    Gel mani
    Natalia P.

This place is a neighborhood nail salon. Owner, Benny, appears to be widely liked by whoever comes in. I've been here 4 times. 3 times I got gel mani and twice pedicure. Place gets packed usually, however when I went today (Saturday) it was pretty empty, almost no wait time. Salon has a lot of color options. Many regular Essie nail polishes, as well as, many options for gel. Unfortunately, no OPI gel (they do carry Perfect Match, Mood gel, and some other less known to me brand). However, they offer metallics, glitters and the "cracked" look. The way they do things is a bit different to what I'm used to. For gel mani they only soak off nails in acetone but they don't soak nails/cuticles in water. They also don't make you wash hands after they file them.... they don't use sterile tools, they spray cuticle cutters with something (alcohol, maybe?). I usually grow to love nail salon over time. All in all, I like my gel manicure. And if you're able to stand some pretty terrible "DJ-ing" where songs switch mid song and you like disco music, you should be fine here.

I mean if you want bubbly nail polish and paint on your skin and cuticles. It seemed clean however. Huge language barrier, and I speak 2 languages so I thought I'd be ok. It's $2 for flip flops

Got my nails done by Benny and I'm so in love. I did gel and it came out to 35. Wonderful service.

I had a mani and pedi same color. I did gel for my hands and regular polish for my feet. But when I got home my hands changed to a different color? Not sure but maybe the gel didn't set entirely under the lamp. The salon and staff are nice. Took their time servicing me even during COVID, didn't rush me like other salons I went to. Otherwise it's nice. Disposable sink bags and sterilized tools for pedi.

This is my second time going to this nail salon. And honestly its my new spot now , the place is clean and the workers are all super nice. This is my second time getting my nails done with Benny and let me just say that he is the best. He takes his time in doing your nails and is always making sure that you get what you ask for. He does get busy at times but the wait time is definitely worth it !! Overall I highly recommend this place as the workers are all super nice and the prices are reasonable .

Amazing!! Even in covid saved me because I went to another salon and they were terrible and messed up my nail bed. What I get for going somewhere else best spot!!!!

    Regular manicure sheer pink

My regular manicure came out nice. I'm not satisfied with my eyebrows. She said my eyebrows are different shapes, then when it was over, I've never seen my eyebrows so thin. I'll have to grow them out again. it's clean and well air conditioned in here. They aren't that friendly, and they don't have nail dryers, just portable desk fans. I'm happy with the way the manicure came out. They're not polite, and I had to move my bag off the chair so many times, but they have stools for your bag. They just aren't very accommodating to your needs and questions.

    Benny YOU ARE #1

BENNY YOU ARE THE BEST , thank you for taking your time doing my nails :* , i love this nail salon located in sunset park because it is clean and not dirty . he gets really busy which says alot about his service .

The most modern and appealing nail salon in the Sunset Park area. Benny is the go to guy for designs and full sets however everyone is fairly talented. This place gets packed in the late afternoon, so I recommend going early. This is more affordable compared to bay ridge nail salon prices but a cost a little more compared to all the other nail salons in Sunset. I've went around 7 times already and am highly pleased. Definitely recommend

My very first visit was in summer 2017 & it was the last time I got my nails done before 1/27/18. I had a good experience & I decided to return recently. Jan. 27, 2018 I came in for tips& li li took care of me. I showed her a picture (gel)of what I wanted except in regular polish. I was just really excited to get my nails done because I haven't in a while. So I wasn't paying too much attention to what she was doing. While she was painting my Nails I asked her if they have quick dry oil. She said yes but still need to dry a little bit. So I said that's fine. I guess she forgot to give me ??? I had to wait for my friend so I didn't mind just letting them dry on its own by the machines. So I didn't bother asking again. I get home I'm just looking at them and I see my nails up in a angle NOT flat. When I went it was crowded, don't know if she rushed on my nails so she can take more customers, but my nails wasn't cute. I paid $25 + $1 credit card fee + $5 tips. The more I looked at my nails. The more flaws I find. My left pinky was on such a angle. I wish I took pictures because it was THAT bad. My right ring finger was also on an angle( you can see it if you look really closely ) aside from having my nails on a angle. My nails were painted TERRIBLE. my second layer of polish's line was so off. FEB 12,2018 I came in for a fill ( with 3 broke off nail) Li li took care of me and she used a cuticle clipper to get rid of my lifting. ( this is very damaging to your nail beds & salons should never be doing this.) I didn't stop her because they do what they do best. As she used the clipper to clip my lifted acrylics off she ended up removing 2 easily ( I guess the nails just had to go ) so when she begins to glue a new tip on my bare nails I asked if she can do coffin shape ( I had oval ) she told me , want to take off and do coffin ? As I was thinking she tells me $25 + $5 coffin shape.( full set is $23 , fill is $16. From what I saw on the price board ) Don't know if she meant to charge me $5 for take off or $5 extra for the coffin shape. Because when I went 16 days prior to this my friend did coffin & she was charge $25+ $1credit card fee. So when she was taking off my acrylics left my on nails. She used a nail clippers to clip off and kinda ripping it off. The process didn't hurt but I've done my research & with past experiences that's not how you take off acrylics. I was a little frustrated coming in for just a fill & having to end up paying $36 in total including tip. not only having to pay for a new set , my tips weren't straight. They look like they're on a 45 degree angle. Like a ramp as my friend described. Anyways what really got me frustrated enough to write a review is the fact that I felt one of my nails not even ( I felt a small bump) I asked her to fix it. ( at this time she has finished filing down my left hand. And on my right. I felt the small bump on my left middle finger nail) she looked and was going to file ( but I guess she didn't see a big or bad bump ) she told me I fix it with the buffer. She buffed my nails but the bump was still there. You can definitely feel the difference between the middle finger nail & all the other nails. Now I'm just stuck with it and it bothers me so got damn much. So I asked for a very simple Design with gold tape. ( attached picture ) but she used glitter instead of what I asked for ???? & the glitter wasn't even. At this point I just gave up on asking for anymore. At last she painted the top coat & I asked for oil drops because I had to leave soon for work. So I get home & just look closely at my nails & I get more frustrated to find out my index, pinky and thumb nails all don't have same length. I'm not a picky nail person but it was just annoying how I gave the salon a 2nd try and I still find flaws in my nails. I mean if I can find the flaws shouldn't you be able to as a nail technician????? Overall experience: nice staffs but not so much on the nails. A lot of people come in for Benny but both times I came he wasn't available. They offer a good range of colors for nails! I experienced Uneven length , unclear pricing, not getting what you've asked for, doesn't cut it for me. Don't think I'll be returning. Very disappointed!

New business management and new business name: Magnolia Nail Spa 4 The inside of the shop is still the same as old business Le Charme but it's not the same. Service and quality isn't the same under their old manager Ryan. I personally felt like it was a trap that they continue to use the LeCharme name and website when they had clearly changed. I was confused when I arrived and saw the name change but still gave them a chance as I had booked an appointment via Le Charme website and only had that day to get my nails done before going to a wedding on the West Coast. Also, even though I had an Spa Pedicure appointment for 10AM (opening time) I still had to wait. Other customers came in (either appt or walk in) and were seen first... they also had to call for more Nail technicians to come. I sat at the manicure station flipping through gel color templates waiting for Nail tech to see me. I already choose but waiting, at one point they had forgotten me until someone asked me what I wanted and I had to repeat myself again. I picked a spa pedicure treatment and selected gel as I heard gel last longer. It was my first time getting gel but I wanted to look my best for the wedding I'll be attending. I asked for paraffin wax for my feet and callus treatment. They were confused and said paraffin is already included in the spa package (I remember it is usually for heel only and I wanted for the entire feet) but they insisted it was included and for the entire feet, so I said okay and let them do their thing. Service was decent but my nail tech had rushed and missed a few spot. She didn't apply the polish carefully and throughly. It was like coloring your hair, they always leave a gap from the hairline so you can return for touchup. In my pic, you can see my toes didn't look as nice and pic was taken about 1.5-2hrs later (after appointment, I had quick lunch and went straight home). While I did enjoy the spa pedicure, because I wanted to pamper my feet, she was abit rough at times and rushed it. And no, she didn't apply paraffin wax to the entire feet; just the heel. I was willing to pay extra but they didn't do that. If you don't know, paraffin wax help rehydrate and trap in moisture and it's particularly effective for those who often get calluses to help in removing dead skin, and healing dry patches. It acts like a form of heat therapy and can help increase blood flow, relax muscles, and decrease joint stiffness. It can also minimize spasms and inflammation as well as treat sprains. When it was time to pay, I thought I would have to shell out more for everything as I didn't know what the actual cost would be. I wanted Spa Pedicure package with Gel Color. Callus Treatment $10, Gel pedicure $55 & Spa Pedicure $45. I had assumed they would charge abit extra for the Gel coloring ontop of the Spa Pedicure package. After I paid and walked out (no receipt was given to me and I had hope to take a pic of the bill but the total was present quickly to me and was out of my view) and walked down the street, the owner lady came out chasing me saying I needed to pay more. I follow back and she said something else was charged to me.. again wasn't able to see the bill and had to trust her word and paid more. I finally left and disappointed later on when I examined my feet at home. I think its time to find a new Nail Salon.

The technician repeatedly focused on the corner of one toenail that appeared completely fine, continuing to poke and cut at the area despite there being no visible issue. She also seemed visibly frustrated throughout the service, sucking her teeth in frustration as she went over this area again and again with the cuticle cutters, which added to the discomfort. Now, 6 days later, I'm experiencing pain and warmth in that toe, which makes me concerned that the excessive cutting has resulted in irritation and may have even caused an ingrown toenail -- not cool, very awkward & disappointing experience. Manicure: The manicure itself was acceptable, but the process felt inconsistent and unstructured. Each hand was treated differently, and tools--specifically the cuticle nipper--were not cleaned during the service, resulting in visible buildup of cuticle cuttings on the tool, which was unpleasant and concerning from a hygiene standpoint. Overall, this experience left me uncomfortable and disappointed, and I wouldn't return.

I had what might be the most unpleasant nail appointment I've ever sat through. From the start, she was rushing, and not in a subtle way. When I politely asked her to ease up because she was hurting me, she barely grazed her glove and said "see? Doesn't hurt" -- completely dismissing what I was telling her about my own pain. She then continued at the same pace and pressure. Being heard was simply not on the agenda. The quality of the work matched the attitude. One of my nails had a visible thread of polish hanging off it, clearly about to crack, and when I pointed it out she told me she didn't know what I was talking about and couldn't see anything. I could see it. And sure enough, by the end of the same day, that nail had already cracked and was looking overgrown. Same-day results like that tell you everything you need to know. I paid good money to leave feeling dismissed, hurt, and with nails that were already failing before I got home. Come on in. I came at 4 PM on a Wednesday. There were only 2 other people in the salon and it was very quiet. As soon as I sat down, I asked the manicurist if she could do the design I showed her a picture of (French tips with opal white instead of plain white). She said no problem and took a photo of my photo with her own phone and sent it to someone. She removed my powder gel fine and shaped my nails as I requested. Then comes time for the painting! I ask her if she is comfortable with the design I show her a picture, she said yes no problem. I say great! She begins using white to draw my French and I ask if she has Pearl white instead of regular white like the picture shows. She said she would do the pearl afterwards. When it comes time for the pearl white, she uses a multicolored glittery color that has no resemblance to the photo I showed. It is seemingly yellow from the angle I was looking at it. Eek! She asked if I liked it and I said it's not like the photo at all, that it's rainbow not pearly white. She told me they don't have the pearly white color. I said to keep the white then, although I definately would have asked for baby pink tips if I knew pearly white wasn't an option. I'm not sure why they didn't tell me they don't have pearly white as an option so I could request another design. I was so frustrated that I showed the photo to 2 people and they both said they could do the design no problem. I walked out with a French manicure that I did not like the look of and was so unhappy. It has been 3 days and now 4 of my nails have chipped on the white tips (just as other reviewers have said). I am shocked and honestly just frustrated I have to spend another $50 somewhere else to replace the brand new manicure I have now.
