However this morning I was in a pinch and needed to get a quick manicure before flying out to a wedding. My nails were decently short to begin with but the white tips were showing. I was never asked about shape, or anything really. Next thing I know she's putting the finishing gloss on and this was the finished product. Filed down so short and bulbous. The polish doesn't even cover the sides of the nail in some cases. I was on a phone call while checking out but called the manager as soon as I could to explain the situation. I sent photos and he tried to convince me there was no issue. So when I explained the issues, which to me were obvious... he came up with two solutions. 1) I go back in and they try to fix them. How? There is no more shaping because you've filed them down to nubs. 2) he offered 20% off the next time I come in. Come again??! There won't be a next time. WORST experience i've ever had at a nail salon. I am a hairdresser, and asked for her to make sure the edges of my nail were smooth so that not hair gets caught. the tech said she knew exactly what i was talking about and that she knew exactly how to achieve what i wanted. she proceeded to be EXTREMELY ROUGH with my hands and nails, i had to hold my hand up at her face the whole time (nothing to lay my arm on) and filed my finger nails until they were sore. then the drill... oh god, she absolutely shredded my skin (past my cuticles) on multiple nails. multiple started bleeding, and she just kept right on working. when i almost started crying, she put acetone on a cotton ball and doused my finger in it. i started to cry from how bad everything hurt. she never apologized, and never offered me a bandaid, or to put nail glue to cover it or anything. i've been getting my nails done for around 6 years and never in my whole life have i had an experience like this. when i got to the front, i asked for a discount and showed my nails to the attendant. all she offered was 15% off (that was a general promotion they were running) and nothing more than that. i do not recommend giving your business to this establishment at all. my techs name was Michelle. beware. read more

I have to start by saying I have been a loyal customer to this salon for over a year and i really wanted to love this place. I have been satisfied with my services mostly and i have been seeing "Lena" each time for my nails. Yesterday i visited the shop and drove there for 40 minutes in rain just to see "Lena". I showed her a picture of the nails i wanted and she said she can do it. I said great but after 40 minutes she told me she doesn't have that color. I got upset but then i tried not to make it hard and accepted to go for a similar color tone. But then after 15 minutes she tells me that she doesn't know how to do the design. I was very upset at this time but i was like, you know what? let me work with her and choose another look so i showed her another picture and she confirmed she can do the new design. She started to work on my nails while speaking in Vietnamese to the front desk guy in a very angry tone. You may think, us non Vietnamese people don't understand that you are talking about us! But we do, and it's extremely disrespectful. She did a chunky job with my design i asked her to fix it and she said it is not fixable. I then told her that i do not like this and this doesn't look professional and clean at all! I politely asked her to remove the design and just put regular gel polish on top. She then gives me a nasty look and tells me " can you come tomorrow ? I can't do this its late". Wow !! I tell her i have to look professionally presentable for my job tomorrow and that she cannot leave me with nails on process that can scratch and ruin my outfit until tomorrow!!! That is just against the code and extremely unprofessional. She laughs at me instead of at least apologizing and when i tell her that it is not my fault she makes her voice louder and tells me it is not her fault either !! Who's fault is it then ?! I wonder ! Then i tell her i understand and that this is just a timing issue. At this point i'm extremely upset and I just want to get out of this toxic environment. They keep talking Vietnamese right above my head with harsh tone after the lady accepts to put the top gel coat to make my nails minimally presentable in public for a day until i come back tomorrow. She rushes this service so much to the point that she leaves left over nail color all over my nails. She saw them yet she decided not to clean them.. this is extremely unhygienic!! I was shocked but i kept it in and when she was done i said "thank you i appreciate it". NO RESPONSE from her !!! Guess the worst part ?! They charged me for the messed up service i never asked for ! I was not willing to pay specially for a service that they promise to fix tomorrow but i felt harassed and pressured and they were closing the door and shutting down everything. 45$ for this mess and they sent me home !!! This used to be my go to spot. However just went this weekend and I can't say I will b going back. I felt rushed to select my color. They charge extra to get your nails shaped if you want them almond stilleto or coffin shaped. The lady cut my finger while "shaping" my nails. The nail shape on some of my nails are also crooked. Every time I go it seems to be a hit or miss. My past 2 visits are definitely a miss. I feel as if treat you differently if they think you're someone who will leave a bigger tip. Usually get great service here, but after this last experience I cannot justify another overpriced manicure. I always get SNS as I want to grow out my natural nails and acrylics were damaging them. They know this, I've been here like 20 times. Billy was my nail tech on this day. I asked him to add 2 layers of off white and 2 layers of a pale pink to create a translucent look. Paul, another nail tech, does this for you every time without contest if you ask. Billy however wasn't understanding what I was asking for and out of frustration yelled WHICH COLOR DO YOU WANT?! while pointing at the off white and pink. I'm not kidding...people turned and stared at us. He agreed to mix the two colors after I looked like I was on the verge of tears. I was already upset because he filed off half of my natural length that took over a month to grow out. I'd given up completely....didn't speak the rest of the appointment....just said thank you and left. Three days later, the SNS breaks on one nail, but my real nail is still intact underneath the powder. I call, and the host graciously invited me back for repair. I drive 2 hours round trip and show them the damage. The nail tech asked if I wanted to replace it with a tip, and I said no because I want to maintain my natural length. And then he files off half the damn nail!!! This is not repair you just made it worse!! I drove an hour there and an hour home for this??? I understand y'all are busy on Saturdays, and this could be a one time screw up by a disgruntled employee, but this was just so rude from beginning to end. Me, my mom, and my sister all come here together and make an appointment every time. We are always kind and tip well, and I was treated like shit this week. Too expensive for what they give. We had an appointment for 1:15, didn't get started until after 2, then it took John until after 3 to get done with my nails. I got acrylics. The lady that got there after me got her feet and nails done and was still out before me- and I heard her say she didn't have an appointment. They were very busy, but we made an appointment and I still got done way after a walk in that got more done than me. My nails are average and the pics below are 2 days after getting them done. They got messed up an hour and a half after I left- which I've never had happen. John told me they'd take 30 mins to dry and had me sit under the fans. We sat there for 20 mins and still, an hour later, messed up. They're lopsided as well and very thick. He didn't even bother painting the edges- which, I suppose, it not important to many, but it makes it look more finished imo. Overall, I won't be back. It just isn't worth $45+ tip for me to not love them and have them on my hands for weeks- especially after it taking 2 hours in total. (Side note: a lady came in and showed them where hers had been messed up when they did them the day before and they told her they were too busy and she'd have to come back another day. I wanted to try out this place and was very excited to get my 12 year old a full gel nail. I should have read the reviews before!!! I had a prior commitment so I asked them if they could see her in the time that I had , if now we could go back. They assured me they can provide the service after looking at the color style picture we showed them. The service tech MIMI was clueless on how to do a gel set, let alone be gentle with a 12 year old. We sat there for 1.5 hours with her trying , removing and adding color . At the end end , my daughter's nails looked like mini mattresses , so I asked if she could level them out . At this point she started speaking in a different language to all her colleagues in her store and I felt terrible for my daughter , while she was enduring MIMI's aggressive nail filer strokes without a word. At the check out - the lady was blaming me for having a time commitment by reasoning that , she did not have anyone to help with the ask, so she HAD to provide someone who basically could not do the job! Instead of just asking me to come back later, which most Nail SPAs do. I am so upset and disappointed at the level of service and disrespect . He didn't do any cleaning,manicure prior to placing the nails.My daughter asked for a specific color,then changed her mind telling him she wants lighter verson of the color before he started the painting,he laughed and disregarded that and proceeded with darker one. Went here today for a gel fill and pedicure with gel polish on toes...l selected both colors of OPI gel collection but what l received was some off brand polish that most likely came from the owner's country. My original gel nails were done in Texas and were perfect (no lifting or chipped color) except l needed to get a fill. 1. My fill lady did an alright job except one of my previous perfect nails was lumpy and had a smooth dip in it that wasn't there before but her polish technique was very good. 2. My pedicure was performed by a guy and he's good as well and l really had no complaints but 3. The charges for all of this was just plain outrageous...l was charged $45 for a gel refill, $40 for the pedicure and $18 for gel polish on the toes??? Wtf??? At that price l feel l should have gotten the bottle of polish for the up-charge and was charged a percentage for using my credit card. Will l return? Not in this lifetime and I'll be waiting for the day when the nail salons are no longer controlled by the asian culture and l can go in a salon that look more like the United Nations. read more

You can't make this stuff up! I went there for an SNS removal and then a manicure with gel polish. The technician filed my nails down and then put me in the hand warmers to let them soak off. So far, so good right? Well...after sitting and chatting with her friends she then proceeded to leave and go grab Starbucks. Starbucks is not even in the same shopping strip! She was gone for 30 minutes. Totally forgot about me. So, if you have time to kill and are not in a hurry then feel free to waste your day here.
