Been coming here for years and just recently started getting face waxes. They shape my eyebrows and was my whole face. As a result my hair has been growing in thinner. I have a few stragglers but as time goes by it comes in further apart. They wax in a private room and prep with alcohol and powder. The was is lukewarm and comfy to the touch. Of course the fabric pull can be surprising your first time but you get use to it. My niece comes here too and loves it. read more

Before we entered we read the Sign it says Monday they closed at 8pm. We got here at 6:44. There was a lady sitting down she moved to the next chair so me & my son could sit down. My son sat down I remained standing coz of my medical condition. They just looked at us real quick then they continued on what they're doing Nobody greeted us. After standing for a minute, I finally came to the lady doing pedicure. I asked her if they have to do a haircut? One lady said that we have to wait a little bit. I replied: okay. I hate giving 1 star reviews, especially since I am all for supporting small businesses. I have gone here before for nail removal and the past few times the nail tech soaked my nails and took her time to get the acrylics off WITHOUT hurting me. Even at other places I've been to, usually they file off the gel first, then let me soak my nails to let it soften before they file the powder off. Today I decided to come to this spot since I just wanted the nail removal + clear pink gel and it was close to home. There was no one in here and I was seated right away, and she had me soak my fingers for literally 5 seconds before she took one of my hands and took the pliers, and dug her way into each nail. Mind you, the first hand was barely soaked into the acetone so this hurt so bad. When you pry in between a thin nail + powder like that, WITHOUT softening it what do you think will happen? She was breaking off the bits of of my real nail, which was already thin. I could see the layer of my nail stuck to the pieces and on one of my nails, it almost started to bleed. She was not gentle in any way and just kept forcing it to come off for each finger. I don't understand why she had to rush this process so much. No one was waiting for her and there were 2 other people in there already taking care of customers (they came after me). Once she pried everything off, she used a filer and filed my skin and I said "ooof" pulled back and she asked if it hurt, and I said yes. After that she just kept on filing and after that first time, you'd think shed be more gentle but she left 2 more cuts on my other hand, each time I flinched. By this time I am already cranky and want to get out of there but my nails looked disgusting, so I decided to stay for the clear pink gel. She used a small filer to shape my real nails, and was literally filing my skin lol so I was like alright ..I'm done with this. I told her I don't need to file the other hand and she insisted on it, so I was like okay fine whatever. She filed my other hand and left a deep cut in my pinky, and after this I just decided not to tip her. I always tip even when I am not satisfied with my nails, as long as they have a good attitude. I did not like her vibe in any way, she did not apologize for cutting me and I do not like when people rush a service I am paying for. This was not worth $30 in any way and I wouldn't mind even paying $40 elsewhere if they took their time to keep my nails healthy. It's read more

Horrible experience! They cut me 3 times and when I pointed it out, the lady didn't apologize or offer to put any antibiotic on it or anything. She just said, "Oh, I didn't see that" even after I clearly pointed out to her that I was bleeding in 3 places. They didn't use a base coat on either my manicure or my pedicure and I was using a really dark polish for both. For my manicure, she painted all the way to the cuticle line and on some of my nails, beyond it. When she tried to clean it up it looked awful. I guess I've been spoiled by the nail place I always go to which offers Zoya, OPI, and China Glaze brand polish. This place had cheap polish even though they show OPI in their display case, they don't offer it as an option. Thank goodness I brought my own polish. I just wish I had the forethought to bring my own nail equipment too. I don't even what to think about the sanitation at this place. My proof? The Starbucks bottles in each of the pedicure stations labeled "Disinfectant". I was like WTF?! I'm pretty sure that's not sanitary. I've been coming here with my mom since we lived nearby and most recently, my husband. I've always enjoyed the environment and how they take their time (especially during the pedicure) and have great prices. I usually get a mani/pedi or the occasional brow/face/armpit wax. Recently when they were allowed to open, I stopped by and made an appointment for a pedicure. They were very clean and I felt comfortable receiving services. I went in for the first time. I wanted a pedicure. The lady was fast with trimming my toe nails and was gentle. Her leg and feet message were good. I can't complain. The only thing disappointing was her attitude, she definitely wasn't too happy to be there lol The message chairs are very uncomfortable. They could use an upgrade. This place is pretty good, I've been coming here on and off for a few years, pretty much since it opened since it's so close to my house. I get my pedicures there regularly, and they do a good job. I always get the french tip, so I can't speak about their expertise when it comes to nail art, but the lines are always clean and even every time I get my toes done. The massages feel great, they really loosen up my calves and my feet feel relaxed and smooth after. I've only recently gotten my nails done there, and wasn't nicked at all. I got a full gel set, and they seem to be holding up pretty well. The lady wasn't very chatty, and that was fine by me. The only gripe I have about the manicure is that she didn't put any lotion on my hands when it was done, even though there was a huge bottle of lotion sitting on the table and my cuticles were obviously dry. =( Other than that, it was pretty good. I will go back in a couple of weeks to get my nails filled, so we will see how that goes! read more

I've heard wonderful things about this salon, especially from my girls during prom season! I admired the work done on their nails and decided to try it out with my friend before our trip to Disneyland (this was back in June.) I had high expectations though, maybe they were too high. The ladies didn't not speak much English, which would not have been a problem if they acted remotely interested in trying to help. I don't mind a language barrier as long as I can tell they're actually concerned with assisting customers and at least trying to communicate. My friend and I picked out our colors and were seated soon afterwards, it wasn't busy and we were walk ins which was nice. The lady who did my acrylic nails was on the phone half the time, which worried me that she wasn't paying attention to her work. Very unprofessional in my eyes. When she was done she just left me to put my nails under a UV light, without communicating how long I should leave them or if she was even done. I don't get my nails done very often so I wouldn't know any better, I just sat for about 10 minutes hoping that would be sufficient lol. My friend didn't even get her nails put under a UV light and wasn't sure if she was done either. We both paid with card, I tipped in cash, but my friend told the lady to add $2 from her card for tip. However the lady added $3... I found this to be very rude and unprofessional. It may have been a mistake but it didn't seem like it. Last but not least the next day I noticed pain on my pinky finger and realized I had a pretty deep cut.. I understand mistakes happen but maybe if she wasn't chatting away on the phone the cut could've been avoided. My nails turned out alright and they lasted me around 2 weeks. I've been here a handful of times. Have tried other places in between and for all the rave reviews those other places get, I always found this one did a better job with me. For starters I'm always a walk in because I decided to get my nails done on the spur and have never had to wait long. I don't have a regular person so I just get done by whomever but they've all done a great job. I can say I like getting my gel nails done by the owner lady the most because I can definitely tell she's putting all of her attention into it. But I've never been disappointed by any of the other women. Pedicures here have been very pleasant. At least my last one she really gave me care and attention. My legs (not just toes) felt great afterwards. Prices were decent enough. I believe it's about $30-35 for gel manicure (which is totally worth it, I did regular once and screwed up my nails before I left the place...it was all my fault). And pedicures are about $20-25. I really can't remember the prices but it seems like within normal range. I got stingy and tried to get a groupon pedicure at this other decently reviewed place once and got my toes too clipped to show for it. And lastly for me, it's right by my home. Super convenient. Too bad their TV is always on lifetime or something. Haha read more

My experience here was not good. When we walked in, the smell of the chemicals was overwhelming! It made me feel dizzy and I couldn't wait to get out of there! I got a pedicure done. It was just ok. My technician was actually really gentle and didn't hurt me. I don't know if this is normal, but it seemed like they share the buffers & scrubbers. I was a bit grossed out when she needed the buffer, the girl next to her passed hers over. I just sat there and prayed that I don't get a fungal infection (I never had one before - knock on wood!) My cousin got her manicure. She is getting ready for her wedding. She showed me the sloppy job they did on her nails. It was really sloppy, all over her fingers. The technician couldn't even stay on her nail and didn't even bother to clean it up. She also accidently cut her finger with the cutter. After I saw that, I don't think I'll ever come back. This place really needs to do something with the ventilation. Oh yea, AND they don't use OPI products! read more

The lady who did my nails was aggressive, she pushed too hard and cut my thumb. She also did a horrible job on the shape of my nails, I asked for an almond shape but some of them are longer than the others and some are shorter or more pointy. I explained that I wasn't happy with the shape of some so her bright idea to fix it was filing it down so it resulted in my different shaped nails. I gave this place a shot and regret this decision so much, please save yourself the time and money and avoid this place. I am utterly shocked to have read some of the reviews on here about this place. I absolutely love this place. Not only are the staff friendly, but very funny. Everyone has a great personality, and I never leave this place disappointed. My opinion, not every nail salon is perfect. And our nails are never going to be the best one everytime, but I know Nails Sensation provides the best customer service. You are only at loss if you do not speak up about your concerns. You can't just walk out of the store unhappy with what you have chosen and then blame the store for that decision that you have made. I know for a fact that the staff will more than happy to assist your needs if you bring it up to their attention. Overall, my experience with this shop has always been nothing but amazing. Nancee does my nails EXACTLY how I want them & she always happily help me find the exact color & design I want. The shop itself is well taken care of with new pedicure chairs & very good ventilation. My gel polish does NOT lift and peel like when I get them done at other places. My nails last for 3+ weeks when I allow them to grow long. Removing the polish isn't a pain like other places either because Nail Sensations uses a remover that doesn't dry out your nails & fingers when you soak them. I usually go to the one in Mckee(Color Nails), but that place always has so much people. So i wanted to try something new, something closer to home. At first i was very skeptical to come in because of the stars they have on Yelp, but i'm REALLY glad i came :) They have so much shellac nail colors to chose from, along with regular nail polish. This place is well organized. They even have magazines! Joy was the one who accommodated me. She refilled my nails and also painted them shellac. I'm very picky when it comes down to my nails. I was scared that my nails weren't going to come out nice because i walked in wanting to get a specific design. But they nailed it! At that point, i stopped doubting the place. $25 for shellac COLOR CHANGE, on my non acrylic nails. I had a regular manicure at another place for this price. The price board when you walk in says color change $12-14. "Oh but you got shellac" This is ridiculous! The nail tech took her sweet time taking the shellac off my nails by soaking them in a bowl of nail polish remover. she went back and forth with my hands soaking and drill filer, soaking and removing, soaking and removing, soaking and filing. REALLY?! 20 minutes in and she just got the color off my nails. Maybe I wouldn't mind paying 25 bucks if she finished in 10 minutes. Pushing it at 15 minutes. But 30 Minutes?! When I said well you cut hers she said sometimes we cut and trim. Permission should have been asked to the adult sitting right next to her. It happened so quick but my daughter told us when she got home. She's seeing the doctor tomorrow for her red, swollen, puss infected toe. Well I went in last Friday thinking that it would be a good idea to go and get my toes done there since the places I usually go do a poor job on my feet. Well turns out it was a mistake. They don't sanitize they're clippers and utensils which can cause an infection and pass germs around to other clientele. And they rinse clients feet with dirty water which is worse. I went got my toes done and the next day my big toe was sore thinking that it was because they lady pulled out my ingrown. Turns out it was an infection. I went to the salon letting them know my toe hurts and she tried to fix it. She made the matters worse. I had to go to urgent care and have the doctor had to numb the area which was very painful and pull out a big chunk of nail that was still stuck into my foot. I'm very upset and I'm put on bed rest for a few days until my toe recovers. Make sure you do your research before going to any salon. Make sure things are sanitized and cleaned. Also my brows were nice and thick when I came in and got a wax job done. Turns out she left my brows super thin and now I'm going to have to wait and grow back my brows before doing them again. Very upset the way things turned out with the salon. Like I said please please do your research before coming or going to any salon. Things can turn around really quickly. First of all, I had the most worst experience EVER had from a nail shop. I came in to have my out grown acrylics taken off. The lady that was doing it used the cuticle nippers to tear my acrylic off piece by piece. It was the most painful thing and she blamed it on me for having sensitive fingers I couldn't take the pain anymore and asked her to machine file them off and she said it wouldn't work. Usually the other places use the machine filler to file the acrylics off. She then asked another lady to do it (probably the boss) and she still did it painfully, more rough and unprofessionally. After she was done I told her to just stop I don't want to move on further. She charged me $10 and just treated me like I was the one giving HER a hard time. So where do I begin. Me and my daughter went there for manicure and a full set of nails. First They tell you that's your wait will be around 5 minutes but an hour later we were still sitting there. When I showed them the picture of what I wanted a very simple gel manicure with some designs she said yes and when I was seated I showed the lady what I wanted and she started talking in their language and that's when I knew she didn't know how to do what I wanted. She removed my gel nail polish by ramming some type of butter knife tool and when that didn't work she used the filing machine until I told her it burned! Overall my experience was not good and I won't be going back. My daughter had Joy do her ombré coffin nails and her nails look all crappy and uneven. She even cut her twice!
