First pic is my Before photo. Thick and healthy! The After photos are 67 days after getting highlights with Dana, the owner. Every blonde hair she touched became brittle and snapped off 5" from my scalp, I've clogged my hairbrush and the shower drain for the last 2 months, at least 1/3 of the volume is gone and what's left looks like macrame jute. When confronted, Dana said I need vitamins and maybe try Monoxidil. Zero accountability. It continues to break off to this day, so the horror isn't even over yet. Negative 5 stars read more

Super disappointed to have to write this review. I'll make this as short as I can. 5 years ago I brought my daughter in for highlights and Avonly, didn't listen to what I asked her NOT to do and toned her hair silver anyway. The hair was so over processed she actually "fried" my daughter's hair she got for her birthday. Took a couple years to finally get healthy again, So upsetting, l I changed stylist. My new hair girl, Ally was really great for a few years even though she never used conditioner after washing my hair my first visit with her. I asked her and she said "I didn't." "But business is business. When you work as a hairstylist and you know hair is everything to a woman you communicate to the (payee) what you can do to the client as much as possible to make sure she keeps hair healthy at home bc it shows that they care. Never got any feedback from Ally all the years I went to see her. I have been super disappointed in the lack of follow through and upkeep with my new extensions I paid for a few months ago. One, after I paid for the hair in advance she bought the wrong color that didn't match my color. I have black hair she ordered brown extensions and she mentioned she couldn't change them up since they were already paid for. Ally says to me nonchalantly "no big deal we'll tone your Extentions to match your color when we do your grays. I'm like, "ok, you know better than I." (At least you HOPE they know) Then after I showed her a photo of the length I wanted and she says "yep, got it" she cuts them way shorter than what I showed her ! I shared that with her and it didn't phase her one bit. Only Silence. Then the move up with grays for the second visit, was a "reinstall "" instead of the regular 2.5 week move up " (which is free ) but charged me half of the expensive amount they normally charge to reinstall bc it wasn't even time for a reinstall and I ended up leaving with one side longer than the other. I went home to cut that side on my own all she had to say was "damn, how did that happen! Hmmm!!" And never fixed it, just curled it so you couldn't even tell once I left. Half-ass work. Come to find out later when I came in to get the roots done I noticed she never added toner to the "brown" extensions.. Apparently she was just worried about making sure she reinstalled the extensions when it wasn't even time and didn't think about how to do her job 100% bc she probably figured I would not notice. I mentioned it to Ally the third time I came in for roots. She just said "No, I didn't tone, I guess I was just into the reinstall." Huh !?! Also, why my new hair already has split ends? Her response was simply "don't you use hair protector? "Uhh no" I exclaimed "I didn't realize the hair was going to split after only having them in for a 2.5 months. Again no communication on how to keep my new hair "NEW" just more silence. What's up with not saying to clients "So, new hair, make sure you .... Etc" bc the last time I had gotten extensions couple years back.. my hair never got split ends! While I had all these concerns and voiced them to her the week of my last visit she stayed silent the whole 1.5 hours with me. NO communication about pricing, what she'd do for me since I was so clearly disappointed....no small talk, no explanations, NOTHING. As if I, the customer, was wrong to have shared my concerns with her. Hmmmm! So I got up to leave, she didn't charge me for the toner .. AS she shouldn't. I paid for wrong color she ordered! Finally, once at the counter I realized this salon apparently doesn't for- warn clients that they've once again raised their prices. They show you a plaque on the counter that they're gonna charge you more. Not even a quick note or text prior to appointment. While we all know businesses must make necessary changes in pricing occasionally... we also know that the client should be for-warned at the very least. This business in my opinion, doesn't train their stylist's to do the right thing, to communicate to their clients not just gossip in their chair. Communication is key when we're talking about the most important part of being a woman, their HAIR!! I'm super disappointed in the lack of compassion and understanding to the clients needs that Ally and Avonly didn't or couldn't express, only passive aggressive behavior no one wants from their stylist while sitting at their station. It's clear on-going training in salons is highly recommended. I too am a business owner and know the number one rule. "Customers always right." Thats the only way to keep your clients happy with consistent visits. it's not a new rule, customer service is crucial to businesses. Ultimately, I'm sad it's come to this bc I really liked Dana, the salon, the location and its cleanliness. Very disappointed in both Avonly and Ally. Thank God I found a better place of service where I don't have to deal with people who don't care. They just care about the money. Clearly! read more

Went to get my roots done. Did not match my hair what so ever and look the same as before so unnecessary bleach was added to my hair and it did nothing at all this place is awful just go find another salon I will never go back even after paying the premium price for the service and tip just for it to look awful. Why does my very light blonde hair look brown at the roots? Thats my natural hair color went to get the roots done to match my blonde hair and they did nothing but not know how to do hair. This place is beautiful and the talent looks good. I tried to apply for a job here and had an interview set. The day I came for that interview the owner didn't even have the decency to come tell me she didn't have time to talk to me. She had someone else do it. Second, I feel I was judged for the way I looked. I'm a very talented artist and will now be taking me talent to another state. I have tried multiple times to contact the salon and they don't even have the wherewithal to contact me and tell me why they don't want me in their salon with out even knowing what my work is like or how hard of a worker I am. I wish I could give this salon no stars. But I am not able to. I was appalled at the lack of communication when setting up an appointment. When I made it into this salon, I was expecting the ambience talked about on their website. Instead the energy was harsh, the "live" plant wall is dead. I am sure this is due to the negative energy you feel the moment you step foot in. I listened to the conversations around me and have never heard a more unprofessional "owner". She was speaking ill to another stylist about other people. tried to make an apt for wedding updo. called on a tuesday to make the apt and told them multiple times that i wanted to come in for a bridal updo to see it and see what they come up with and how my hair looked when they did my updo before i booked them for the day. they said it would have to wait till Friday for them to have the time to do it. went in today at 2 and was told they thought it was just for a consult and i would have to reschedule to actually get the updo done. read more
