This was my first time here and it was a great experience! I got a mani pedi (regular nail polish) and they were fast, gentle, and sanitary! I loved that they also offered wine and mimosas (which I'll definitely try next time when I'm not on a time crunch). didn't have the best experience. Went in for a pedicure with a girlfriend and they were very rough with our feet. A couple of times I had to tell the lady that hurts. she also cut my nails so short I got an ingrown toenail on my big toe and I have never had one. which in my experience now knowing is very painful. Dont know if we caught them on a bad day but most likely will not be returning. read more

I love this nail salon! They're one of they very few that take acrylic off the right way with acetone instead of running a nail tip under the acrylic. I broke my nail right after getting them done here, and were so kind to fix it for me for free :) read more

So sad about this but I do not recommend this salon. My first visit to get a set was great. Beautiful red tipped french. My 2nd visit, no complaints. Third visit My fill was thick, lumpy and uneven. The next day I called and the always upbeat receptionist said to come and they would fix them no charge! Well. Not only is every nail still a different length and shape from the coordinating nails on the other hand the person doing my nails was clearly not happy. After my nails were painted and dry she went back in with a FILE and went around the edges on a couple of my nails. Are you kidding? Found out it was the owner. Ive been getting my nails done since the early 90's and have never seen such sloppy work! Go at your own risk. read more

I am giving two stars because the salon was lovely and the people were friendly. I had heard good things about Lux and a friend was going there, so I went along. The tech who did my set was very friendly, which was nice. I pointed out a little way in that on several of my nails, the tip she had chosen was much narrower than my actual nails and she did that thing where she assured me she would make it okay...then didn't. Almost every nail has a tip that is too narrow. She filed my nails to the width of the tips...which looks like crap. She did nothing with my cuticles and there is enough of a gap at the base of the nail that it looked like I needed a fill when I left the salon. I will go back to my regular salon (Blossom in Battle Ground) from now on. read more

Amazing service omg, I love it here. First of all, I didn't get off work until 4 on Sunday and the salon closes at 4 but they were able to schedule me and my friend for 4:45. Best pedicures ever, and really lovely manicure. I think the staff is all wonderful and clearly passionate about the work they do. I just got a clear polish on my nails, and they dried completely before I left. That same evening the polish started coming off, and a week later I have like 4 nails that have no polish. My sister came with me, and she got French tips. Didn't last a week and already started coming off. With how much they charge for manis and pedis, definitely doesn't match the quality of the nail job. Do not recommend and we WILL NOT be coming back. The vibe is fine, lots of light, but there are no blinds, so the light from outside shines directly into your eyes, and they don't even care. read more

They take on WAY too many clients than they can handle. I came in for a mani/pedi, which ended up being just ok. I had my pedicure done and then they had me move to a manicure chair. The lady who was working on my manicure started on me, then told me to wait and moved on to another lady and started doing a pedicure on her. If she hadn't already started my manicure I would've got up and left but I sat there for 35 minutes as she did this woman's whole pedicure. The nail tech also didn't wash or sanitize her hands when she went from me to this woman and vice versa. Instead of telling you to wait 20-30 minutes when you first come in, they sit you down, start on your service, and then move on to someone else while you wait and can't leave. I understand it's a new salon and they want to take on as many new clients as possible but this was ridiculous. My friend also said she experienced the same thing at this salon. Neither of us will be returning, unfortunately. It's a beautiful salon. read more

This is not a place to go to if you have any problems with ingrown nails. I pointed it out during my pedicure and the next day my entire toe was extremely swollen and infected. Not sure if it's lack of knowledge on how to deal with ingrown nails or infection from tools but dissatisfied and in a lot of pain read more

Honestly the first time we went it was amazing the service was friendly, efficient, and I loved the outcome of my nails. My friend was less impressed but the designs were done well and the pedicures were great. The second time (today) was less than stellar the pedicures were rushed, and fairly aggressive, unfortunately the technician I just was not a fan of, "Matt" was dismissive, and bordering on abusive to my hands and feet, my nail beds have never been so sore, my nails feel loose, and my tips are swollen from him literally pinching back my skin on my fingers.. Shoulder massage not even 3 minutes. Was told I could purchase more massage for $1/minute. For a $35 manicure, I expect a luxury treatment. Don't waste your money here. read more

This spot is brand new. I spontaneously decided to get pedicures on a Sunday. I called and they were able to accommodate 4 of us. We went in and the place was so pretty and clean inside. But the last time I went, I got my nails done by Natalie. I think that's the name she gave me. I thought her name was Emily by mistake. I was trying to learn everyone's name. Because I really like going here. Anyways... after that she started being rude. I asked for a fill and didn't realize you couldn't do that with dip nails, Only acrilic. She made me feel stupid for not knowing when I asked. I was confused. I only started getting my nails done in March. I didn't know. So she proceeds to talk crap about it right in front on me to the two women working next to her about the situation. She thought I couldn't understand what she was saying. Unprofessional!!!! Im from Portland, but travel to Vancouver to come to this nail shop because it's the best place I could find with still reasonable prices. I'm very particular about my nails, and always try do something fun but the staff is always happy to do it for me. Jason is an exceptional nail artist and pays close attention to detail without rushing. He always makes sure his work is done well. I think she was getting frustrated due to the language barrier when I was asking for a certain color option. She then began rolling her eyes and asked that another woman come help. This place is beautifully decorated and super relaxing. Calm music, great view of nature on their large tv and if you want a beverage, they got you covered on the house. The staff was welcoming and polite. While I was there, I saw their range from basic colors to super bedazzled styles and I am impressed with their versatility. I've been getting my nails done for many years and when I asked him if my nails looked the same to him he started laughing and said it was because my nails were wide mind I've never had this issue with any other nail tech.
