We went here based on my friend who is a regular at their salon. We needed to get a manicure and pedicure for my upcoming wedding. My friend suggested getting there early when they open since they tend to get busy during the day. We got there and the girls were able to seat us next to each other for our pedicures. I had Hannah at the beginning helping me she did a great job cleaning up and applying the nail polish, but there was a little miscommunication of the design I wanted. Luckily Eve was able to come to the rescue to fix my gel manicure how I wanted it. She even added some small rhinestones to give it a little extra sparkle. Came here with two friends to get a manicure and pedicure. I ended up here since my friend lives nearby and comes here frequently. Chairs for the pedicure are also massage chairs that have several adjustable settings. The foot baths were lined with plastic so it's clean in that aspect. Also had some lights for an interesting effect. The manicure took place at a basic nail desk. The nail technicians had their license/certificates displayed behind them. I liked the fact that the light used to set the gel were placed inside the desk so that your eyes were protected from the light. The gel polish has a nice shine and has an even coating overall. The technicians were quite efficient and provided good service. Price for a pedicure with regular polish and a manicure with gel polish came to $40. read more

First time giving this place a try. The service is amazing. I accidentally responded in Chinese to one of the ladies and I found myself speaking to four women in Cantonese and mandarin. They were very curious about how a Latino was able to speak Chinese. It was a great experience to just chat a bit. The foot bath looks a bit old but they place a barrier so that you aren't actually touching it. Many locals come here and you can tell they're loyal customers. $15 for a pedi or $36 for a spa pedi which includes a foot and leg mask with a massage. The massage is about a 2/5 tbh but they try I guess. Overall, the fact that locals continue to come and that they're welcoming of new clientele is great. I was miserable the entire time, knowing i was going to have ugly nails. The acrylic was bumpy, the gel polish was lifting off MY CUTICLE, how do I have polish on my cuticle?!!!! I also got a gel pedicure, the girl was pretty good so I decided to just deal with the ugly nails for two weeks. But when i got home, the gel had chipped off my thumb, literally in less than 8 hours. And my toes chipped right after I showered. So now here I am pissed that I paid 95$ plus the tip (i work in the service industry so I never leave a place without tipping even if my experience was horrible). I called before coming asking how much short gel acrylic nails would be with half chrome on it she said 65$ I come in and she charged me 110$ mind you she only wanted to put one coat of nail polish on my nails which no nail salon I've been to has ever ONLY put 1 coat it's always 2 coats the least.. I also brought my sister she got gel pedicure and gel acrylic with 1 jewel on each nail she charged her 225$!!! On top of that she charged 25$ more for using card Idk if she thought we were white or something bc we're both very light skin ( when we're not we're Spanish) but she charged us an insane amount and our nails only lasted us a week and a half even if it was gel! Let me start off by saying that this is probably the ONLY nail salon I will go to after trying billions of salons. It is a bit pricy but thats only because I refuse to do anything but Gel. &+ You pay for what you get which I cannot complain about. I went to this salon because it was next door to my hotel I was staying in. Got my eyebrows done first and the lady was very nice and did a fantastic job. Came back later for a pedi and sns dip manicure ..... the lady who did my feet was good. She also ended up doing most of the shaping for my fingers as well but for some reason the other girl wanted to color them ....really wish she hadn't because I did not like her work at all. It was very bulky and not st all seamless like the dip is supposed to be. . I get this type of manicure ALL THE TIME so I know it can look better. But I was in such a rush I couldn't bother asking her to fix it. Especially when she was already moving so slow. I noticed the denting and how the polish at my cuticle line was tacky but I was willing to deal with it since going here was obviously going to be a hit or miss. I was visiting town so it was expected. But now. It's been 3 days and I've had chipping and cracking ! Which is just unacceptable smh..dip powder is supposed to last basically as long as acrylic--or at LEAST a week lol. Gel lasts 2 weeks. And I didn't even make it to 3 days. . I'm really annoyed because I spent $87 there and have to get them fixed again elsewhere. Since I don't live there I can't go back and have them fix it and even if I did still live in NYC I would have to give an hour of my time to get them fixed. And it's not just one nail it's 4! Smh. So I would not recommend them. For a basic pedi sure... and for eyebrows definitely I LOVE my brows and the girl was friendly. But never for a dip manicure (sns. ANC. I ended up with uneven lines, the lady did not bother to fix them. Bad nail polish was used and I was charged $55 for something that looked like a 7yr old kid's work. My usual nail tech was busy at another nail salon so I came here for an acrylic fill-in. Saw Eve and she did a very quick but good job (or so I thought). I brought my own nail polish and didn't get any design or stones because I like my nails simple. Every thing was fine until I got the bill- $38 for a FILL IN. However, I bit the bullet because I didn't ask beforehand and paid it. Less than a week later my pointer finger broke in half. All that was left was my real nail which is fairly short with acrylic on top. I went back to have it fixed and she again made quick (painful) work of it and then proceeded to try and charge me an additional $5, and didn't even paint the nail, because it was my nail polish originally and she "doesn't have" a color match. NEVER AGAIN. Anywhere else you go on 5th Avenue the quality is just the same and they don't try to beat you with the price. A fill in is usually about $18 not $38. Go elsewhere! read more

Beware of who you get. I would rate this place.... 1.5 stars. There's hope that this place has a few good manicurists.. I was sitting next to a woman who was from Staten Island, so I figured she must be loyal to the place or to at least her manicurist to travel this far. I overheard her say to her lady, oh you messed up, you never do that. And of course her lady fixed the issue. I thought maybe the SI woman was being a little pushy to her manicurist but now I realized I should've spoken up or left before any damage could be done. Not everyone had their license posted.. so I didn't think much about it. But now I"m 100% sure my girl did not have her license at all. And I say girl because she was the youngest person in the room. I asked for her to CLIP my nails and that I would like them to be shaped square. She filed them down all the way (my nails could have been clipped, trust me) and tore up the sensitive skin underneath my nails. I couldn't believe it. She wasted 15 mins of both our lives filing my nails UNEVENLY and with points. I showed my gf what happened to my nails and she said she's never seen a manicurist try to do a literal square. I literally could cut myself with these points. I can't believe it. It makes me think she's never ever seen a picture of manicured hands. My friend and i both left with uneven paint jobs, they poorly did our cuticles (we still have them), and she left with paint on her skin. What? Oh any my unlicensed girl? She didn't fully paint my nails. I'm sorry.. if i wanted a bad job done, I would've done them myself! This place is newish (yelp and google didn't have this place listed but yelowpages and 4sq does) so I'm not sure if they could have many loyal customers yet but they will hardly have repeat customers if they don't send their employees to get their certificates/licenses. They don't even have a proper dry station.. they have two seats. My friend and i had to say at our stations and use the side fans to dry. Her manicurist went on to eat her lunch in front of her and i turned sideways cause i couldn't face my girl i was so upset and confused by what I paid for. So don't go when the manicurists would be hungry (1 - 3 pm ish) and maybe ask the ladies who are leaving if they like the job their manicurist did. (I can understand why someone would leave paint on someone's skin because they were trying to rush through a job to eat. But I still have no idea what I paid for.) I'll just go to Bay Ridge or Bensonhurst for a nail salon. read more

Worst manicure ever. Not sure if the nail polish used was really OPI because, with no exaggeration, the polish looked washed off by the next day. Completely chipped on each nail by the 3rd day. Cuticles snatched to shreds; the manicurist zipped through without a strategy... *sigh* just disappointing all around. For the pedi, her idea of a design was elementary at best. Also, while they do use disposable liners in the foot basin, the utensils are not brand new and obviously reused. I started coming here for gel manicures and pedicures years ago. Manicure- Finally I met Shirley and I stuck to her, she basically knows I get the same color every time "put it in neutral" OPI. I get the same shape, almond and I love it! She does a good job and she tells you what's best for your nail at the moment to get the desired shape as an end result. I also do powder set, takes a bit longer but its worth it. She's professional and very nice! Pedicures- after trying different ladies, Wendy is the GO TO. I've saved myself several visits to the podiatrist because of her. She really does go to town if you left her. My ingrown nails are terrible and painful but she manages to remove them. She's the best!! I use to do my brows with Eve, she's great as well! read more
