I asked her again for quote and she said it depended on length of nails and shape and... Red flag #2. But the icing on the cake was when she offered to do a pedi for $30 for my child. I left and came back the charge was for more than discussed. She gave my child gel instead of a regular nail polish and expected me to pay the extra. My trust was lost. I cannot recommend a business that has questionable practices especially when you can get better service and prices up the road. I have 2 stars because the nails were nice. The toes were sloppy! I absolutely adore this nail salon. They are quick and efficient. I have live all over from Southern California to central Pa to Philly, to Virginia! Anna and Anna's team is AMAZING! They are fairly priced. My daughter who is 5 years old loves going, they have a cute Hello Kitty pedicure chair for kids. I have received refills, pedicures, waxing and eye lashes Extensions so far. I can contest that all turned out beautifully. I'm surprised the reviews are so good for this salon when its not exactly the cleanest. I was seated very fast considering there were only three technicians working. I did make an appointment for Anna who I belive is the owner. She informed me someone else would do the pedicure and she would do my nails which is fine. The spa pedicure bowls are old school. They dont use plastic bags in them. I didn't realize how much I appreciate the plastic bag covering until going to this salon. It really is more sanitary. Not to mention the towels they put down for your feet to sit on are stained heavily with nail polish and whatever else. Very unappealing. Another thing that I've never experienced before was that she used the nail filing drill on my toe nails when I've never worn gel on my toe nails. Excellent as usual! I am a fan of this location they have a variety of polishes, spa treatments and refreshments. Clean, Friend and nice staff. Yes there is a language issue, but they make due. Yesterday we did come in without an appointment and PLEASE BELIEVE you need one on any given day of the week. It was about 2.5 hours spent there most of which was soaking my feet, but jeeze were they nice about it. a gentleman came in who wasn't even doing nails and getting everyone set up. yeah there was grumpy lady who was appalled about how she had to wait but i clearly heard the 3 women who came in after us, say it was an appointment. My biggest issue is, they shouldn't sit you in the chair if they aren't ready. it's a shop most people understand that there is a wait. i think they fear you will walk out and go else where (that's why they didn't get 5 stars but that may change) But buyer beware! the shops near by do not cater to you with the prices they offer here. check their pages, they have amazing mon-tues-wednes deals!!! and Ms. Anne does wonderful designs for all occasions. anyway i'd like to say thank you to the staff for being so nice to us both, and hope they keep up the good work! read more

My friend sent her $30 on pay pal and she acted like she didn't get it when pay pal said she got it and didn't provide any type of service at all. Highway robbery that's what it was and then acted like she didn't understand what was going on. Came in for a quick pedi. Figured there would be a wait as it was 5:15pm. Pedi itself was alright, polish job was not great. Will likely not return and can paint my toes myself better next time. They also used the same exact foot exfoliation machine on 3 people back to back without cleaning. New spot. Thought I'd give this salon a try. Right around the corner from my brother's house and right across the street from WaWa! I got a pedicure here. $23 with hot stones and hot towel. The lady doing my pedicure took her time (maybe because I was the only one there) she was very professional and friendly and I can tell she knew what she was doing. Jay, who I'm guessing is the owner was also friendly. I was greeted right away and was frequently checked on. Place is nice and clean. I will be coming back to try their other services. Was looking for a new place to get my nails done in this area and honestly had never even seen Lux Nails there. But I'm really glad I found it and will definitely be going back. It's such a small salon but they had so many options! Just looking at pictures of previous clients, I could barely decide what to get on my nails because they do such a nice job. The lady who did our nails was really nice and did a great job. I got a full set with matte gel and my sister just got gel with a design. Only complaint I have is that one person did my nails, my sisters nails, and the girl after us. Not that it took too long for my sisters gel manicure, but she did my sisters entire manicure before she even started mine, and the girl who was after us also had to wait until mine was finished (she got there before mine was even started). It wasn't the end of the world and I still love my nails. There were two other people doing pedis the whole time. I can't wait to go back and check out everything else they have! read more

The reviews are true this is a great salon! I read about it here on yelp and decided to try it out. I usually only get my nails done for special occasions and always have some sort of problem- crappy polish job, bleeding cuticles, sore feet or legs from too hard scrubbing and the language barrier has been an issue for me a few times as well. The Salon itself was clean and organized which is an important thing most salons don't take seriously. Anna was amazing - she not only understood ( language and meaning) what I wanted but went above and beyond to make it better and seemed genuinely happy too. She was fast, experienced and outgoing. Nothing more I could ask for. Oh and they don't overcharge here either! $50 for a gel mani and regular pedi. Will definitely return here !! read more

I recently moved here and I was looking for a new salon for my pedicures. I am extremely cautious about cleanliness and I have no complaints with this place! All clean tools, right out of sanitized packaging! The people were nice, stayed open late when no one was there so I could come in! I got a hot stone massage and some lavender oil with my pedicure that smelled great! I'll definitely be coming back. So happy I found a place near me that was clean and reasonably priced!! Also, they have a fridge with free water and soda and coffee for customers..always a nice touch!! I found out about this place on Yelp, so I wanted to add my two cents for anyone who may be wondering. I'd like to state that I am not usually a fan of nail salons, and it takes a lot for me to return to one. Usually I end up returning to the place I hated least, but I am really getting tired of that. I figured there had to be someone good around here. Well, I think I finally found that place. I went on a Friday morning, so there wasn't anyone there. That also meant I didn't have to wait, which was nice. I was immediately welcomed by the owner and his wife. The wife did my manicure and pedicure today and it was the best I've ever had. She spent a lot of time on both services, and I definitely felt pampered. She also did not make my cuticles bleed, which seems to be an impossible thing to accomplish based on the last several manicures I've had done. This made me very happy They had a nice, new color selection for both regular and gel polish. Some places I've been to have bottles that look like they've been sitting around for years, but that wasn't the case here. The facility is also clean. In summary, the staff is so friendly and professional, the facility and tools are clean, and the polish is new. This place gets two thumbs up from me! read more

I was not the happiest at my last visit to my last, new-found nail salon so I decided to give Lux Nails a try based on all of the great reviews. The last place was bustling and noisy and not at all relaxing. I had a great experience here. It was not very busy and I did not feel rushed. I thought that they did a much more thorough job in cutting my cuticles than I have seen in other places. The leg massage for the spa pedicure was gentle and relaxing, not hard rubbing. I also felt that there were many choices of colors and their posted pictures show what they are capable of design wise. This shop is a bit smalll and there is no parking out front. There is a shared lot in the back plus some street parking on the side street. There are 4 pedicure chairs plus a "Hello Kitty" pediatric-sized chair. If there was one improvement, I would suggest turning off the Christmas music while the TV sound is on as it is a bit noisy and detracts from the relaxing experience. read more

The owner and his wife are always friendly and the service is very consistent (came here twice.) The quality of the salon is on point as well. I got my nails done by the wife and she was very detailed with my gel nails. She made sure that my nails were just the way I wanted them. Chose to try this place out because of the excellent yelp reviews, but unfortunately they did not deliver. They don't use the plastic liners in the tubs which grossed me out. The polish job was not great and I saw little specks of polish on my skin, even after she went around the edges of all of my toe nails with a q-tip with nail polish remover. Also 2 of my nails were cut slanted. Maybe this was just an off night for them, but I won't be back. read more

I was treated to a pedicure for my birthday and the person paying for my gift was charged a lesser amount than my current trip to the salon; which was to get the same exact style in a different color. When I brought this to the owner's attention she did not care and insisted on forcing me (a sister) to pay the increased amount. (there was no room granted for consideration when contracting with me) Please note that I traveled from another state to patronize this particular salon's nail tech, based on the skill level shown. And to make things even worse I witnessed the owner granting special treatment to a set of white females, whom did not pay the full amount owed; after all the work was completed. However, consideration was still granted to them, and they were allowed to leave the salon without fully paying for the services they had received. Another issue was untimely service. Two separate appointments were made in advance for the same time slot, hence we had to wait over twenty-five minutes just to be placed into a chair, and then my sister had to wait even longer before she was actually serviced. Then I had to wait for my sister to finish...no discounts were offered or applied to our final bills; to accommodate for the prolonged extended wait periods. Just totally substandard levels of treatment. I will end by pointing out that nondiscriminatory costumer service involves treating ALL clients with respect, dignity, and with a balanced approach in business (((period))). Not just treating a chosen few well, while overcharging others to fill in the gaps. Hence, I will not be going back to this particular nail salon, based on the unfair, unequal, and inconsiderate treatment knowingly inflicted. Unfortunately my final rating falls below the zero marker landing in the negatives. read more
