Annie waited patiently for her to arrive and still attended to her normal services. All after coming in on her day off to see my mom. My go-to person is Nancy, she always nails the design I ask for and goes out of her way to make me comfortable. The massage pedicure chairs are so comfortable I can usually catch a snooze while my feet are done. Kitchen Nail Bar does not disappoint.

The previous time where we came here together, we had an amazing nail spa day with sweet nail ladies, so I'm not sure what happened here this time around. My best friend was in town and wanted to get our nails done, so we came here last Friday morning. We booked a mani and a pedi. We checked in and didn't have to wait long for Mymy and Tina to start on our toes. Honestly, our whole pedicure experience well because our ladies were nice and just did their jobs. Here comes the bad part of our experience of when we were getting started on our manicures. We had originally booked two gel pedicure and one gel manicure and one gel builder. We asked if they can do gel builder for both manicure, which they said yes but one of us would have to wait 15 minutes which we said we were fine with. I had Tracy who started on my nails first and for the most part, she was quiet and just did her thing, which I preferred. Sadly, my best friend got Kandy who at first asked my best friend what she wanted for shape and length with the builder gel. My best friend told her she wanted to do a short almond shape. Kandy told her if she wants to do that then she would have to do a longer length, so my friend agreed and said a medium length is fine. I don't think Tracy or Kandy knew this, but we are Vietnamese and can understand everything that is being said!! Because Kandy later proceeded to complain in Vietnamese the ENTIRE manicure about how she doesn't know how she's going to my friend's nails because of what she picked, how she's going to be stuck doing it for a long time, how my friend "insisted" on doing this and how my friend's nails/fingers aren't straight and keep swerving. Tracy was fine for most of my manicure, but there was a couple times she would agree and say "yeah, this lady's fingers too". Halfway through, my best friend and I just stopped talking to each other because I was getting so annoyed of Kandy's complaining. I wished she would've just told us she couldn't do my friend's nail so we could've had another nail tech who would've been happy to do it. I didn't say anything because it was my first time seeing my best friend in months and she really wanted to get her nails done, so I bit my tongue but her complaints started giving me a headache. After Tracy was done with my manicure, she asked me if we were paying separately or together. I told her together, so she punched in the numbers and gave me a total of $295. I gave her $300 in cash and was going to ask for change, but I heard her saying in Vietnamese about how she had little to no change. By the time I looked up after I paid, she had left the table. **I turned over to my friend and told her I had a headache, so I was going to wait outside in the car. I gave her cash to tip everyone after she's done telling her I overheard Tracy saying she didn't really have any change, so my friend can ask her nail lady for change.** When my friend was done and came out 15 minutes later, she told me Tracy came up shocked and complained about how I walked out and didn't tip on a $295 service and how she couldn't believe it - repeating it over and over. I wished she would've waited until my friend was done with her nails, so she could've seen that we were going to tip... My friend said they were a little nicer when she pulled out the cash I gave her to tip, but the whole experience put a really bad taste in our mouths. I won't be back here again.

My friend Carissa recommended 408's nail shop and also recommended I have Hana do my pedicure. I went to their website and booked an appointment with Hana for a Paradise Pedicure. This is a spa pedicure with a collagen soak, exfoliating scrub, callus care, collagen mask, warm paraffin hot wax, six hot stones, and a soothing 15-minute massage. Finished with a warm towel wrap and your choice of polish. When I arrived, I was greeted by everyone lol, which was really nice. I signed in on their digital kiosk and then looked at a few nail color pallets to get an idea of what color I wanted. Once Hana was ready for me, she got me set up in a comfy pedicure chair and had my feet soak in the warm water. I chose the lemon scented food soak, scrub and lotion. It smelled so good. They offer you a variety of complimentary drinks. I chose the hot green tea. Hana even refilled it for me, which was so nice. My spa pedicure was very relaxing. Hana did an amazing job and I love the nail color I picked. Hana was so kind and very gentle with my feet. I was lucky enough to meet a new friend in the pedicure chair next to me that happened to be the mother of one of my Yelp friend's. It's a small world. The inside is spacious and very clean. It was a shocker as the price was so expensive. I had my pedicure done with Nina, and the price was $90. She did it very quick and the she didn't tell me the price, which sucks as they overcharge so much. Other customers don't tip and the nail techs belittle them in their language. I couldn't enjoy my pedicure knowing they were speaking down on others. I grew up with a Vietnamese father and understand everything they said. I don't recommend coming to this nail salon if you're looking for a smooth mani pedi that is worth it. The store is also dirty and very unhygienic. The bathroom had a cockroach. I asked the other customers about their experience with waxing and they told me the wax room was dirty too, and they reused the paraffine wax on them. This is simply unacceptable.
