They are absolutely wonderful here!!! An adorable husband and wife just took over this location a couple of weeks ago... Their priorities are the customer.. They will do whatever it is that you want! They are open Sunday's (which is why I initially went there) and I'm glad I did. Believe me when I tell you, you will not be disappointed. Very close to home and work for me so it's a winner! Very nice staff and to get your nails done its' slightly cheaper than what it would at a regular salon. For $23 they do my toes, massage my feet and hot stones! Really hope they do well since they are new to the area. read more

This is such a great salon run but amazing people who work so hard to personalize everything for their customers. The spa pedicures are my favorite and Anna is such a great nail technician as well. They are fantastic with waxing, and shaping your eyebrows and offer great specials too! Owners are very nice. Showed me a better, healthier way to do a gel pink & white on my own nails. Beautiful design. I brought in a picture & she practiced it 1st before attempting it on my nails. Love the hot towel & hand massage. They do prefer cash over credit cards but, did not change the price when I had to pay that way. There was a little bit of a language barrier but, they overcome this with kindness. Also, love the off street parking behind the salon. read more

I highly recommend!!! Anna is wonderful. She takes her time and makes sure you are happy with all services. I had a refill, spa pedicure (which I recommend upgrading, its well-worth it), eyebrows and eyelashes. She uses the hot wax, stones and a six step process for the pedi which is an added plus and so nice and relaxing. Everything was perfect and the salon is very clean. I also had the pleasure of meeting Anna's husband who was also super nice! This family lives locally and I believe in supporting our fellow neighbors. I will definitely return. read more

This place is a little gem. It is a small place but they have courteous staff and are quick. Hopefully the gel polish will last for 2 weeks.

Stopped in to get a gel manicure because I didn't have time to drive to my usual place and the reviews posted were good. Although they took me right away and completed the service quickly, you can tell it was rushed and not thorough. Place has a large variety of colors but is cluttered and dusty. After 5 days, gel polish was already chipping, mine usually last 3 weeks. Also, they charge you a $2 fee to use your credit card for any amount even with a large service. read more

I see all these great reviews and frankly I don't understand. They are all very nice ....to your face. I have been there three times and have not enjoyed my time spent there at all. First time I had an appointment and was there for 2/12 hours for a refill. I did want to get the chrome nails but after three attempts I gave up and just got reg gel. I got charged for the chrome The work done was ok so I chucked it up to just being too busy Tried a second time I got the chrome nails. This time I had Anna the owner she was on her phone texting the entire time. The best part was it was a client that was not happy ! She showed me the entire text and what she was responding ... so unprofessional and she was rude to the girl on the text and said you don't like it you go somewhere else. On top of that my nails are very bumpy Third time went back because all of my chrome chipped in two days. The guy who did me was very nice but service was mediocre and they wanted to charge me again. Will def not return. I am in the customer service industry an know we all have bad days but if I told all my clients to go somewhere else I wouldn't have any left ! On a side note they dip your hand in paraffin at the end don't do it. It is not kept very well and not clean. read more

I was a little disappointed after I read reviews online. I had an appointment for a gel manicure and didn't get seen until 20 minutes after my time. There were flies all around which was irritating. By the time I did get taken back I was frustrated and just asked to have the gel polish removed. Half my nails were missing polish so this was easy to do. It took about 6 minutes to get the polish off and they charged me $12. I've been to other places that take the time to put a strengthener on before sending me away. My experience here was terrible they cater to and treat customers of different race (Caucasian) better than others it's not fair when we are all good paying customers . My cuticles were still very rough looking they didn't clean them up . I probably will stick to center city nail salons I will NOT return here I felt mistreated and felt it was a waste of money my nails are looking old within 3 days of getting them done . Went today for the first time because I needed a place that was open on Sundays. Definitely going back! Very friendly owners, gives pricing (which is very fair by the way) up front and makes recommendations. They also do a wax mask for your feet and hands during a spa mani/pedi that leaves your skin feeling pretty amazing. I'll be back for sure. read more

They do a good job on my nails and eyebrows and when I first started coming here a couple of years ago they offered water or soda. Now they rarely offer water. That's not a huge deal since it's not what I come here for but it was nice when they did offer. My problem is with the girl that works here. I don't know her name but she's the only one that speaks and understands English well. She likes to do things the way SHE wants them done and if I say I want my nails or eyebrows different than the way she's doing them she gets an attitude. This has happened a few times. The other lady that works here has a very good, pleasant attitude all the time and she does a great job. read more

I went to lux nails because my usual place was booked. After reading reviews of local salons I decided to try this one out. The salon itself appears very out dated and cluttered. There was a LARGE selection of polishes all over the salon which i think made it look even more cluttered. As far as The staff goes, they were friendly and greeted me right away. I was told to sit in a pedicure chair and waited a little bit of time for a technician. If I'm being honest I contemplated leaving because I felt if it looked this messy how good would my nails turn out?! The gentleman that works there did my pedicure and did a great job. He also did my gel mani which was just as good! Although I would not make this my go to salon all the time, if I ever couldn't get into my usual place I would definitely go back. None of these reviews talk about what the salon looks like inside and if they did maybe I wouldn't have been as shocked as I was but this is definitely an example of how to not judge a book by its cover! read more

I just had the pleasure of experiencing Lux Nails and will never ever go to another nail salon again!! Anna is the nicest, most talented and helpful technician I've even met in my thirty years of getting my nails done. She went above and beyond with all of the services and gave me such great tips on helping my dry skin, due to diabetes. The prices are very reasonable and the salon is so pretty and clean. I cannot recommend this salon enough. Her brother Dave was also working on the day I was there and was very nice and accommodating. Thank you again Anna!! read more
