normal polish would not last long but mine actually chipped before I even left. The tech was so nice and fixed one of the chips in addition to adding cuticle oil to our dry nailbeds. The prices here are fair and the salon is very clean and comfortable. Stumbled here while walking past and thought why not--- I am so glad I did!! This salon is clean and new and the staff inside are welcoming. I was seated in a pedicure chair right away. It did have massage settings which was nice and comfortable. Their color selection was pretty solid! For the pedicure, I had the Signature which included a mud mask, hot towels, an exfoliant, 15 minute reflexology and callus removal. It was heavenly and my nail tech was diligent. Shout out to Flower, she was amazing! For the SNS manicure, I was seated in a chair across and provided a mini water bottle. The chair had good support for shoulders, usually I wedge my purse on the small of my back but this chair was comfortable. There was a clear barrier between me and the nail tech for Covid- which was nice. She took her time making sure everything was done well and rounded it out with a shoulder massage. I enjoyed it all! I am very particular with my nail salons and I appreciated that this was clean, the staff was kind and courteous, it was well air conditioned and you were seated in appropriate amount of time. I cut my nails a week prior to this appointment so I stuck with a solid color but I saw neighboring clients having beautiful trendy designs so I'll be sure to try that next time when they are longer as I didn't want tips. Ironically the reason I ended up here was pure luck. I had called a nail salon a few doors down and when I walked into that neighboring salon- I saw that despite me making an appointment- there was a long line in a cramped room and it was muggy and looked dirty to be honest . I walked in late Saturday morning and was seen right away to remove my old gel manicure and get a new dip (SNS) manicure. They removed my gels gently without drilling them off like some other spots did. My nails are shaped beautifully and are perfectly even, exactly how I wanted them. The dip manicure came out fantastic, and unlike some other places, there was no damage to my cuticles and the sides of my skin weren't filed off. They also have a great color collection and do beautiful designs. I am so happy with my nails and at $40 for a dip manicure you can't beat it. This is my new spot! read more

Had a regular manicure today with a young man who said he was filling in for the day and was from their nail salon on Connecticut. It was $12. The water was hot in the bowl to soak my nails, so I kept taking my hand out. He kept pushing it back in. I finally said it's too hot. He did nothing. He barely cut cuticles and applied the polish leaving a space (which is very visible) from the cuticle to where he started applying the polish, and it does not look good. When I told him what shape I wanted my nails filed (square w=round corners) he made them square. I asked him to round the edges. They didn't look good with what he fixed them to be. I didn't leave him a tip. He didn't deserve one. When I got home and fixed something to eat, I washed up with gloves. I noticed two chipped/indentations on two of my nails. That should not happen. I'm reluctant to go back & ask them to fix them. Very dissatisfied. read more

I made an appointment for a paraffin pedicure $40 (which was absolutely heavenly) and SNS dip powder with tips. I had to reschedule last minute and the receptionist was very professional and rescheduled my appointment for my sister and I. The day came when we had to go in, we were the first ones there so we were led to our pedicure chairs. I had flower for my pedicure, she was great and had my toes looking in point! She also had someone waiting for a little while and did not try to rush me out of the chair. She really took her time and made sure I was happy with everything. Her customer service skills were great, my polish kept separating and she did not let me leave until it was fixed which I really appreciated. Next we're my nails, and I requested Irene for this portion. My nails came out nice, but the before care and customer service wasn't the greatest. She did not cut my cuticles/dry cut. Pushed them back, or anything. She just slapped on a nail tip and dipped it into the powder. So yea, my nails look good, but it overall looked weird because the rest of my nail looked unkept. I know some people do all of that before or after the finished set but she just led me to the register to pay. She didn't look happy or pleasant in being there, did not look up at me or speak to me once. The customer service portion wasn't good really at all. They are also pretty low staff, I was there for a few hours and it was only Irene, Flower and one other worker. And they were trying to juggle quite a few people at a time, which isn't too great. The way you pay is very high tech, pretty cool, they give you a rewards card and everything. I don't know if I'll be back, but if I do maybe I'll try flower as my technician. We will see. read more

I'm only giving this place 2 stars instead of 1, for discounting the acrylics after nipping my cuticles so bad it took an hour to control the bleeding. I shouldn't have had to negotiate a discount, but it bought them an extra star. This is a post for the outdated, sloppy, bubbled acrylics and terrible pedicure. I thoroughly read reviews on Google prior to going and now I am positive those good are fake. $40 gel pedicure, barely any cleaning done, got burned with the nail drill multiple times, and streaks in the paint. After curing my nails, she noticed a large string of dust got on the paint. Had to file off the fresh gel and repaint it. Then clipped my cuticle when it came to the manicure. I was patient up until this point. The manager stepped in and took over when the new girl caused me to bleed and we couldn't control it. I thought the service would improve however the acrylics were applied CROOKED. They're very puffy, the sides were ignored, and the style is completely outdated. The entire salon needs to refresh how to do nails. I'm not mad at the new girl I'm mad she wasn't supervised and the manager did a terrible job on top of it. First and last time read more

I live in Manhattan and I was visiting my best friend who lives in Bay Ridge area, who I hardly get to see, and we decided to get our nails done. The nail salon that we wanted to go to was closed so we stumbled upon this salon and there were no other customers inside, so we walked in. We asked for color gel manicures and regular pedicures and we settled in. They seemed friendly and professional but my friend is fluent in Mandarin (although she does not appear to be) and overheard all the rude things that the employees were saying about us. I did not understand them, so I had no idea until my friend told me everything after we left. My friend was kind enough to keep quiet and let me sit there in peace. She also wanted to avoid a bad manicure and confrontation. Nevertheless, she told me that one nail technician said that "the last time she saw feet like these were with an old man. " Well, yes, my callouses are really bad, which is why I am getting a pedicure and I even asked for the $6 callous removal, which wasn't even worth it because the nail technician did not try very hard to remove the callous, even though she affirmed how bad my feet were. I've paid for callous removal before and there are other technicians who can do a much better job. And the employees also judged me for wearing a dress and stockings to the nail salon. One specifically said, "Who dresses like this to a nail salon?" Um. I don't know. Maybe somebody who has somewhere to be and enjoys fashion? Was it such a big deal to let me borrow the restroom to remove my stockings? You know, talking about people behind their backs is all fun and games until you get caught. Unless you want to be sitting in a room where everyone is talking about you, you may want to choose another nail salon. Listen, everybody talks behind everyone but right in-front of the customer as if we are stupid? I am Chinese and I look like it too. I don't know how they have the nerve to just shit talk in-front of you when there is a slight chance that I might understand! There is literally a nail salon on every single block on 3rd Avenue and its vicinity, so it'd be wise for Bell Salon to be a bit more competitive. It's a shame because the nail technician did do a good job with the color gel. Perhaps she should stick to manicures since she doesn't seem to have the stomach for pedicures. If she does pedicures for a living, she shouldn't be so surprised with the condition of my feet. I'm not proud of my feet. I work in luxury fashion retail industry so I am on my feet 9+ hours a day, 5 days a week, wearing formal shoes. So yes, my feet are gross. I understand what it is like to unwillingly give exceptional customer service to rude people. However, I was nothing but polite to the nail technicians so I don't feel that I deserved to be so unwelcome. I would have tipped the nail technician less than $10 if I had known she was talking shit about me. Then again, I shouldn't be so surprised that nail technicians talk about you just because they can. My nail technician smiled and thanked me when I tipped her and the owner also gave us a complimentary hand lotion and VIP points card. The main nail tech Irene is very very good. She is elite in designs and she is very good with detailing. Super attentive. She is honestly great! I been to her about 4 or 5 times, usually getting UV gel filling and in some cases pedicures depending on how much time I had. She one day recommended I start doing the Gel X , which I didn't know what they were at the time but they are pretty much like press on nails that you have to remove and reapply. I went for it and got it done, at the moment I wasn't over thinking things and how much I use my hands at home and work. I pay and go home, she calls me the next day and ask if my nails are fine and I tell her yes, y wouldn't they? She explains that some people have complained about the nails falling off before they are suppose to which according to her they are supposed to hold up about 3 weeks or so. She stated if anything was to happen to hit her up, sure enough less then a week later 2 nails had fell off and I texted her and she apologized. That was it! Now I HATE and I mean hate having my nails look like Crap! To now have 2 nails off but I had no time to get them off or redone so crackhead hands it was for the next 3 weeks. So I went back to her when I had time which was 3 weeks later but this time I got just regular gel manicure and pedicure, she didn't even attempt to discount anything after knowing what she recommended did not hold up, which I was cool with but I walked out of there saying I would not return due to that matter! I paid 65.00 in just designs for that Gel X set that was down the drain in less than 1 week and she did not even discount 5 dollars for the inconvenience of crackhead hands. read more
