I'm a regular at Lux Nails! I always request Linh. I love how she is so gentle and takes her time. I've been to many different nail places before here and this nail place is the best by far. I normally get full acrylic sets and an eyebrow wax cleanup. She even does my eyebrows well! I didn't see many recent reviews so here are my most recent sets that I've gotten done by Linh. I honestly just come in, show her an inspo pic and let her know she can do whatever she thinks would look good. Shop also is very bright clean with nice music playing. Called in and set an appointment same day. I ended up having to push out the time due to my schedule and they were super nice and accommodating about it. I got to work with Jason and man... he's so awesome! I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he did exactly just that. He made sure to ask questions and made sure I liked every step of the process before he continued. I really enjoyed my experience with him. The facility is very clean and a super great environment. OMG I used to go all the time- clean place, the Guys are great. The women are rude and nasty. Especially the front desk teenage! Well shes probably 18 yrs and on a power trip! I came 10 min early , checked in and I said I know Im early.. She was snarky and said You just have to wait! -- ok I know that.. geezz. I m handicapped and walk with a cane. eventually they told me to go to the last chair by the wall, I m slowly walking over there and the gal shouts out hurry hurry chop chop! and they all Laughed! I was shocked.. I said Im going as fast as I can.. making fun of Hadicapped omg! she never spoke or looked at me the whole pedicure.. I tipped her 10bucks just to show her I have more class than to lower myself to your level.. then she smiled and oh let me help you! NEVER AGAIN .. A friend of mine booked appointments for us both on a weekend and it was great decision because the place looked like it was pretty popular with people pouring in every few minutes . Firstly -Even though its not really big the place still has a very spacious , bright and inviting ambience . Its done up in neutrals and has a relaxed and calming vibe . We decided to treat ourselves and get the Jelly pedicure . It involved a jelly soak and massage and mask as well as a hot stone massage . Now if you have never had a jelly pedicure before let me tell you it's a little different from the regular one in the sense that the jelly does retain heat longer and also exfoliates . Texture wise its very different and relaxing , I personally don't know if the jelly has any real benefits other than that .The staff was sweet and helpful and did a great job, I would have liked the massage to be a bit better but that was the only negative I can think of . It was a tad bit on the pricier side but I think that's more to do with my choice of pedi . Lots of parking right out front . read more

Do not go here. It's a natural nail chop shop. I came in with long natural nails, asking for a gel overlay manicure with designs. Specifically scheduled with Reanna - her work online looked great. In person on natural - very far from the case. She used a drill bit on my natural nails. That should say it all. I left with my nails way shorts and very brittle. I tried to to ask for a nail overlay, didn't get that. I tried to explain my nails would now break - I'm missing a thumb and three others are splitting on the sides. When I voiced my concerns - she irritatingly said they'll grow back. Not the point and very inconsiderate. To top it off the design is crooked. read more

Highly recommend the Jelly Pedicure! Omg this was so amazing! I had surgery on my foot in July and I was able to finally get a pedicure that I so desperately needed. She was very gentle and cautious of my still internally healing left foot. I highly recommend this salon. Very professional, talented, kind, thoughtful, and pleasant techs. Did a walk in today for a pedicure, when I had googled they had good reviews so wanted to check it out. They were able to get me in right away which was awesome because they were decently busy for an afternoon. Before tip my pedicure with gel polish was 84$ and I had chosen to do the bath bomb pedicure so it was one of the more deluxe ones but they did have options that were less. The employees were all very nice and the vibe Inside was calm and relaxing. The pedicure chairs were great and did a good back massage. They offered drinks alcoholic and non which is always a great touch. I will be going back for sure read more

First time coming to Lux nails and I had a great experience with Linh. I don't get my nails done often at all so I'm the type of person who won't say anything normally, but this time I did say things I wanted fixed because I am going on a trip and wanted them to look good. I probably was annoying because I mentioned the the shape and the length a few times and she listened. I wanted them to originally me square oval but she recommended almond shaped like the photo I showed her. I had almond shaped nails before and the person who did them before made them super ugly so my previous experience wasn't good so I was skeptical. I thought I would take a chance since this place did have good ratings. I'm glad I did take a chance because they ended up turning out great. I definitely will be recommending my friends and family on coming to Lux and to Linh. She was very patient and thorough with her work and so gentle. I admired the fact she was so gentle with my hands because I work in healthcare and must admit am a nail biter as well... I know bad habit that I'm trying to stop. But man when I tell you that fact that she was gentle it was very assuring that she cares for her customers and takes pride in her work. Thank you Linh. Also, wanted to add that the staff was friendly too and they do offer you a beverage. Linh she offered me something to drink but I declined. If you're 21+ you can get an alcoholic beverage, unsure if it cost extra or not. Usually when I came to this place they did a great job. Idk what happened cause this time around it wasn't the greatest experience. They charge more than most shops in Vancouver so I have a level of expectation if I'm paying more. I can honestly say it wasn't worth the price. I just had a basic pedi & the massage wasn't even a massage. The lady barley pet me. Lol it was more annoying than it was relaxing. Also they had me wait in the chair for almost 30 min until someone finally serviced me (and I made an appointment) Besides them being nice, there's nothing else I really liked about this place. I decided to try this place based on their pictures as I regularly get acrylic sets with designs. Horrible service. I made an appointment for 3pm and was still skipped by a walk in and waited 20 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start just to be sat for the pedicure. The water was cold, I had to ask twice for warm water, no one came to start my pedicure for another 10-15 minutes. Then the nail tech had her headphones in and was talking on the phone the entire time, she was very rough and ruined the shape of my nails. A lady who was sat next to me ordered the exact same pedicure "Lux Pedicure" as me, even though it took 10-15 minutes to start mine, I was done about 5 minutes before her because my tech hardly did the massage included with the price at all. When I was done with the pedicure they told me to wait and someone will come get me for my manicure while she went and did someone else's manicure even though I had an appointment. I ended up leaving after waiting 15 more minutes. What a waste, 64 dollars and 2 hours for the worst pedicure. Will not be returning read more
