I was 39 weeks pregnant and really looking for a way to relax and get some oxytocin pumping. Called around 3PM on a Saturday to see if they had room for a walk-in. They said to come on in! I didn't wait at all and they were well staffed. I don't know how the boss lady did it, but people kept coming in and somehow she was able to coordinate her staff to take care of each customer in a timely and high-quality manner! I went with the hot stone pedicure, which cost $33 at the time of my appointment. I was dealing with some calf soreness and requested the technician working in me to press harder around there - and she did JUST THAT!! It was so satisfying and the massage chair was another bonus. I have been looking for a new nail salon in the East Cobb / Lassiter High School area as the "busier" nail salons have fallen short lately. I am so glad I decided to give Lux Nails a try - hands down the best nail salon in my area. My pedicure came out beautiful and my technician was so thought to add glitter to my manicure and didn't add on all of "fees"! Mary did a wonderful job and was very thorough with my pedicure! i was hesitant to write a review, but after seeing this place had 4.5 stars... my expectations were not met. the one review that i can agree with was the wait time. i called ahead to make sure they weren't busy. i was told to come in but i'd had to wait for my SNS which was fine. sat in the pedicure chair for at least 10 minutes before they came over to soak the dip from my nails. my feet remained unsoaked for another 20 minutes. i had asked them to do a french pedicure but they had cut the nails so short that the line was an 1/2 inch thick! switched it up, fine. white toes it is. it took so long to finally get my nails started that she rushed through the process. (she did apologize for the wait.) did not shape them well to start, and ended up looking so uneven. by this point, i had been in the chair for almost 3 hrs. i was just ready to pay and leave. i will not be returning. read more

Very dirty. I didn't like how the workers would switch around metal nail tools and files between clients. My nails turned out very pretty, but the process was long and hard (about two hours). $10+ for tips, $3+ for shaping. My nails do look pretty though. Only been 3 days and already cracked read more

I love it at Lux! The young lady that does my nails did such a great job now I drive from Carrollton to come see her. My nails last almost a month between fills whereas everywhere else I walk out of the shop unhappy. Very thorough, usually a second or sometimes third lady comes to look and help. Another eye never hurts! They also have a huge selection of colors and offer waxing. The waxing is less expensive than other places I have gone and they are thorough. I have also gotten a pedi here. My feet are so ticklish but they put just enough pressure where I do not feel the need to kick and laugh. Definitely worth the drive. read more

A last minute decision to use a rare day off to treat our feet to a spa day!! A Yelp search of reviews and Nail Salons -- most were way too $$$ expensive with long waits blah blah & rude behavior which many are known for -- we came upon LUX which had convenient location and said 'Walk-ins Welcome'! We arrived at opening hour and there was already one very friendly woman started on what turned out to be some powder thing on her finger nails that was incredibly beautiful and NO GELATIN involved. I am definitely planning for that on my next visit!! Can't wait. As we settled into our pedicure a mutual friend walked and the four of us had the best three hours (Yes--we stayed long after our babies were dry!) Another lady walked in with an appointment at 10:30 and quickly joined the fun. What a great treat! LUX seems to be a sort of secret--not gigantic with all the bells and whistles--but if you're into a great pedicure and/or manicure (or both) offered by excellent & talented women & reasonable prices--put on your best smile and join the very satisfied folks at LUX (located across from HS on Shallowford Rd Marietta.) I have been here twice and am pleased with their services. The location itself is in an older, run down shopping center and the salon is small but they have always been able to fit me in right away. I have only gotten pedicures here and each time I left feeling like I had brand new feet. They have several different pedicure options and I always go with the deluxe version. For $30 you get all the basic pedicure services plus a nice foot massage and warm towel wrap. They also have a frequent visitor card which is a nice perk. read more
